The dark stain was wearing off in spots and they were just starting to bug me in general. Rich came out right away to take measurements and discuss their product and options. Originally was given a start date of 3-4 weeks out but then they asked if they could start early due to delays in other projects not being ready for them. Jesse did the refacing work at the house. He was amazingly conscientious masking off the kitchen and laying down floor protectors. The actual work took 5 days between the kitchen and master bath. He gave me solutions when other contractors told me to figure out an alternative (e.g. two previous contractors told me to buy a certain type of vanity based on the location of a pipe and John opened the wall and said, "Nope, I can move or reroute the pipe, there isn't any electrical or anything in the way that prevents it"). I have a handful of examples like that, and it made me realize that the others just wanted to do everything the easy way. He also found a potentially catastrophic problem under one of the showers that had previously been missed. On top of that, I really appreciated that he has an eye for little details - paint touch-ups, visual alignment, etc. Highly recommend.

Custom cabinetry is not for the faint of heart. From the moment we called Alvaro - we felt we were…read morein the best of hands. We had researched very carefully, and talked to several businesses. Alvaro's tone, direct communication, and responsiveness, in combination with all the great reviews, made it an easy decision, Then, we met with his designer Marc at our home. We lacked kitchen storage and wanted more, and a coffee bar. We wanted to replace a granite topped breakfront with a wood top. Additionally, we needed a sizable bookcase for our office. Marc's got a great eye and even better ears - instead of choosing a trend or dictating what he thought, he carefully listened to our wants and goal of how we wanted the new elements to compliment, but not necessarily match, the existing decor. He understood our space and really guided us to a terrific design. The process was un-rushed and very collaborative. We went back and forth first with sketches, that then became photo-shopped realizations of the furniture in the room, and ultimately he presented architectural drawings that we then signed off on before construction. This is a family business that prides themselves on the craft of their product. Alvaro, his dad (a true master carpenter) and his brother did the construction and installation. They were thoughtful and as they installed and assembled, some things became apparent that we had not considered. It was all addressed with expertise and professionalism, wrapped in a true desire to make the best possible cabinetry for our home. Once done, their retoucher addressed every shadow of imperfection on site. Their finisher addressed the walls and outlets that were damaged by the removal of the granite and the changing of some electrical (which they also oversaw). You can not see a shadow of indication that what they created and installed, has not been there all along. I highly recommend Elites - we will be working with them again as well.

Working with Son Cabinetry on my kitchen has been a fantastic experience. I previously worked for a…read morehigh end cabinetry company in the Bay Area so my expectations are quite high. I was very specific on some unusual custom details such as flush routed tab pulls, floating shelves, recessed lighting, specific counter profiles, etc, and Son's 100% delivered. I worked with a skilled designer at Son's who knew to ask all the right questions, make recommendations; was extremely detail oriented and ensured that my kitchen was delivered correctly. The quality of my cabinetry is superb, beautifully grain-matched walnut. Tom installed my kitchen and is the type of installer who takes personal pride in his craftsmanship. -No corners were ever cut, and the details of my kitchen are sharp. I truly couldn't be happier with the finished product. The outcome is a high-end custom kitchen when in fact the cost, including counter tops was quite reasonable. Matt managed this project from the start. I appreciate a owner of a company who is as personally involved in all his projects as Matt is. His communication with me throughout the job was second to none. He always kept me in the loop of the daily process. He provided me with contractors who all did fantastic electrical, plumbing and drywall work preparing for the cabinetry install. The cost that Matt originally quoted, was exactly what I paid and there were never any up-charges or other costly surprises. Having a new kitchen installed may be one of the more disruptive and stressful projects that you can do to your home especially if you live in the home during the project, but it is far less painful when you work with a group who personally take pride in their workmanship and work tirelessly to limit the disruption. I am grateful I worked with such a great team at Son's for my project. I am now looking forward to my bathroom remodels!

When we made changes in the middle of the project, they not only rolled with it, but suggested how the changes could be even better. The best part, though, was this: I watched them work. I watched them measure and measure and measure again until each element was perfect. While they worked quickly, they were not in any hurry. It seemed more important to be good than be fast.
