In a world that is made in China, surrounded by services which treat you like a number, I am happy to support this local business putting food on the tables of good local folks who are in the business of helping others. Randy came out to replace 9 of my windows with excellent craftsmanship and service with a smile. I gave him access behind the roses and under the hummingbird feeders and now I have glass that will stand the test of time giving the best view we have had of our garden. Call Denise, she will answer all of your questions and get you on the way to being as happy as we are! read more

I built a new custom home 10 years ago, installing high quality windows that I understood had a unconditional lifetime warranty. When the house was 8 years old, I began to notice some of the windows were developing a haze between the 2 panes of glass. When I learned the manufacturer would not take care of the defect under warranty, I did some research on local glass businesses and was fortunate to find GLENVIEW GLASS as the best company to handle the replacement of my10 Insulated Glass Units (IGU). I learned the Hall family has been in business in El Cajon for over 100 years, with Glenview Glass & Screen opening 36 years ago, owned by the Hall family. The process was smooth, quick and without issue, from the measurements by their employees who responded to my home the next day to the final installation of the 10 IGUs a couple weeks later. Appreciating my situation with the disappointment of the original manufacturer not honoring their warranty, Madysen Hall at Glenview Glass even contacted the original manufacturer of my windows and was able to convince them to do the right thing, providing a discounted price on my replacement IGUs. This family run business practices the values of courtesy, honesty and integrity in all their business dealings. I refer all my friends, family and neighbors to Glenview Glass for any needs in this industry. Gary H, San Diego read more

THEY JUST DONT CALL BACK! PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT! About a year ago I had a great experience with Glenview. They made two custom sliding screen doors and the price was very fair! BUT NOW... Recently, I submitted a request for a call back online and then a few days later called back and left a message with a genuinely nice woman just returning from vacation who assured me I would get a call the next day. It's been about a week since that call and 2 weeks since the website request for callback - I've heard nothing. LONG STORY SHORT Great work, but if you don't hear back quickly - just keep moving so your project doesn't get held up. read more

It's not easy finding someone to replace brand-name, dual-pane custom windows in San Diego. Fortunately there is a professional team at Glenview Glass & Screen (in El Cajon, CA) that can get it done right. One of the small windows in our living room was broken, I believe by a bird. (They occasionally fly into our bigger windows, sometimes at their own peril. I was surprised to see this one broken with no bird body below it.) Anyway, I called around and after reaching a few other vendors, Denise at Glenview Glass said they could replace the window. If you know about how dual-pane cartridges/modules need to be fabricated at the factory for a proper seal, you can guess you're not going to get next-day service. When in doubt, put up some plywood. Fortunately in our case, only the outer pane was broken. Randy came out to measure, then later returned to install the replacement module which included the requisite tempered glass, due to the low height of the window. He did a great job, and gave me the pro-tip to NEVER buy gray duct tape as I saw how much adhesive residue was left on the window frame from my "bar" across the damaged window, providing anyone with a visual notice of the situation. (Black duct tape works better.) Anyway, as a former SoCal investment property owner/manager, I started the habit of making a note of contractors I can count on in the future. Glenview Glass has taken that spot for glass installation & repair here in San Diego. read more

Glenview Glass & Screen - It's a small job, but those are usually the ones that are hard to get someone to come out and get done. - Windows Installation Near Me - El Cajon, California

Our Sliding patio Door screen was brittle and tearing from 5 years of sun exposure, Kids, a puppy and life. I called Glenview and got a ballpark quote on the phone. Heather was helpful. I took the door down and dropped it off. The screen was replaced and I was able to pick it up about a week later. Paid on pick-up. Very happy with the outcome. We chose to put a nice looking pet-grate on the bottom portion of the door for an additional fee and it has been totally worth it. Our Bully hasn't pushed on the door once in the weeks since I put the door back up. It was also a great time to scrub out the track and spray the wheels with lithium grease. Glides so easy and quiet. I'm always happy to spread the word whenever I come across a local gem such as Glenview Glass and Screen. An easy recommendation for anyone looking for services in the mirror or screen department. I started off by ordering a replacement mirror for a cabinet in my RV restroom. After a brief debacle where I sadly provided the incorrect measurements, not once, but THREE times, Glenview continued to recut my mirror until it was at the correct size, and all with NO additional fees. WHEN DOES THAT EVER HAPPEN?!?! A huge shout-out to David, the owner, and all the staff at Glenview. read more

