She came early and set everything up for our candle making party. I have done some candle making before with the birthday girl actually, knew a little already but learned so much from Ciarra. It was so fun smelling all the different fragrances and learning how to blend them, and learning about adding colors / blending colors... Besides being so knowledgable, she is so patient and sweet! I chatted with a super nice salesperson named Andy who had great energy and very pleasant. My husband and I fell in love with a beautiful piece of artwork, but after waiting to hear back about pricing, we learned it had been sold to another customer. I was incredibly disappointed, especially because we were so excited to bring that piece home. Well, I have to say, this story has taken a wonderful turn! After I posted my review, Tyler, the owner of Misty's, personally reached out to me. She took the time to explain what happened, and I learned that the original artwork was being sold on consignment and that they couldn't reach the owner. It wasn't that anyone didn't want to sell the piece to me. The store also has a one-hour hold policy, and another customer was there ready to purchase it. But here's where the story gets really good! Tyler genuinely wanted to make things right. Through her connections, she located **the exact same artwork** and arranged for a framing company she works with to frame it in the same beautiful style as the original. The best part? My artwork will actually be brand new! She even took time out of her day off to coordinate shipping and find a reasonably priced delivery service to get the piece to my home. I am expecting it by November 10th, and I couldn't be more excited! Looking back, I wish I had picked up the phone and spoken with Tyler before becoming a TYPING NINJA on Yelp! Sometimes we are so quick to share our frustrations without giving someone the opportunity to explain or make things right. This experience was a wonderful reminder of that. **Tyler went above and beyond anything I could have expected.** She didn't have to do any of this, but she genuinely cared about my experience and wanted me to be happy. Your art specialist has no talent for doing her job- she's rude and ignorant. If she can't google it she can't and doesn't establish a value to anything. She has no knowledge of art valuation, which allowed me to buy 2 under valued pieces, and prevented me from selling several others. -Stop damaging items entrusted to you for consignment. I saw the movers damage a coffee table, and laughed and said "oh man...oh well." And find a vendor that will AFFORDABLY transport consigned items to sell and when purchased- your relationship with S&D movers is a rip off! $175 hour + a two hour min. $350 just to drop off a consigned item. I emailed you to verify if that was correct, and the unsigned response ignored the question entirely- and asked "Have we approved the items you wish to bring in?" Again- drop the attitude and answer the question. Lastly, your customers are your best consultants- you are becoming a carbon copy of The Estate Sale Company.

I am not sure what is happening at this location, "Palm Desert CA " , but the staff looks extremely unhappy. specifically one gentleman who calls himself the store manager but he is not. I have seen him picking fights with different clients almost every time I go there. I have tried to strike a friendly note with him, trying to calm him down. At one occasion, out loud, he was telling a client that his job is what people call "choose wisely" at the beginning of ones career. Once he was staring down at a client to a point where the lady started yelling " Are you staring me down? may I talk to your manager?" With a great attitude, he responded, "you are talking to him." Long story short, last time I was there I was doing heavy shopping for a 85 year-old woman. Nothing big knickknacks and kitchen items and Home Staples. I was doing a small project for her here at the desert. she has various ailments and I had to be careful choosing the right products for her, which is light enough and easy to operate. Thus it took me over two hours in the store to do selection of various items.. I think that had raised a red flag with the staff. I was treated so poorly there. I had over five workers approaching me and asking " can we help you with something? it seems you've been here for a long time . Every time I would respond, yes I am buying for a client. I need to make the right selections for to clients situation. Sorry this takes time. I do understand store security is important and shrinkage is a problem, but not everybody is a thief . I do believe I dress up nicely and present present not like a bum, so not sure what the issue was ? At the end, yes, the same man approached me aggressively with the same question. May we hrlp you? You have been here for a long time . I broke out in anger, saying "is there a problem sir? " I'm buying over $800 worth of products here. Nevertheless, I was followed by him until I went to the checkpoint and paid for the products and left the building. Funny enough, he knows me from previous purchases from him, which always has been over five to $600. I tried to make a complaint to their head offices. I got a email saying that my concern has been sent to the store manager Jennifer Martinez and she will get back with me shortly . This was a month ago and no one did. again, it's a pity. I love the store and most probably I will be shopping at their other locations, but this one definitely has some major staff issues . I will not be returning there.
