Dylan, Jose, and Torres electrical did a WONDERFUL job on our living room wall and niche project. They are a terrific team and leaned into the project as if it were their own home. Dylan helped with the original design, and worked with me to execute our vision. I ordered the wood slat wall material, but Jose performed his magic (he is a master carpenter) and helped install the wood slat material around the fireplace--not an easy task. Jose was thoughtful and meticulous. Dylan's cabinet team and Jose are the best. They built and installed the walnut floating shelves and double door walnut cabinet, as requested, and it is furniture-grade and stunning. The Torres electrical team finished the job with LED up/down lighting and the final product is amazing. What a show piece. Dylan and his QC team were awesome during our renovation. We completed a full renovation of the interior including areas like living spaces, kitchen, primary bath, and laundry space, and they have also begun to help us with the exterior spaces as well. The ideation, planning, execution, completion, and payment were super easy. Dylan and his team had a tremendous attention to details, and the craftmanship was terrific. Dylan and his team were great! What started as a kitchen remodel (which was great), it ended with so much more being done. This is because we felt that they would do a great job on our total home remodel. All the workers were really nice and wanting to do a great job as they worked. And they were great with offering ideas that we incorporated into some of our designs. They did floors, doors, windows, walls, plumbing, electrical, just about everything. I also apprecated the cleanliness that they always left for us, which was important as we were living in the house at the same time as the work being done. Once Covid was here, Dylan's team was always in masks, and were able to wall off the area they were working in. Will use them again with a few more things we want to do next year! read more

We hired Quality Carpentry to completely gut a 1970's condo, creating a more modern interior. Dylan was creative in the planning phase to help us come up with good design solutions that met our aesthetic and functional needs. We also made some structural changes and Dylan quickly brought in an architect and structural engineer to help us complete the required plans for the city. We're in an HOA and have attached neighbors and his team was very conscientious. I'm pretty picky and I consider their work high quality. Dylan is an honest, trustworthy person and was transparent with change order costs along the way. Communication was good throughout the process and if work needed fixed he fixed it. I had a kitchen totally redone; cabinets, flooring, ceiling, and including new lighting. DYLAN DOUGHERTY AND QUALITY CARPENTRY Dylan Dougherty, owner of Quality Carpentry wasted a lot of my time and money. He turned a six month job into an eighteen month job. Several months into my job, Dylan stopped work to begin other jobs, collecting payments from other customers, and leaving my uninhabitable house reduced to studs. Dylan promised that he would return in two weeks. Nonetheless, he disappeared for three months, ignoring my calls, texts and emails. When Dylan finally resumed my job, he delivered "B" quality work. Dylan failed to supervise his subcontractors. Several times one subcontractor damaged a prior subcontractor's work. Rather than taking responsibility, Dylan tried to charge me to fix damage caused by his workers, beyond our agreed contract price and without signed change orders. The job site was disorganized and dirty. Dylan's accounting was so inaccurate that he thought I owed him $40,000.00 more than I did. After he repeatedly insisted that I pay him this amount, we met and I showed him his accounting error. His response was to walk off my unfinished job in a huff, saying: " You only owe me $2,500 and it will cost me $5,000 to finish your job, so I'm out". I had already paid Dylan several hundred thousand dollars, each payment as he had requested. Dylan refused to return my Job Inspection Card unless I released him from responsibility to finish my job. Without the benefit of my own paperwork, I had to fix a roof permit Dylan failed to finalize and allowed to expire. I met Dylan and his crews at Quality Carpentry through Flooring Innovations in Palm Desert. Quality Carpentry was the general contractor, performing everything from arranging for the building code permit inspections needed, to the entire remodels of my kitchen and three bathrooms. From demolition to the finished product, his crews were prompt, professional, skilled, keen-eyed, and they were great problem solvers in working with my 45-year-old condo and its various idiosyncrasies. A shout out to Tom and Jose for their excellent cabinetry and hardware installation. Quality Carpentry subcontracted out for the plumbing, electrical, and drywall, and all of the companies were fabulous in their work. I also had my popcorn ceiling removed, my walls and ceiling painted, and new light fixtures and switches replaced throughout the condo.