It was a pleasure working with Glenview Glass and Screen. They did an excellent job installing four large windows in the front of our home. The most important aspect of their service, in my opinion, is the attention to detail and the pursuit of perfection in their work. We have a brick home, which made the installation more difficult than for a standard wood and stucco home. But everyone involved took their time and made sure that they did this job perfectly right. Owner Craig Hall did an excellent job of arranging the team for this challenging job, and he was very responsive with information whenever we had a question about something. Randy, the supervisor, was also very helpful and made sure that everything was done in the best way possible. It was clear these guys wanted to do the best job possible for us. Juan, the lead technician, lived up to his reputation as a wizard with windows. Again, though the bricks presented a challenge, he did an excellent job from beginning to end. And Eric, the other technician, was also outstanding, a hard worker, and a very pleasant and nice guy. Mike came by one of the days to help, and he, too, was great. All in all, it was a real pleasure working with this fine group of craftsmen. It's always inspiring to watch professionals do an excellent job at their craft, especially when they overcome challenges and obstacles to achieve an outstanding result. read more

We scheduled an appointment to replace a few windows and get some ideas of the options available. The company was great at letting us know when they could have someone out. When the time came for the visit Mike and David arrived after having called to let us know they were running a little ahead of schedule. They arrived when they said and they were both outstanding and knowledgeable about the 3 different projects that we need done. Mike and David explained everything in detail and will prepare the separate estimates for us. It's so nice to work with professionals like this. Thanks! Yes, there is a charge for their estimate, but it is applied to the project cost should you go with them. There was no rush and we received much more than $65 worth of attention and information from their visit. read more

In this day of no customer service, it was a pleasure to deal with the team at Glenview Glass. I wouldn't recommend this business. Have been in contact with Denise since July 8 only for her or Heather to cancel an appt we had this week (Aug 29) that was made several weeks prior and was lied to about a voicemail having been left of a new appt and an email being sent. Was just told today (Aug 31) there is no appt on the books and to try a new glass business entirely because they might not find the part, which we were aware of and was the reason for the appt, to collect a sample and see if they could locate the part, but what a waste of the last two months of correspondence. At this point we want nothing to do with this business and are calling Best Value Glass, per their recommendation they have a better range of service. In addition, each time I tried to contact them I was told by Heather that Denise was in an interview or at dentist appt etc and that I'd get a call back and it just wouldn't happen. Two months of speaking and I've never gotten Denise on the phone. Email was also not a good way of correspondence. Poor customer service and poor knowledge of product read more

I just have to brag about the excellent customer service by Miss Dee Dee at Glenview Glass. I have a 3-panel glass door that I bought from Dixieline, and after 5 years, it needs some servicing to correct some misalignment. I was given many runarounds by Dixieline. In the end, Dixieline would not and could not service my door, citing the reason that they did not install it the first time. They offered many times to call me back for recommendation on an alternate solution, but they never did, and for 2 weeks, I had to call them multiple times to follow-up. I was finally given the contact at Glenview Glass. Dee Dee answered my call and she is absolutely amazing in the way she diligently follows-up and goes the extra mile to ensure that my problem got resolved. I want to congratulate Glenview Glass for having such an incredible employee like Dee Dee. I highly recommend Glenview Glass to you! read more

I called to ask for directions because navigation brought me to a different location. I didn't do business with them because if the owner has very bad attitude how can I do business with them so not recommended at all read more

Customer service is alive and well at Glenview Glass and Screen! Bec I live in Escondido. Deedee was thoughtful enough to save me a trip to El Cajon by sending me a few referrals in Escondido. when that didn't work out, I made the drive to GGS and was greeted by Deedee ,Brooke and Jim(?). they are without a doubt the most polite and professional people you could ever meet. Brooke combined the intact pieces of my two broken screens to create a rebuilt screen, saving me the cost of two new screens. I ordered my screen door last summer and just now and getting to the review. The door is GREAT my little bunnies do not chew it all all and it's very sturdy. I would recommend paying for the installation because after a few months they came back out because my screen door was missing a wheel on the bottom so it wouldn't roll right. They were great about making it right and didn't charge me the full "delivery" fee when they came to repair it. The door was a great purchase! All in (highest strength metal and the gate) it cost around $350 read more

Just had a broken window repaired by Zack and Kevin. They were professional, courteous and efficient. It was a positive experience.

