This place doesn't even deserve one star. It is overcharging for everything. I went there for epidural on the back which is literally a few minutes procedure, and this place billed my insurance for $7000, and I ended up with $1300 for just being there. Even the doctor who did the procedure charged only $500 and I ended up paying $100. Ridiculous. If you can avoid this place please do so. read more

Possibly the ninth time I have been there since 2020. The staff are top notch, friendly and respectful. The OSS doctors there some of the best in the business. I have had only good experiences there via knee and joint replacement surgeries as well as pain management epidurals. Can only say good and positive things via the Glendale Surgery Center and those that work there. read more

I have been to the Glendale Surgical Center probably 6 times in the past 3 years. The staff is super friendly and I feel that they really do have my best health in mind. Due to cutting my own hand in an accident, my surgery was scheduled for this surgery center and the entire process was really very efficient with no hiccups whether that be booking an appointment, getting insurance authorization, day of surgery expertise and all the follow up calls to see how I was doing was really great all across-the-board. The day of surgery really couldn't have been any simpler from a patient standpoint of view, and the staff were all very very pleasant, as well as m, professional and skilled. I had a great experience at GSC! 7-15-20 Everyone, from the front desk to the last nurse that wheeled me out (Jeremy), were very nice. Pleasant! Two days before my procedure I got a call from nurse Christine (sorry if I misspelled your name) and she went over everything and answered all my questions/concerns. She was great! I got to meet her in person right before I went in the OR. Arrived at 5:40am. Checked in at the front desk. Girl at the front desk was nice (sorry didn't get your name). Sharon was the first nurse that I met and that took care of me when I first arrived. She was super nice and asked pre-op questions, went over everything, took my BP, hooked my IV up, etc. great conversation, made me feel very comfortable and put me at ease. Dr Levine came in shortly after to discuss my procedure (left foot bone shave/cut). He's great! From the first time I met him I knew he was the one I wanted to do my surgery. Very good bed side manner. Good gut feeling about him :-) I then met my anesthesiologist (Dr Beck - sorry if I misspelled your name). He too was nice. Then nurse Jessica took me back to the OR...she was nice as well! The OR was very pretty, clean, bright white, good music playing, good vibes! Before I knew it I was out and in recovery. Procedure started about 6:30am and I was home by 8:30am. Pretty awesome! Didn't expect that :-) Overall great clean facility and very nice staff. Made me feel less nervous and anxious. My podiatrist uses this surgical center. I have had 3 surgeries here. The front desk has the your info and it is easy to check in. The nurses are fantastic. Both the pre op/ post op rm is clean. All the operating rooms are clean and well equipped. Even though I received excellent care, the reason I only gave them 3 stars instead 5 is because I over paid for one surgery. I didn't know until I got my EOB from Blue Shield. I don't know why they ask for payment up front and then they don't notify you that their estimate was wrong. It took over 6 months to get $60+ back. read more

The bookkeeping here is suspect. I prepaid my out of pocket the day of my procedure. I worked this out with Glendale Endoscopy before my colonoscopy so that I wouldn't be surprised later. Glendale Endoscopy did not apply my payment to my operation. They seemed to have pocketed the money. It took them a year to submit my procedure costs to my insurance. See the attached bill. It shows the procedure date of April 14, 2011, and the insurance submission date of March 29, 2012. They then billed me $247 for out of pocket costs. I responded saying I paid $300 for the out-of-pocket costs on the day of the procedure. And that they owed me $53. Their response was to say that the $300 was the "Doctor's fee". I had no invoice for an additional Doctor's fee. There was nothing on this billing to show this fee. There was never any mention of an additional Doctor's fee when working out my out of pocket costs. So I responded again with that information, and that I wasn't going to pay the $247. That I already paid $300. Glendale Endoscopy/Digestive Health Consultants kept billing for the $247. They would not admit their bookkeeping error. Glendale Endoscopy then sent the $247 to Tec-co Sysems, Inc. a collection agency at 18034 Ventura Blvd. #210 in Encino, CA. The Tec-co collections agent said that if I paid by a certain date the issue would not go onto my credit report. Because I have excellent credit I decided to just pay by that date so that my credit wouldn't suffer. Well, in doing my taxes, and checking my credit report, I saw this issue on my credit report. It's my only mark. And it's not my fault. I am currently disputing this with the credit reporting agency. I decided to air the issue here too. So instead of improving my health, Glendale Endoscopy has done nothing but made it worse through all the stress they've caused. Who get's away with billing a year later? And then double billing? And then being predatory about their billing mistakes? Digestive Health Consultants (DHC) is Glendale Endoscopy. The billing is from DHC. My doctor was Dr. David Schulman. (OK, he did a good job, that's not the issue here.) He is part of Digestive Health Consultants too. Never again. Come to think about it, maybe I need to see a lawyer about this issue. read more

