I enjoyed eating breakfast in this establishment. It was a Monday morning so it really wasn't crowded but the handsome waiter who took my order was very accommodating. I assume he is like that to all his customers or he was just being overly helpful to me because there were only 2 other customers dining that morning. Also, I must make note that I ordered green tea. Oh My goodness. This tea was delicious. It was so good and I drink green tea all the time but this had a certain tang to it that made me sit up and take notice. I will definitely will be back again. read more

Stopped in for a late dinner after a basketball tournament at Phillips arena. The service was wonderful! I ordered a Caesar salad which had the perfect amount of dressing and chilled lettuce. The food was good. I just wish they had choices to offer. Also wish they would open the bar for morning mimosas.

Really yummy restaurant! Very attentive staff and fast service. Everyone was happy with their meals and they had some healthy choices. Happy to find this gem in downtown Atlanta! read more

My wife and I stayed at the Glenn for the weekend and ate breakfast at the Glenn's Kitchen daily. Food was great and good portions for the price. Had dinner w/my husband@Glenn's kitchen last night. I was pleasantly surprised. For starters, we had the lobster cake&deviled eggs. The lobster cake was very chunky&the filling was flavorful. For dinner, I had the pork chops&he had the shrimp&grits w/a side a scallops. The scallops were delicious! The pork chops were grilled to perfection&they had just the right amount of seasonings to make them savory. I don't know what marinade is used on the pork chops, but it was sooooo good! Overall, we had a great experience&the server, Ayleen, made it even better with her attentiveness. It's an added bonus to eat here considering afterwards you can have cocktails on the rooftop and enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline. read more

The most impressive thing about this restaurant is that they took our reservation even after they had closed for breakfast. The dining Room had completely been closed out, all The guest were gone and because we made a reservation on open table they honored it. We ordered waffles bacon eggs and grits and the meal was served fresh and hot. The Southern hospitality in this restaurant is amazing. read more

A group of 10 went to Glenn's Kitchen last night before the Garth Brooks concert at Philips Arena. Let me start with the highlights: We had a reservation for 5:30, and were able to be seated and order drinks right away even though four members of our party were running late. The drink I ordered (the Presbyterian) and the food (Organic Grass-fed Beef Hamburger with fries) was very good. The restaurant was small, but tastefully decorated and laid out in a way that didn't make it feel like a typical hotel restaurant/bar. Unfortunately, while our server was friendly, the kitchen seemed to be completely overwhelmed by the full house, which led to serious problems with consistency and quality of food and service. Four people out of our group either got drinks that were wrong, or didn't get them for at least 30 minutes. I tasted the second attempt at making a correct Moscow Mule that a friend ordered, and it tasted vaguely like I'd imagine lemon PineSol tastes (it was comp'ed). Others food was not cooked to order or as described on the menu, and things like that. They were nice enough to comp. several items, and the person who ended up worst off got her entire meal comp'ed. If you're going to go, I'd recommend going on a slow night. read more

Ate here for lunch, it was good. Chicken was fresh and service as well. Ate here for dinner two days later and was dissapointed. $27 salmon was overcooked and salted. Service was slow eventhough we were the only table. Their rooftop bar is good. read more

Cold and hard - I just ordered the friend chicken slider with wing sauce and a pickle . The bun was hard, the chicken was thin and cold and they don't even serve blue cheese. I was disappointed and if you can't get that right, might not try anything else. read more

I came here for lunch recently. The restaurant had a great relaxing atmosphere to be in the middle of downtown. The valet guy was great as well. I had calamari and truffle fries for an appetizer. I would definitely get it again! The calamari was mixed with fried peppers and the truffle fries had an amazing cheese sprinkle on top. For an entree, I had the Atlanta Harvest Salad with Salmon, it was amazing, I added apples to my salad. The lemon based dressing was light and refreshing. I would definitely be back if in the area. read more

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere. "Perry" was a wonderful server. I suggest the shrimp and grits, the flavor was superb. There is a nice club/lounge upstairs for nightlife also. One word "CLASSY." read more

We had a 2-star dinner here on a Saturday night in May. It was at 7:30 at night and only two other tables were occupied, so clearly the entire town already knows what we did not. The server was kind, but bored. My wife's salad was enjoyable, but our friend and I ordered vegetable risotto. It came out immediately, which was suspicious, to say the least. Parts of it were cold, and parts of it were warm. It was overcooked and the spartan use of vegetables left a lot to be desired. When I found the odd stalk of asparagus, it was overcooked and bitter. We asked the server how the risotto was prepared, whether it was cooked to order. She said it was made at the beginning of the shift and then just kept in a pot. When we told her we didn't like it, she said we should have told her earlier in the meal. Because it was our fault, of course. The risotto was $18, but we shouldn't have paid more than $5 for this pile of crap. Later, we went upstairs to take our out-of-town guest upstairs and enjoyed fresh cocktails and a wonderful view of the city. Moral of the story: The rooftop bar is great. Skip Glenn's Kitchen. read more