When my late father-in-law's Navy Memorial Shadow box came crashing to the ground, the glass shattered, I needed a custom piece of glass made ASAP. I found these folks after being referred to them from my local hardware store. What I received was quick and outstanding service, which also includes a "thank you for youre Dads Service" note attached to the box. The repair was reasonable and this company displayed a total "no job is too small" attitude! I could also see they do major window installs too. Highly recommended! read more

I put Milguard double pane windows in my house during a reconstruction 22 years ago. Needless to say, some of the seals went bad and the warranty was for 20 years. I needed new windows and but I didn't want to have to break my stucco removing the frames. A friend suggested that I talk with Glenview glass and screen. They suggested that I replace the glass instead. Kevin and John came out looked at my windows and said that not all the glass needed to be replaced. I ended up replacing 12 panes. They measured and ordered my glass. All the glass had to be specially cut. They came out a few weeks later. Glenview kept me up to date during the whole process. Madison called me and told me that the crew would be short handed and that it would take all day to complete the job. On the day of the work, Kevin, John, and Mike showed up promptly at 9 am. I was to move everything in front of the windows for their access. I couldn't move a cabinet in my garage. Way to heavy for me. Kevin and John said that they would move it. These guys were professional, personable and worked non stop. Each had a job and worked efficiently. They finished early afternoon. When they left, I went around the house to look at my new windows. One window that a problem with the spring still didn't work. I quickly called Glenview to see if they could stop the guys before they got too far away. John came back and apologized about the window. He took a look at it and realized that a plastic piece that held the spring in place had broke. Not their fault. That's why the window wouldn't work in the first place years earlier. He said that they would have to order a whole new window. He left back to their shop in El Cajon. An hour later, Kevin and John came back to my house in Serra Mesa. Kevin had a solution and fixed that window without replacing it. They could of came back another day but they drove over a half hour to fix that one part. These guys are the best! I recommend Glenview glass and screen to anyone. Hard to find integrity like that in a business anymore. read more

Wife and I recently purchased an older home with a lot of single pane windows. We called Glenview and we're glad we did. Denise & all the office staff are great, and they helped us get our windows before the deadline for the Sunrise Powerlink grant we received. Randy came out to see the windows and give us an estimate, we were impressed and just decided to go with Glenview over the other guys. They communicated with us great, and the work was quick and turned out nice. We still have a lot of windows, so we definitely know who we'll be calling next year. read more

This is the most unprofessional company I've attempted to work with. In the beginning, I was told to email the dimensions of my Milgard windows that need replacing to Denise, and after several attempts and two months of waiting, I never got a response. I then spoke with Heather, who said she would get a message to Denise. I was finally given an estimate and agreed to the amount. They asked for 1/2 down to start the job. I got a voicemail message that they were ready to come out and verify the measurements, and I have now called them back four times to set that up. Each time, I've been told that Denise will call me back, but she hasn't. Several more months have gone by and, even though I have paid half the amount, they still have not called back. When I called the last time, I was told it was because Denise had 23 people ahead of me and, due to COVID, they are backed up. If I don't get a response from Denise in the next few days, I will need to take them to court to get my money back so I can start all over again with another company. Meanwhile, I have four windows that have gone bad and in dire need of replacement. This company should not be taking money from customers if they're so busy that they can't even follow through. read more

I was referred to Glenview Glass and Screen by MilGard Window to replace a the screen door to an older sliding glass window. Although MilGard has a lifetime warranty for their products, it does apply to screen doors beyond "x years" old (which is reasonable). I contacted Tina at Glenview for a future appointment because of my travel arrangements and set up a visit which allowed me to bring in the original bent door in as the template. Tanya wrote up the work order and answered all of my questions: Both Tina and Tanya were terrific. The door was completed as promised ... and looks great. I had a minor installation question, which Craig answered quickly over the phone and the deed was done! They also offer Veterans discounts! I would not hesitate to use Glenview for new fabrications ... they are top notch, and have my highest recommendation! read more

Working with Glenview was easy peasy and I'm so happy our local Dixieline recommended I deal with Glenview directly for two new Security Screen Doors. OMG ... the doors are beautiful. Work was done in a timely fashion; they cleaned up afterwards; and, we could not be more pleased. It is my pleasure to recommend this company! Thank you Glenview for a job well done! :-) read more
