Delicious ice cream in a cute shop with lots of arcade games to play. Lots of seating at high and low tables. Their flavors are unique and very well done. In our group we had the matcha, marionberry oat, toasted coconut (dairy free), raspberry rose, marionberry and a vanilla malt milkshake. Everything was so good! I love that you can have two flavors in your single cup as it's so hard to choose! Great stop if you are ever on Vashon! read more

Cute ice cream shop in town! It is such a large space, and connected to a beer/wine/etc? Bar next door so it feels even bigger. I loved the murals on the walls, and they have several arcade games. Lots of seating space. I believe they had 8-10 flavors in the case, and they also had a cooler with pints, chocotaco, ice cream sandos. My wife loved the whiskey ice cream. I enjoyed my Chaco taco and it brought a lot of childhood memories back lol Definitely stop in for your ice cream fix on Vashon! read more

I don't make it to Vashon very often, but when I was here this was a really great stop. I also don't eat ice cream very often, but this was well worth it. The Ice cream was great. I had the Butter Pecan. I really love the decor. The arcade games are a neat extra. This place just exudes fun. The staff were all super pleasant and helpful. Service was really quick too. read more

Small portions were great go my stomach and the taste ( my brother said otherwise) . The retro arcade games are fun and gives the place a more energetic atmosphere. read more

While walking in Vashon Island we walked by this store and had to get ice cream. It's a really cute store with ice cream and games. I got a 2 scoop with Theo Chocolate and Butter Pecan. I loved the ice cream, creamy and delicious. It's a must try while on Vashon. read more

Absolutely perfect ice cream. Locally sourced and they have a tremendous amount of care for the way it's handled and produced. A bit pricey as ice cream goes but absolutely worth it. Better than any of the fancy brands that you can get in a grocery store. I hit them up as regularly as is reasonable. Lots of very unique flavors typical to a house brand that does not use any supply chain crap. The space is also very cool with pinball machines and other nostalgia. read more

What a fun, little time warp back into my childhood! Retro Arcade games (my fave, Galaga!) and sweet treatsYou can get soft serve, regular ice cream, as well as milkshakes here. I love the decor and art work; it's just so whimsical and happy in here always a fun stop when we're on Vashon read more

We've been coming here ever since we moved to the Island. And there's a reason why we keep going back. The staff is always friendly and willing to give samples of any flavor they're scooping. They always have eight flavors (six regular and two dairy free) and the flavors always rotate (except for the toasted coconut, which is the year-round dairy free flavor). They don't have the largest selection of flavors, but the flavors they do have are always good. And their waffle cones are made in-house and are superb. They also offer soft serve (vanilla, chocolate, and swirl), though I can't speak to that because I haven't tried it. read more

The Yelp entry for Glass Bottle Creamery has it listed as temporarily closed however walking past the business this past weekend that was certainly not the case. Since it was open and doing very good business we dove in here to make sure we could try some of ice cream here. It has been about four years since our last trip to Vashon Island and there wasn't really a good excuse not to have gone sooner but I also had plenty of family crisis going on to do much also. The ice cream shop definitely has a retro feel to it and there are arcade games throughout the place and were very popular at the point of us entering the place. They had several different kinds of ice cream where they could serve you three different flavors of soft serve ice cream and then others in a case where they scoop it out for you. They also had ice cream containers to go also. I got the Ginger flavored ice cream while Steve got the Coffee flavored ice cream which both were in the case. The flavors pleasantly noticeable, vibrant and fresh. Especially with my ginger flavor where the ginger chunks in it had an occasional bite of fire but was tempered very nicely with the cream. All in all it was very well balanced. Steve got a coffee flavor. His was just a single scoop like mine but that coffee flavor was enough to knock your socks off. That one should've been one best shared or a smaller scoop as you definitely had to take your time with it. It reminded me of eating a small bag of chocolate espresso beans. I wouldn't word the coffee flavor in the form of a complaint. It said it was coffee flavored and that's what it was and it did that quite successfully. I'd love to try some more of their flavors from the case since I liked the ginger one so much and hopefully my next visit won't be another four years down the road but life sometimes has plans for you you don't expect. At least enjoying ice cream like this adds a pleasant pit stop along the way. read more