I am sitting here after an amazing meal wondering how I can explain how I am feeling. I started with one of their amazing signature cocktails - a peach old fashioned - that sparked in my mouth. I had the chicken wings appetizer ( warning: they are excellent but messy - I had to go to the restroom to wash my hands and face). I had the Carolina rice which was good , but not great. I just ended the night with the Cider Sangria (yum!) and a black cherry bread pudding. If you are in Atlanta you need to visit this place! read more

Great food and customer service. I chose to eat breakfast here although staying at the Omni. The food is half the cost and only a couple of blocks away. Ate at the Omni twice - won't do that again. read more

Meh. It's as if the attached hotel felt like they had to open some sort of semi-classy eatery -- and only half-heartedly did so. The menu here is, in some places, fairly unfocused -- there's Carolina-style barbecue, there's a "Thai" salad, there's tacos, and there's a spin on a Cuban sandwich. In other places, it's simply unimaginative. Whatever the case, the result is pretty mediocre. The lamb ribs (appetizer, $12) are pitifully presented, dwarfed by the size of the plate and haphazardly thrown on. While the meat is fall-off-the-bone tender, it's absolutely drenched in barbecue sauce, making it damn near impossible to get a taste of the lamb's actual flavor. They attempt to make the dish look bigger than it really is by topping it with shoestring fried potatoes, but this doesn't do much to salvage anything. The Thai steak salad ($12) is even worse. You're presented with coarsely chopped romaine, topped with large handfuls of dry and chalky peanuts. There's some chopped mint and basil in there, along with long strands of shredded carrot. The steak itself, grilled rare and sliced into strips, is quite generously portioned, but it's flavorless, stringy, and chewy -- many parts damn near inedible. The only culinary item of note was the intriguingly tasty blood orange ginger dressing. Service is a little hit or miss, although we admittedly showed up just as they were opening up shop for the day. While generally slow, the service grew ever more sparse after we presented a Scoutmob for 50% off. They charged my card full price anyway, though they later explained that there was a mix up between some of the staff. The ambiance is nice enough, I suppose. It's on the ground level at a busy corner -- Spring Street and Marietta Street -- so do expect some noise, especially given the road work going on in the area at the moment. read more

I was in town for an Oprah event that brought lots of people to the area. During the break everyone left the Philips Arena in search of something to eat which logistically was a nightmare. The staff at Glenn's was as accommodating as possible but because of the crowd service was slow and disorganized. The food on the other hand was really good. I ordered the veggie sandwich which is loaded with grilled peppers, mushroom and loaded on a pesto coated bread. The sweet potato fries were delish. Although service was slow when the food arrived it piping hot and fresh. I would define dine at Glenn's again but maybe not during an event. read more

Ate at Glenn's Kitchen tonight and we were served by Jevon. The food was excellent and Jevon was a great server. He recommended the right food but more importantly, he was personable and made us feel welcome and comfortable. We had the bacon wrapped dates- delish! Followed by the fried chicken with okra and grits and the shrimp and grits. Both were fabulous. Only area that they could improve on- pay some attention to the wine list. McMurray Ranch will do in a pinch, but a great Pinot noir could have made this excellent meal ever better. They should also pay Jevon more- he was a fabulous ambassador for the restaurant and the city. read more

A great selection of appetizers made for a great start and almost finish. We started out with the warm pretzels (warning: they are almost the size of a hoagie roll), very delicious, the charcuterie board, chicken wings, truffle fries and pimento cheese. All so very delicious. Loved the pimento cheese dip! We finished off with the cornbread coconut cake and buttermilk ice cram. Omg! If you're a cornbread fan, this is a delicious treat. I'd come back just for that! I recommend this place for small groups. Share the appetizers so you can enjoy a few. read more

I visited the bar which is located at the bottom of the historic Glenn hotel in downtown Atlanta. My intentions were to visit the rooftop bar at the top known for its breathtaking views of the Atlanta skyline, but to my dismay, it was closed off to the public for a private event. Bummer. So I settled for the bar at the bottom for a cocktail with a friend. I went for a bourbon based craft cocktail with a strike of ginger included as this is usually my go to. I was pleasantly surprised at the concoction of flavors while still maintaining its stiffness and not tasting too sweet or spicy. My friend got a mezcal based cocktail which he also enjoyed. The bartender was great and really knew his mixology and briefed us on everything's were drinking. A chill setting with a relaxing ambiance, definitely stop by here for your post work , mid week libation after a long day. I'll definitely be back. read more

