They helped rush the job for our flight the next morning and provided us a shipping box with foam inside to keep it insulated.

The ambience is just like a regular meat market you go in and there's a counter with all the meat. We walked in and we asked for a specific type of steak. We saw the prize of moving on. We needed to get five and so we asked about recommendations on a cheaper cut of steak that would feed fat people and not break the bank. They were really helpful and helping us pick out the steaks that night and then we also picked up some bacon and I believe some dried meats like ham hocks or it was turkey necks. I don't remember. We have gone back and we had thought about looking at meat packages, but we haven't done it yet. We don't have room in our freezer, but they have really good prices. If you're looking straight from the butcher check them out I think you will be surprised at what you can get there and what they do have also ask about anything you may not have been able to find they may have it.

I couldn't believe I was eating a hot dog!!! Also, there pepper bacon HOLY SH*T. It was the best bacon I've ever had!! I don't think I'll be able to go back to those Costco hot dogs & bacon. I am blown away! Also, the staff is really friendly and the location is easy to find.

Indian Valley Meats specialize in different types of game meat like Elk, Caribous, etc. But most of the meats are in jerky or vac- pack sausage form. We were really hoping for there to be fresh meat here available for purchase. However, by the register, we saw two large plastic containers of fresh meat (not sure what) just sitting out. There were also flies in the store. It surprised me that the meat was not kept on ice and not covered to protect from bugs and other possible contaminants. Definitely not our idea of wanting to try game meat in this form and wouldn't come back.

I wondered why I had just now got around to visiting Indian Valley at their Indian, AK location…read more As soon as I pulled up, I realized why: this is the definition of "tourist trap". My Mom and brother are visiting (tourists) and even they weren't impressed. This place is mostly overpriced jerky and sausage that is deceptively marketed. What do I mean? Well, stuff like this: "Elk Sausage": first ingredient "beef" "Reindeer Sausage": first ingredient "pork" If you're looking for cuts of game meat, say an Elk ribeye or a Caribou steak...this is not the place, they don't have any meat like this. If you're looking for 5% wild/game meat augmented with beef and pork, this is your spot! The snack-sized portions of jerky start at roughly $16. I saw a small container of habanero garlic cloves for about $18. They do process game meat that you've hunted yourself, that might be the best use of this business. Otherwise, don't bother.

I don't know on this one…read more I really like this Carr's. Mainly because I'm a pretty simple person. The store doesn't change. I can make my grocery list based on the store layout and be in and out in under 20 minutes. Why 3 stars? 1- if you go after 10pm the clientele drastically changes. I wouldn't recommend coming here after ten or before 8am. They are open 24 hours though. 2- and this could be really petty of me. But I usually go to the human check out. The past four Sunday's when I came in they only had one register open with a human. And when I got there, she was sitting in a chair at the register. This made it so she couldn't reach your groceries. She also did not bag my groceries. Again, I may be petty. But I didn't go to self check out to avoid all of this.

Well there stacking the shelves and you can't get down none of the isles for what you need and if you offer a sale, have that stuff available. Nothing I can for was accessible or available. Said something to the checkout about the homeless blocking the door and bumming food and money but they said they can't do much. Humm. On the way out there harassing me for stuff as I got a couple bags with stuff. Really!!! Might have to find a new store

Wow y'all, wow. I…read moreknow tensions are high and we're getting cabin fever, but can we please show some empathy for the people that are out on the front lines? Fred Meyer's employees put themselves at risk of infection every day. They are overworked and understaffed and underpaid. They, along with medical professionals and first responders, are keeping us alive right now. The only difference is that they are paid and respected much less by our society. To clear a few things up: Instacart: is not owned by Fred Meyer. If you have a problem with them, you shouldn't put that on Fred Meyer. Also: Instacart workers are also on the front lines, and need your compassion. It's a GOOD THING: that grocery stores are being strict about returns. THIS DISCOURAGES HOARDING, in addition to being SAFE. In times like this, we should only buy what we NEED. OK, so with that soapbox out of the way: Freddies is doing a great job, all things considered. Social distancing markers are in place on the floors. Employees are constantly sanitizing and/or changing out gloves. Food is getting re-stocked only days after the hoarders take it all. Despite all the added strain, employees remain cheerful and eager to help. Oh, and they are keeping alcohol sales going...essential indeed. Let's be nice, and keep it classy, Anchorage. We'll get through this.