Service is friendly enough. They will let you taste-test the flavors. They offer chocolate and vanilla soft serve and have a couple dairy free options, and only about 6 or so ice cream flavors. I was underwhelmed by the quality and flavor of several of the ice creams. The cookie dough and matcha tasted a bit freezer burnt. They had one called Candy Carousel that tasted a bit like fruity pebbles. It was tasty but too sweet for the mood I was in. I opted for the mint chip, my typical go-to flavor, without testing it first. I liked that it wasnt bright and artificially green. I have to say it wasn't bad! It took several bites for my brain to create new pathways to process the flavor. Rather than a classic artificial mint flavor, it tasted like it had ground up natural mint leaves in it. The chocolate chips were small and crunchy. I like when the chocolate melts on your tongue which these did not. However, the pleasant surprise of the natural mint flavor really redeemed this place for me. read more

Came in with a party of 16. All the tables were dirty. Attendant was awkward and did not speak to us or seem to care that we were there. None of the ice cream flavors made cohesive sense, like they didn't go together. Candy cane, butter pecan, chocolate orange, mango, candy corn? None of those go together. The soft serve machine was broken so no chocolate, vanilla, or swirl. The waffle cones were both stale and gummy at the same time, how is that possible? All the ice cream was grainy, as if it had been frozen, melted, and refrozen again. Negative experience overall. Disappointed read more

Interior is loud, bright, super stimulating. It's also an arcade. Service is friendly. Ice cream is rich, smooth and creamy. I tried the caramelized ginger swirl and it was really good, I didn't expect to like it but it had solid notes of tartness and the ginger wasn't overpowering. read more

When you first walk in there's a dairy stench but it's not that bad. The actual ice cream is kind of grainy but still delicious. I got the licorice flavor and it's some of the best ice cream I've had. 7/10 read more

Interested flavors, great service. The inside is spacious, with multiple arcade game machines inside. It's also connected to the Bottle Shop next door. I tried 3 flavors - Milk Tea, Pistachio and Banana Pudding. I wanted a milkshake, so I picked the Milk Tea flavor because I've never had a Milk Tea Milkshake before. If I were to get a scoop, I would have gone with the pistachio. It has a natural pistachio flavor (and no artificial coloring) with a strong honey flavor from the honey swirl. My friend got the Banana Pudding, and she said she usually doesn't like banana-flavored stuff. read more

When in Vashon an ice cream treat is a must - you gotta visit Glass Bottle Creamery for some fun! When I say fun I'm talking about the mini indoor amusement park - how fun is that! Came here for some ice cream/sorbet but unfortunately they got few choices to choose from. I got the apricot sorbet and t'was so creamy and delicious with refreshing light frozen taste. A combination of a tarty sweet flavor. I enjoyed it so much but later that day I got sick with of course - GERD! Msssssh, what a bummer! I should have know better that sorbet is more acidic than a regular ice cream. Bandit got the strawberry ice cream which is equivalently yum as my apricot sorbet while my Tita D got two scoops of vanilla and cardamom peach swirl which is undoubtedly addicting! We all got the treat that we enjoyed and we leave the place happily. Cash only so make sure you got extra cash in your wallet. This place is perfectly design for you and your kids whose throwing out tantrums because of the heat outside (talking about summer days). Mahalo nui for reading and happy juandering fellow yeeps! read more

