They needed to reschedule to a later time that day and ended up coming even later for the reschedule but the deliverer was professional and nice when he got here. He moved and stacked all the woods I needed to my shed. I ordered 1/4 cord worth. All the wood seems quality, I got all white oak. I've purchased firewood from Royal a few times for my father. Today I bought a 1/2 cord for myself. I checked prices for 3 other sellers and Royal was cheapest. But I really like that they don't charge for delivery and they stack it at no charge! Wow! I normally order by phone speaking with the very nice Jennifer but this time I went to the yard because I wanted to make sure they could deliver and stack it about 100' from the street. That's a long walk. No problem Victor the owner assured me. Very kind young man. He wrote me up, I paid and a few minutes later Jennifer called to schedule delivery. Jose arrived on time and worked very hard for an hour hauling and stacking. Excellent job. I made sure to give him a nice tip. We enjoyed chatting as he worked. Don't hesitate to order. A mistake was made on my delivery of a cord of wood. When I realized the mistake I called and explained the problem. The next day the problem was resolved. Also, the delivery person was prompt and very polite. I highly recommend Royal FW! read more

Update: I am very happy to report that after contacting the office they agreed to send someone out to add wood to make up for the shortage. They just left and added more than enough to make for a full 1/4 cord of white oak. While I'm not thrilled that it wasn't done right the first time, I am impressed that they immediately made it right without any hassle. I will give them my business again, but just remember to trust, but verify. Original Post: 2 stars. Very disappointed that I got shorted on my 1/4 cord, advertised as 2x4x4 (=32 ft) and I got 1.5 x 3 x 5 = (22.5ft) which is 30% less than I paid for. I was looking for a wood supplier closer to me when I found these guys. I ordered a quarter cord of red oak on a Friday afternoon, it was delivered and stacked by the driver early Monday morning. The service these guys provide is first rate, the wood they delivered is very good quality cooking wood. I smoked some briskets and some pork ribs with their wood which burned very clean lending a great taste for my bbq. I will definitely be ordering plenty of wood from them in the future. read more

UPDATE... The owner did call me back and also followed up after this review. He went above and beyond to make it right. Things happen and they did there part to make it right. This is the 3rd time now i've ordered from Royal firewood, and the last. The wood has never been seasoned, and the last batch was extremely wet inside when I split some for kindling. So much so that you can hear the steam coming out. In addition so much of the wood was caked in mud, it's firewood so you expect it to be dirty, but not muddy. They're so friendly and helpful on the phone and then they set up an appointment and show up right on time and even let you know when they're on their way and how much longer till they get there. Then they un load the truck and stack the wood perfectly in your backyard. And all you have to do is be nice and tip! Jose and Victor are some really friendly gentleman. No complaints what so ever, this will forever be my go-to place for firewood. I found Victor and Royal Firewood through a Yelp search and am so happy Yelp led me here. A little unassuming, you pull in and see the huge pile of firewood stacked up in the back of the business. I talked to a very friendly gentleman and told him what I needed - just some firewood for camping/a bonfire. He recommended a wheel barrel full which was perfect, in fact I actually had some left over! Two gentlemen loaded up the wheel barrel and loaded my car up with the wood, and used caution the entire time. I paid using a credit card and felt great about the whole process. Really easy. This past weekend I used some of the wood while I was camping on the beach. We had a bonfire for at least 3 hours and only used about half of the wood. With that being said, it didn't burn TOO fast and the fire started rip roaring in no time. Truly some great wood supplied by Royal Firewood. They also offer bundles and cords for varying prices in addition to wood to cook with. Bought 1/4 cord of white oak and service was great - some places will just dump the wood into the driveway and charge you extra for moving it and stacking it. Not Royal - they brought all the wood via dolly to my backyard (several trips) and carefully stacked it and even cleaned and swept up after themselves. Price was very reasonable too. Although their prices have gone up like every store in the country, they are still "reasonable" compared to others. They usually have the firewood stacked at my house within 48 hours after my order and are very polite and professional. The wood is always dry and burns well. Wow, I was so happy with the service from this company. They were not the cheapest company out there but were by far the most helpful. They had great delivery options and were the only company out of the five I called who could do a delivery on a week day and give me an exact time they would deliver the wood. When the driver arrived at the property he gave me a call to let me know and even waited an additional five minutes because my client was not home to show him where to deliver.
