Glen is fantastic at what he does. We're buying a new construction home and he did both our pre-drywall inspection and our final inspection. He surfaced so many things that we would have otherwise missed. He was also incredibly helpful when we were halfway through the interior build and had a plumbing leak. We didn't know what to ask for specifically from the builder but Glen offered his expertise to help us get a resolution in place. Glen is direct and to the point and takes his time to look at all the details, structural and cosmetic. As a buyer for a new construction, my husband and I were encouraged to hire an inspector prior to drywall to ensure that everything (plumbing, electrical and framing) was done according to code. We hired Glen Davis to do this at that time. He found several items that needed to be corrected and we were able to inform the builder so that they could be remedied before the walls were closed up. We then hired Glen again to perform the Final Inspection before close to give us an extra set of eyes. He found several items that we did not catch during the walk through. This enabled us to once again have the builder fix the items before we closed on the house. Recently for our one year inspection, Glen came again. He walked through and found several items that need to remedied, due to settling. These were things that we were unaware or did not know how to explain it to the builder. He even gave us tips on how to record date and timed photographs. Glen is very personable, professional and his reports are thorough and easy to understand with pictures of everything that has issues. He makes himself available to his clients so that you have an understanding of the report and can notify the builder. He is definitely someone you need to point out to the builder mistakes before they become major issues. read more

I asked this guy to do inspection to my house he talked down to me and he have no idea about how many SQFT cover by 1 HVAC tonnage. Also to get a quote i have to answer his weird E-mail with a lot of questions like who is the builder !!!!!!! if i have spouse or not, lol I do not recommend this inspector read more

We had an excellent experience with Glen. He did both our pre-drywall and our final inspection. He is extreme thorough, efficient and knowledgeable. Our builder had a few delays and he was very patient with us while still professional. He obviously knows a lot about construction and homes. He gave us little tips and tricks on top of the official inspection report. The turn around time for his reports was fantastic too - he he inspected our house at 2pm and had the detailed report to us by that evening. His report is organized and detailed so that even for very specific building things that I'm not familiar with, I was still able to go back and understand what he had seen and what the fix needed to be. This guy is such a tool. He will do a decent inspection but so will anybody with experience. He will charge you likely too much (not the biggest complaint). Im willing to pay for great service. This isn't great. He will also promise that if you use him again you'll get a discount (you won't). He's a mediocre inspector at best. We utilized him and I regret it. We paid in full for two service and via his preferred method (PayPal) which I found out later her charges you hidden fees to use. These come on top of PayPal's. Well, shortly after the second inspection was completed, he was paid timely and we closed on our home... I had the displeasure of exorbitant fraud in my PayPal account. I started a claim and one of the chargebacks was mistakenly the last payment to Glen. No big deal, I'll pay via check. Check was mailed out and while it's in flight super professional mediocre home inspector Glen here starts threatening my fiancé and I via email will collections. Why don't you call some first, or maybe be understanding that I'm not USPS. If you have an issue and you haven't received the follow-up payment which included (by the way...) your same hidden fees for using PayPal, then be a man and a professional and call me. Don't hide behind your keyboard little warrior. Hands down unprofessional and over-priced run-of-the-mill inspector. Look elsewhere. read more

Last week Glen came out to do a new construction phase inspection (pre-drywall) for one of my clients. This home was in Dripping Springs, but he works all over Austin. Glen was incredibly thorough, and took more photos to document the issues than any inspector I've worked with before. He explained his report and answered our questions with patience and detail.