Attached to a hotel, restaurants sometimes get a bad wrap...and usually they am deserve it. Let Glenn's kitchen prove that this isn't always the case. Even if the food weren't great (Ohhhh but is IS!) you need to go so you can meet Javon. He will make even night owls happy for an early morning meal. He was incredibly attentive and never before has a waiter been a shining point of a vacation. The menu sports hefty meals (pancakes and sausages, burgers at lunch, steak at dinner) and options for the more...healthfully inclined such as a delicate egg white and arugula omelet and turkey sausage for breakfast, a delightful roasted red pepper soup for lunch and a grilled vegetable platter for dinner. The prices are reasonable. Not ground breaking low, but still quite reasonable. The seating is comfortable, and not over crowded and somehow they've managed to make a hotel restaurant not feel like a cafeteria or a ball room. It's local next to a MARTA stop, across from Centennial Park/the Aquarium/World of Coke/Civil and Human rights museum make it a perfect spot, too! read more

Poor service! Called on Sunday, made a reservation for 13 people with Earl for a Tuesday dinner @ 6:00. My first and last time visiting thus establishment. Staff great, ambience amazing food blah.... I had the steak and my friend had the trout. We spent most of our meal trying to figure out what it was about the meal we didn't like. My Caesar salad also tasted like honey mustard dressing instead of Caesar dressing. I was just told that they changed the menu about 3 says ago so maybe that's why things were awry but my palate just can't take another try sorry read more

Only reason for 2 stars is because the people and ambiance are nice. Its nice to go for cocktails and wine but the food is so bad. No flavor, bland, and not thoroughly cooked. Ive never had salmon prepared so bad. Including the sides (flavorless rice and crunchy ass collard greens). read more

Reservation was at 8 PM on a Wednesday, was not even half full and was sat (6 people), in the very back corner with two different sized tables, one of which was nearly causing all drinks to tip because of it being unleveled (wobbly). Poor refill service, yes, refill. They didn't even have to ask if anyone wanted another drink. All beverages were water and tea (no alcohol). They staggered the entrees, those that didn't get an app, got their entree while the others were finishing the apps. Then they proceeded to bring the entrees out for those with apps, while they were still eating their app. The light's suddenly went dim, almost dark in the middle of the meal. After about 2 minutes, they were turned back up. Inconsistent items, one side of the scallops for one diner was loaded with candied walnuts, the next plate had none (same dish). Another diner's entree was so spicy, after two bites, she couldn't eat anymore (she enjoys some flared food). The server didn't bother to say anything when taking her plate, when it was almost as if it was just brought out from the kitchen ("was there anything wrong", "would you like to take the remaining home"...). Didn't bother to mention that gratuity was added in the bill. My fault for not looking closer, but typically they will advise (at nicer establishments), when they have charged you for gratuity. We were being rushed, it seemed, as to get through every course. I would have given zero stars, but I had to select at least one. I would not recommend this restaurant based on this first experience. read more

Well the food and drinks were good I unfortunately found that my credit card was charged. I took a picture of my receipt since it was a work meal and found that my card was charged above the amount of the bill plus tip. Should be three phone calls to get to a manager who assured me they would credit my account I've now called four times again and still have no credit on able to get anybody to return calls to me. I would certainly be concerned with fraud at this restaurant since no one seems to care. read more

Just had a late-night dinner and wasn't expecting much of a meal since it was almost closing time. Surprisingly, the angus burger was delicious, perfectly seasoned and very tender. I think the manager (Clifton was his name?) and other staff were very attentive making sure everything was okay despite a last-minute late-night crowd showing up just after I was seated. We just wanted some place we could sit down for breakfast, but this was a big disappointment. The service was surprisingly awful - we were ignored for most of the meal, despite the restaurant being fairly empty. Coffee & water refills were very difficult to come by, and it took a long time to place & receive an order. Most of the food ordered was overcooked (eggs requested at over easy came with hard yolks, etc). It was a pretty sad experience and I would definitely recommend that people NOT come here. read more

My HOSA group chose this restaurant because it was near our hotel, one of my friends order the mahi filet and it was hard, cold, and flavorless. The waitress had to discuss with the manager to decide is she could get a different plate, when they did she ordered the chicken sandwich and when she took a bite the chicken was red and bleeding, the waitress told us that she bit into a vein in the chicken and that is why it was red, but the chicken was definitely undercooked. The manager never came to speak to her about the incident. read more

Food here is solid, I've been staying in the hotel for a few days now and have had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu isn't anything to write home about, but everything is meticulously prepared so the flavor and experience far surpasses the lack of creativity. There's definitely a strong presence of the chef de cuisine here, I saw him helping wait on tables and checking the bar when they were busy. Good for him! Service has been wonderful as well, really no complaints at all. Best hotel restaurant I've ever been to, I'd come here again even if I wasn't staying in one of the rooms. read more