I think it says something that I haven't written a Yelp review in ages and I felt compelled to review this of all places. I was nervous about my flexible sigmoidoscopy and miserable from the required preparatory procedures but the people here made the whole experience as pleasant as such a thing could possibly be. How did they manage to do this? 1) When I called the day before with insurance-related questions, I got thorough, patient, straight answers about my options and felt that everything that could possibly be done to reduce my costs was being done. 2) I interacted with at least six different staff members and they were all patient, professional, and kind. They waited patiently while I arranged for a ride home after unexpectedly choosing to be sedated, brought me ice water to drink after my procedure, offered me cereal bars and my choice of fancy teas, and wrapped me in blankets when I was cold. 3) They explained my results, next steps, and aftercare clearly and will be following up with me tomorrow. 4) Heated blankets. HEATED BLANKETS. Like, just-out-of-the-dryer warm! My interactions with the medical industry have gotten to the point that I rarely expect to be treated with basic human dignity. When an organization that almost literally has you by the colon actually cares enough to give you better treatment than you'll find in some first class airline cabins (let's not go into what this says about commercial aviation), it is just incredible. I don't know how much control folks have over where they're sent for diagnostic testing, but if they're anywhere near Glendale and can swing it, they should go here. read more

I had surgery this morning and I just wanted to say that the staff was AMAZING. I felt like I was being taken care of by a team of my closest friends when I just met them all. Ha! They were very loving and kind from receptionist, nurses, anesthesiologist, to my surgeon ( Stephan Yocoubian), all the way till I left. I felt safe and very cared for. I had an endoscopy performed here. The staff was great, very attentive and funny! I am very needle phobic so when my prep nurse didn't get the IV in the first time she remained calm and calmed me down. Then she used a baby catheter with no problem. They gave me a nice warm blanket and did not treat me like a number. The facility itself is very clean, organized and runs smoothly. I didn't have to wait a long time to get started which makes a difference especially when you are nervous and want to get it done. I liked how they also call you and advise you on the costs before hand so it's clear. Even though the center is out of my network, they honored it as in-network because the Dr. I had was in my network. I loved this place and would have future procedures done here again. Amazing staff! Right from the first pre-op calls to my recovery, I was warmly cared for. I had a tonsillectomy and Septoplasty preformed by Dr. Bublik on October 7th. He is a great doctor and has a great staff at his own office. The front desk was kind, explained everything clearly to me. The prep nurse, the anesthesiologist, the surgery nurse & orderly were hysterical and calming. You can tell these people enjoy working together and what they do for a living. My surgery went well and I woke up to an amazing nurse, Leslie. She too had a great sense of humor and was incredibly "motherly" but not overwhelming while caring for me. She watched my pain levels, gave me ice and explained recovery to me. She was stoked to see my Sons of Anarchy shirt and we had a whole convo about the show. She even joked that my husband looks like Opie with his beard! She asked to see pics of my kids and then proceeded to pack them both silver hats (used on patients during surgery) so they could have something fun. She joked about taking me out the celebrity exit with my sunglasses & nose bandage for the full Los Angeles surgery experience! Besides having my babies, this was the best medical experience I've ever had. read more

When Dr. Bublik advised me that I would need surgery to close the whole on my Basal Cell Carcinoma wound I, quite characteristically, panicked. You see, doctors terrify me, and anything that looks like a hospital scares the bejeesus out of me. Not to worry, the doctor promised, you'll be fine. So, at 5 in the morning, I arrived - not sure that fine was exactly what I would be. And, to be honest, for the next several hours, I wasn't fine. I was as nervous as a long-tail cat in a room full of rockers - despite how warm and wonderful and comforting the incredible staff was. I shivered, I shook, I cried, I whimpered...I did everything a whiny little baby does. Unfazed, the nursing staff, the anesthesiology staff, Dr. Bublik - everyone involved continued to calm me, continued to comfort me, continued to promise that it would all be alright....and, sure enough, everything was alright. Once they knocked me out, it seemed to take just moments before I was waking-up to the smiles of staff and the realization that it was all over and, blissfully, everything really was alright. Now, I could get into the whole professionalism aspect of the facility (which it is...professional, I mean;) I could share how nice the waiting room is, or how clean the surgery center and the equipment is kept or how convenient it is or how reasonably priced it is, compared to a hospital facility...I could share all of that - but that's not what made the difference for me. What made the difference for me is that this whiny baby was coddled and cared for and, because of that, actually managed to get through a procedure that I was dreading and a process that I hope never to have to experience again. Because as wonderful as the Center is, I'd be just as happy never to see those beautiful, smiling faces again.... I had foot surgery at Glendale Surgical Center on November 8, 2016 with Dr. Mark Mikhael. I had a great experience here! The day of my surgery, the receptionist had everything ready so I didn't do anything except relax before my surgery. Everything was organized. The nurses were comforting, thoughtful, and very attentive. Surgery centers and hospitals are always kept so cold by necessity so I appreciated all the heated blankets they brought me.
