I was ATV'ing and asked our guide I'm still looking for a place that has Live King Crabs. He told me where these guys were! I promised Judy I'd get one for her Birthday. We got one for the 3 of us that year. I had seen Live King Crab only once at New Sagaya but it was special and it's rare. Each year you never know with them. But every year, Aquatech gets it in all through the crabbing season and they ship it all over the world. It's my birthday tomorrow and that means a special dinner of course so I swung by today to see if they have Live King and they do! LIVE Golden King Crab is officially on my menu! These Golden King Crabs average 5-8 lbs each so 2 crabs will be nice for a family gathering of 7. Now the secrets out! Shhhhhhhh!

The ambience is just like a regular meat market you go in and there's a counter with all the meat. We walked in and we asked for a specific type of steak. We saw the prize of moving on. We needed to get five and so we asked about recommendations on a cheaper cut of steak that would feed fat people and not break the bank. They were really helpful and helping us pick out the steaks that night and then we also picked up some bacon and I believe some dried meats like ham hocks or it was turkey necks. I don't remember. We have gone back and we had thought about looking at meat packages, but we haven't done it yet. We don't have room in our freezer, but they have really good prices. If you're looking straight from the butcher check them out I think you will be surprised at what you can get there and what they do have also ask about anything you may not have been able to find they may have it.

Limited Reserve crab is the biggest that you can buy. Makes a delicious & exclusive gift, a fantastic meal for special occasions, or a luxurious treat for yourself." I get a similar size at my grocery store for about $12-$14 a lb. I am NOT IMPRESSED with my order. There was NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THE SIZE I RECEIVED FOR $235. If you're looking for GREAT crab, I suggest Fulton Fish Market in NY. We are repeat customers and bought fresh frozen fish ( halibut and salmon) 65 lbs total and over…read more$1,000.00. It was shipped overnight from Alaska to San Diego, California. It wasn't properly packaged because when we received it, it was completely thawed, barely cool to the touch. The ice packs had shifted to one side of the salmon. The halibut was partially frozen. Very disapointed since this purchase was for personal use to be stored for the year. We bought insurance in case there was a problem and the response from the staff was inadequate. They said as long as the fish was cold to the touch there was no issue. They told me to just refreezee it and it would be safe to eat it. I feel like they ignored my request for the insurance although we paid for it, and I didn't feel safe eating the fish I was so looking forward to sharing with my family and friends. I just wish the insurance we bought and paid for was honored.
