These guys are solid. For $35 I got a heaping wheelbarrow of mixed wood. Then when they loaded it into my trunk they just added to it until my trunk was full. Gave me a giant full-cut log to use as a base to chop wood for an extra $5. The wood was a nice mix, a little heavy on the knotted logs, which were pretty much impossible to chop down smaller (using the wood in my solostove). It was also on the damp side, so I'm guessing it had been out in the recent rain. I wouldn't hesitate to return though. It was a pretty good deal and super convenient. Nice guys working there. I placed an order for a quarter cord of red oak to be delivered and stacked for Saturday between 1-5pm. Around 4:30pm, on Saturday. I called the office to check on the status and was told it had been delivered. I asked to check the address because it had not been delivered. After the office called their staff to inquire whereabouts of the delivery, I was told it was not delivered and the staff was unreachable. There solution was to deliver on Monday not giving any thought that I had to cancel my event entirely. read more

Glatts used to be my favorite place to go for firewood, however, it seems the attitude is changed, and the prices have gone up to $40 a barrel. They're only open on Saturdays now the quality and type of what you get has also dropped. Super friendly staff (the one guy that was working). Charged about $10 for half a wheelbarrow of firewood. The firewood is kept really dry and will light up pretty easily for you. A pretty decent deal compared to buying wood at the supermarket for camping or bonfires. About 30 logs for $10. Google says they're open all day Friday. I call to make sure and they say they're closed Fridays. I tell the lady on the phone that Google lists it as open so they might want to change it (which is easy to do) and she doesn't apologize or even acknowledge and just says "Well we're closed, we're open tomorrow" and starts to hang up on me. I called and ordered a 1/2 cord of mixed firewood. The price was okay compared to other place, but the delivery charge a little steep. They couldn't schedule a delivery any earlier than four days after I made the request, and wouldn't commit to a delivery window more specific than "between 1 and 5." I arranged to work from home on the day - but they didn't show up. They didn't call to say they wouldn't be making the delivery. I called the number again and got a voice saying "Dial the area code and phone number" without any other instructions, and couldn't leave a message. The email on their website bounced back - so I never got my firewood, wasn't notified, and don't have any way to resolve the problem. But hey, they were pretty friendly on the phone when they could be bothered to pick up or ...you know, communicate. read more

This place is horrible. They gave me a 4 hour window for delivery. At the end of the 4 hours, they had not arrived and I hadn't received any phone calls. I called, and it took them 10 minutes to find my order. Then they said they were REALLY behind, and couldn't even tell me when they would be there. I couldn't wait any longer so I cancelled my order. Wow!!! These people are terrible. Do not! I repeat do not buy your wood from them. I ordered a week ago and they just canceled my order the day before delivery. They were so rude! They have pletary of business and don't need more. If I were the owner I would fire the lady on the phone so fast her head would spin. I've ordered from Glatts / All Seasons (they are the same company) two out of the last three years. In both instances they delivered far less than the amount I ordered. Each time I called them out and each time they eventually made it right (with varying levels of fuss). As an aside, the wood this year wasn't very dry. My experience with their office staff has been mixed: the weekend guy was unhelpful, the weekday ladies were helpful, and the drivers have all been good and stack well. Ultimately I just can't get behind companies that literally consistently under deliver. You wouldn't be too happy with the grocery store if each gallon of milk you bought was partially empty and you shouldn't tolerate it from firewood companies either. So, I suppose this review is a cautionary tale. Whichever firewood company you use please know your delivery size and hold them accountable. read more

I picked up a truckload off wood for my fireplace, only to find out that this would have not been seasoned, and wouldn't be ready for about seven months. I ultimately ended up purchasing the same amount of wood from another supplier in Pasadena.Hopefully my purchase from Glatts will be ready by next winter. read more

