For the past three months a coworker has been bringing in divine treats from Glenn Wayne Bakery in Bohemia. I am embarrassed to admit it but i am addicted! I remember the first time he placed the big box on a table in the middle of the office and i graciously said no thank you. Finally after passing that box several times i quickly took a peak to see what i was missing. Lifting the box top i inhaled the delectable mouthwatering aroma and that was the beginning of my addiction. Lol. Seriously, GM Bakery is the best I've ever had. Every item my coworker has brought in has been fresh and delicious. Absolutely amazing. They sell donuts, pastries, pies, cookies, cakes, brownies, bagels, bread , etc. You can order large cakes for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings. Even the gluten free items taste the same as the regular items. Grab a cup of coffee to go. I plan on dropping by for a chocolate cake on my way to a party in a few weeks. I will warn you, if you indulge in these bakery treats weekly you will gain weight, it happened to me! read more

FANTASTIC bakery!!! I would say it's on par, and if not BETTER than Krispy Kreme. I recommend going earlier in the morning, but even when i've gone later in the day the quality is still impeccable. The original glazed are TO DIE FOR!! If you are a fan of fried or baked donuts, they have both, and this is most definitely the place to go. The staff is always very kind and helpful. The Apple Fritters are the best ever. The blueberry crumb donuts are amazing and all the donuts are great. The donut happy hour is great but if there's people waiting for it to begin, it's worth it to just grab your donuts at full price. Oh YUM!! This piece of heaven is tucked away off Vets Highway, and is easy to find. Such delicious donuts! Great variety. The staff is always so nice and welcoming. The place has gotten a face lift and it's so airy and flows nicely. Even the coffee is great!! Coffee and a donut, how can you go wrong? My personal favorites are the Boston cream and many types of jelly. Not a doughnut lover, not a problem! They offer pastries, cakes, pies, brownies, cookies and so much more. Glen Wayne has a nice gluten free section. Donuts, cookies, cakes, rainbow cake. They used to have GF everyday but I believe it's just the weekends now. I had a black and white cookie, which was delicious and a cupcake that was okay. I've previously had the gluten free donuts. The texture was good. I would recommend them. read more

I have lived full time in the Smithtown area for almost three years now and one of my biggest complaints was that I cannot find a real local donut shop outside of a Dunkin Donuts, which I am not a fan of. That all changed this week with the help of the great Al Fenza(follow him on Instagram if you don't already for the best food places!). He dropped Glenn Wayne and said it was the best glazed donut around, and he was not lying! This place is legit and I have never had a donut more fresh in my life! The glazed blew Dunkin and even Krispy Kreme away! I am also a big Apple Fritter guy, and I used to think Stew Leonard's had the best. That changed this morning when I bit into the Apple Fritter from Glenn Wayne. It was warm, fresh ,and full of flavor! 2 years of coming to this bakery regularly and they still provide 5 star service every time. Their gluten free treats are unparalleled. It's rare to find a specialty gluten free donut and here I can get my beloved boston cream donut in gluten free form. They also have great black and white cookies, mini crumb cakes, and other cookies. We almost always come during happy hour and the treats are all still fresh since they bake throughout the day. read more

WOW! This is my absolute favorite bakery in all of Long Island and that is definitely saying something. I ordered 2 cakes for my son's first birthday. One larger one for party guests and one smaller one for his cake smash. I ordered them a little in advance, and the staff taking my order were so great. I was bouncing around a lot of ideas and unsure completely what I wanted but I had a set theme. They helped me worked through it and helped me pick out the designs I wanted. Literally the top 3 in donuts I've ever had in my lifetime. It's just good quality, good size, and amazing flavor. Whenever I am in Long Island I have to stop here. They are quite affordable, also, and have other yummy goodies like apple turnovers and cakes. I love the the donuts are not overly sweet, and they have inventive flavors like blueberry jam with vanilla glaze, banana cream with chocolate glaze, and red velvet. I am a 60 year old woman and have had many donuts over the course of my life. I was at a meeting and there was a box of donuts and pizza. I have a dietary restriction, so no pizza for me. Oh, did I mention it was about 8 o'clock, so the donuts were a gamble. I picked one that seemed to be a custard filled something. I went back to my seat and listened to the meeting. As things were wrapping up I took a bite of the donut...it was amazing. Not just a good donut kind of amazing. It was fresh! It was sweet but flavorful. Not just fluff with sugar on top. I couldn't place the flavor but whatever it was I wanted my own box full of them. It has been a few months and I still think about that donut....weird I know. So today I find myself with a bit of room in my calendar and will be buying all the things when I get there. I'm posting this before because as I have stated I have tasted the product and knowingly will be preoccupied soon with my box of handpicked donuts of the Gods.
