Stephanie and Lydia, co-owners, were manning the front and kitchen areas of this intimate wine and tapas bar. They're both excellent hosts, very friendly, and love to discuss their love of food and wine. It's not a huge place, with intimate indoor and sidewalk seating areas. On street parking is limited, but there are two parking lots behind the building, off the alley to the east. One lot is covered and has a handicap spot; the other lot is open. WINE: The current wine menu (see my picture) has a good selection of Latin inspired wines from Latino winemakers in Mexico, South America (Chile and Argentina), and the US. The wine list changes and as they continue to grow, they'll be adding more selections and countries/regions. Wines are sold by the glass and bottle. If you ask, they'll pour you a taste before you order to see if you're going to like that wine or not. My "Open Bottle Red Tasting Flight" was just $15 for three generous pours of Pinot Noir, Carménère, and Malbec. Glasses range from $11 - $15...very reasonable. FOOD: They offer "Bites, Boards & Platos Fuertes", which are tapas style and shareable plates that pair with your wine selection. We shared a couple of orders of the Empanadas ($15 for 3), which were baked perfectly. We tried the Beef, Chorizo & Queso, and Queso & Membrillo (Spanish cheese with quince paste...great as dessert). We also tried the Brie con Miel ($14) and the Puerto Rican Picadillo ($16) served with rice. Everything has great flavors and is quite delicious! Overall, this is a vibrant, fun little wine bar with great service, food, and vino. We're glad that they're here in the neighborhood and I can't recommend them highly enough.

The gracious hosts taught us the proper way of tasting wines. Delicious bites were paired with these wines. The lounge is quite small but there's beautiful inside seating as well as comfortable patio seating. A live band serenaded us while we were enjoying our meal and wines. Bands actually perform on select nights so call the place for inquiries. Wine tasting and paired bites are priced at a low price of only $25. Check their website to check upcoming events and booked asap because they tend to sell out fast. That's how popular this lounge and their wine tasting events are.

"WE LOVE US SOME SEAFOOD" I moved out to L.A., CA, In 1965, now living in Glendora, CA., and I've been wanting some great eastern style seafoods since. We took the wife and our two grown daughters to lunch yesterday for Mother's Day, at the Clubhouse 66, on Root 66, Glendora, CA and enjoyed every minute. OUR EXPERIENCE: Food - Service - Ambience; GREAT... - You enter the establishment. - State your reservation. And the waiters are standing in their black suites, upscale like, as your party is guided to its table. Two of our party(family members) arrived a few minutes after us. While we were settling in, the waiter asked if we were ready for drinks, my daughter said, "Oh, we're waiting for my sister and niece to arrive, they're almost here." The waiter said, "Oh, that's no problem, we can get you started until she arrives." Very polite and catering. So my daughter gave their meal order while they were on the phone. Anyway, when it was my turn to order, I ordered one of the Signature Plates: PISTACHIO CRUSTED SALMON: (Pan-seared salmon with sautéed vegetables in garlic and white wine, served over mushroom risotto and finished with a beurre blanc sauce.(even had a couple of artichokes cut up). The skin was real crusty and meat tender and flavored. ($29.99) Oh, Magnifico... For the life of me- I have NEVER had a Salmon dish that Magnifico in any restaurant in ALL my world travels. And let me just say that; I've traveled to Eighteen(18) different countries; including & throughout the U.S. My mouth waters just thinking of it. I also tasted my wife's, CHICKEN LINGUINE- (Grilled chicken with artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes, and a creamy sun-dried tomato pesto sauce.) It was just as delicious. Oh and; without a doubt without hesitation, if you want to go out for a great meal, you can't lose going to Clubhouse 66 in Glendora. And I have to admit at first, when reading the menu, I was thinking the prices were kinda high, until the meals arrived and slid by my taste buds. It's definitely worth it, and i highly recommend Clubhouse 66. DEFINITELY 5 STARS... HECK, I'd give 10 STARS if it were availaLord, I'm from Boston, MA. born and raised.