Always happy to support a local ice cream shop that makes their ice cream in house with locally sourced ingredients. Glass Bottle Creamery was the perfect stop for a mid day treat while in Vashon. The inside is spacious with a lot of seating and games throughout to play. I didn't get the name of the person who helped my family out, but she was very nice and encouraged samples. I got a single scoop of their strawberry balsamic swirl and my kids got mint chip + strawberry sorbet. We all loved the ice cream. It was around $13 for 1 single scoop + 2 kids scoops. I would 100% recommend if you're in the area! read more

Stopped in on a hot Saturday while walking around downtown Vashon. The shop is bright and cute. Service was not super friendly but adequate. The ice cream however was really disappointing. My son got a scoop of Strawberry which he seemed to enjoy and my husband and I each got small soft serves in a cup. I really wish I had taken a picture because the serving was laughably small. It was seriously less than half the size of any other small soft serve I have ever gotten anywhere in my life. It was literally one swirl across the bottom of the bowl. If it had been mind blowingly delicious soft serve, I could have looked past the tiny portion size but it was not good. The texture was off and it seemed like there were fat granules that had separated in the soft serve. I know there are other options in the area and we were really disappointed that we had decided to stop here. read more

This teeny and adorable ice creamery on the main drag was just the perfect thing on a hot day. They list their flavors on the window outside - that day they had eight flavors: Theo chocolate, vanilla, black tea, strawberry, peach cardamom, marionberry oat, apricot sorbet, and toasted coconut. Everything sounded good. The ice cream is made locally and with local ingredients (the eggs and milk are from Smith Brothers Farm). Because it's stonefruit season right now, I had to get the apricot sorbet. It was really really good! And with the texture of the sorbet, you can absolutely tell that it's made with real apricots! I only got one flavor/scoop of ice cream and I regret it - I wish i had gotten a second scoop/flavor lol. The place is really small - like a hallway basically and there's a sticker on the ground that asks for one person/party at a time. The pair inside the store was taking their sweet ole time, so I probably waited nearly seven minutes before it was my turn to go inside. The two ladies inside were very friendly and they take credit card. read more

Great Ice Cream, Oddly Hostile Experience We've been here a few times because, to be fair, the ice cream is good. But every visit feels like a small emotional hurdle. The owner, who is always there, comes off as consistently rude. One of our favorite moments (and I say that loosely) is asking her which flavors in the display case match the list on the wall. Instead of a simple answer, she argues about why that even matters. According to her, you shouldn't care what it looks like--just pick something and live with your choices, I guess? There's something weirdly memorable about being challenged on your need for basic information while buying dessert. But let's be honest: it doesn't exactly make you feel great about spending your money there. Two stars for the ice cream. The experience? Not so sweet. read more

Glass Bottle Creamery is a welcome addition to Vashon's main drag in recent years. They offer rotating flavors of scoops as well as soft-serve. Flavors are inventive and delicious and include vegan options. On any given day they may offer flavors like Milk Tea, Banana Pudding, Matcha, Theo Chocolate and Thin Mint. Pre-packed pints are also available. Big and little kids will love the arcade games and hip, modern decor. Tip: don't go too close to closing time or you may find yourself with not many choices left. Not sure if this is a Sunday night issue since they are closed on Mondays, but make sure you don't miss out! read more

We found out about this place because of the Yelp Passport to Vashon event that allowed us to get a free ice cream cone. I walked in and saw the diner seating which was pretty cool all by itself, but look around and this place is super cool. They have neon signage, Banksy-type graffiti on the walls, and more importantly, they had an old school arcade thing going on. sis played Ms. PacMan as we waited for our cones and I played Dr. Mario, which I haven't played since the original Nintendo NES. It reminded me of a mini Neon Retro Arcade in Pasadena. They even had a machine to break dollar bills into quarters so you can get your kids out of your hair while you eat. I ordered the thin mint, which was a white mint ice cream with chocolate wafer cookies mashed into it and it was pretty good. Next time I'm in town, I'm bringing some cash so I can play all the games! read more