Awful. After several bad experiences with these clowns, I can safely say I will never do business with them again. Nor will I allow firewood gifts to be bought and delivered through them. We order a half cord at least once a year, usually for my husband's birthday. This year my MIL ordered it back in October or November to be delivered around my husband's birthday in December. Allegedly, they called to "confirm" last week and apparently didn't hear back (probably because they called my in-laws who were out of the country instead of us, to arrange delivery) fast forward to my husband's birthday when a surly woman screamed at my husband for not conforming to the appointment which was never made. She also claimed that the order was placed that day, which wasn't true at all. She then proceeded to tell us she couldn't deliver it at all and we were "welcome" to come pick it all up. Ummm. No. Delivery and stacking is what you pay for. I don't want to schlepp my own wood when we've paid for delivery. I ended up going to the grocery store to buy wood to light a fire on my husband's birthday, at night, in the rain (annoying). And last year we got a short order which was so wet that it filled the house with smoke several times and would hiss like it was formerly stored in a water tank. They just leave the wood out in the rain and don't even cover it either. Some of it was so termite eaten that it was as light as driftwood also. These experiences, along with the year when they refused to deliver, again, and I got stuck hauling my own wood, means Glatt's can forget ever getting our business again. I bought a half a wheelbarrow of mixed hardwood and pine for the low price of $14! I've learned my lesson never to waste my money on the boxed pine firewood you buy in the supermarkets. If you need fireplace wood for winter, I suggest you place your order sometime in the summer or early fall. Our order was placed late December and it still hasn't arrived. When I called about it last week I was told by some lady that all orders were two weeks out but she said she's put me at the front of the list. A week later and still nothing. When I called today I was told ALL ORDERS were on hold and that if I wanted anyt wood delivered today it would be green. I'm sure by the time they get enough dry wood, winter will be over. Fantastic experience. Called and placed an order for ¼-cord of pine, delivered. Call took less than a minute to complete the order and schedule a delivery date. Morning of the delivery, I got a call from the guys saying they were on their way...20 minutes later, they showed up. scheduled delivery was saturday between 1 and 5 pm, they called at 5pm to reschedule for sunday at 1pm. they woke me up at 8.30 am on sunday knocking at my door. when I called them on monday to complain they didn't even say sorry, they just didn't care. when I spend $600 I expect better customer service. also, the wood is hissing. I bought a wheelbarrow from them to try it and it seemed well seasoned, it was not hissing, but the one they brought is hissing, which quite probably means it's not well seasoned. there are other companies and I suggest you call them up instead. UPDATE: they agreed they'd exchange the wet, hissing and smoky oak and scheduled for sat 1-5pm. sat they called to reschedule for sunday 1-5pm. nobody showed up. I called and they said they'd call back. nobody did. I called again they said they didn't have any dry oak. so they knowingly sold me wet oak. I didn't want to deal with them anymore so I kept the wood for the next year, and got $50 back from them in exchange for not trying to get them to take it all back. when I complained they woke me up at 8.30 am they laughed on the phone. they are like movie-bad. Honestly I made a Yelp account just to give these guys a bad review. I've never felt so compelled to speak out by bad service before. This is coming from someone who works in a customer service field and generally is extremely sympathetic to people in that line of work. That being said, after calling this morning ahead of time to discuss prices and showing up three hours after opening time to pick up a load of firewood, these guys were totally unprepared to service my needs. Upon arriving, I noticed that the main entrance was still double bolted and locked as if the establishment was not yet open. After calling four times in a row with no answer (meanwhile I was taking note of the extremely audible alarm on the premises that is apparently triggered whenever there is a caller), a store employee finally answered on my fifth call and told me in a surly tone that she "would be out in just a minute." Needless to say, after waiting twenty minutes and calling another time, the employee in question never showed up and I made the decision to take my business elsewhere. In short, if you don't want picking up firewood to turn into a day-long errand then I recommend finding an alternative. read more

Ordered firewood from Glatts on December 7th. Was delivered on December 10th and stacked by their delivery employee. Cord was considerably short. They said they would deliver the rest the next day. That didn't happen. I contacted them on December 12. The were very apologetic and said that they were busy and they would get back to me. This place is absolutely ridiculous. I went to the location on Saturday May 12th to find some wood to get cut into 1 1/2 inch thick flats for the centerpieces for my wedding. A man by the name of Scott told my fiancé and I to select the wood we liked and to mark on them and he would kindly set them aside for us. The owner Leo wasn't available to give us a quote so we were told to call Monday morning. No problem. We selected our wood. Marked them that we needed 7 of each and how thick. Scott puts them aside for us. Monday rolls around and I called. I was told Leo wasn't in that day and to call back on Tuesday. So, I called back on Tuesday. A different person answered and I got the same answer. Leo isn't in. I asked if there was any one else that could please give me a quote. I was told Leo was the only one and to call back Wednesday. I called Wednesday and yet a different person answered. This time this lady sounded annoyed because I got frustrated when she told me Leo wasn't going to be in today. She took my name and number down. I never heard back. Thursday I call back and still no Leo. The man that answered the call Thursday took my name and number yet again and ensured that Leo would call me. Did he? No! Today, Friday I call once more. And still no Leo. I told the man on the phone that they clearly didn't need my business and that I was extremely upset that I wasted a whole week of trying to get a quote from the owner Leo. At this point I'm not even sure if Leo even exists! I will be taking my business elsewhere and I highly recommend you do as well. The only person that helped this whole time was the nice guy on Saturday by the name of Scott. So thank you Scott for being a hard worker and having great customer service. Yesterday I ordered five cords of mixed firewood and at 8:00am today the first load arrived and was stacked. They left and returned within two hours with the second load and continued stacking.