Neat little ice cream shop on Vashon island. It's got a variety of homemade flavors each day and a bunch of vintage arcade games. It's a mix of an anime vibe and a 90s arcade. It's hard to explain, but I'm here for it! The pumpkin ice cream was my favorite, but the caramel apple was good and had good sized pieces of apple and caramel bits. The ice cream was good, but the service was better. Its a shame the owner doesn't let the TEEN workers collect tips Considering they're actually kids. Also, one of the girls was extremely kind and fast with her service and, as a matter of fact im only writing this review/complaint because i was tried to tip her for her good work but she replied "we dont accept tips." For a single child to be working with a line of peope all day and not get tips is unfair and greedy. read more

Cute and tiny homemade ice cream shop on the island! I have tried to come here several times but always found it closed, but I finally tried it, and it's yummy! I found the prices reasonable by Seattle standards, but I know locals consider it expensive. Got a kids scoop of Thin Mint, a single scoop of coffee, and a single scoop of sorbet. The Thin Mint was amazing and just the right size for my toddler. The coffee looked like it was going to be strong but was just right. The sorbet, while I'm told tasted good, needed a little help - since it's made without dairy, it's awkward and clumpy. There's a cute little bench right outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream. Parking is on the street or nearby parking lots. The flavors seem to change often, so I'm excited to try what else they make. Will definitely be back, especially during the summer months! read more

Local ice cream shop. Came here on a Sunday and probably stood in a small line for 25 minutes before we got inside which wasn't that great. Loved this cute, quaint creamery! The staff were friendly and allowed me to try a couple different flavors of ice cream before choosing. I got Theo's chocolate and the strawberry balsamic swirl on their waffle cone. Although I couldn't taste the balsamic much, the ice cream was thick and creamy and the small chunks of strawberry were so good! I preferred it over Theo's chocolate. Their waffle cones were tasty, but the ice cream easily permeates through and the seam of the waffle cone wasn't as tightly sealed as other ice cream shops so the ice cream leaked within 5 minutes down the side of the seam and through the tip. Aside from the mess and having to scarf down the ice cream much quicker than I would've like, the flavors were delicious. Next time I'll be trying their ice cream sandwiches! read more

I've eaten ice cream all over this great country and their Strawberry balsamic swirl is by far the BEST summer flavor I've ever had the pleasure of enjoying. It was also some of the creamiest ice cream I've had in a very long time. The shop is SUPER small and can be very busy but the wait is worth it! Their fresh waffle cones are also amazing. This rivals Salt n Straw. I'm chalking this ice cream store up in my top 2. My ice cream made me groan with joy. It was a split as well which makes me so happy because I get more variety. Small little shop so buy and walk. Friendly employees. A highlight of Vashon Island for me. read more

First off, ice cream was fantastic! The cookies and cream was a big hit with my 2 boys. I am dairy free and the sorbet was a blessing in the heat! Only thing was when we tried to get ice cream at the cute bike in the front of the store the girl and boy running the stand were too busy getting "handsy" (putting it lightly) with each other to notice us even after I tried to get their attention. It was in the peak of strawberry fest so it was quite loud. We ended up just going inside instead. The inside is adorable so I am glad we actually went in, and the boys loved all the games so they were happy campers. read more

I have no doubt that this is the best ice cream I have ever eaten. Excited to try the combination of strawberry and balsamic in ice cream form, I ordered a single scoop of the frozen dessert in a cup. Rich and creamy, the vanilla base of my ice cream was thick and sweet and perfect, and it was obvious that the cream was of excellent quality. The chunks of flavorful berries were plentiful and made each bite of ice cream interesting and scrumptious. Although the balsamic was seemingly missing, I didn't mind too much, for I had been slightly concerned that the vinegar might overpower the sweet, subtle taste of the ice cream. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with Glass Bottle Creamery, and if ever I return to Vashon Island, I will certainly return for some more of their amazing ice cream! read more
