I'm still giving this place a great rating. As promised it's been two weeks since I went in for my SNS at Glamour nails. I'm pleased. There have been no chipped tips and all the nails are still intact. I had two fall off at the previous place I tried. So all in all, I will return to them again. I've attached a photo they have grown out quite a bit, but lasted longer than any other place in Tallahassee.
My favorite nail place in Tallahassee. The girls are very welcoming and I love love LOVE Katie. She does a fabulous job every time and is very enjoyable to chat with. I get the SNS dip nails each time. Recently they got a bunch of new SNS colors in. I always have the worst time trying to decide on a color! They offer complimentary waters, sodas and wine too. It's easy to get an appointment but they also do walk ins. Obviously if you plan on going on Friday or the weekend I would advise you make an appointment because that's their busiest time.
They take walk ins and prices are reasonable. I didn't have to wait and Tina did an excellent job on my full acrylic set for $25 which is cheap! What I don't like is that they don't accept AMEX or Apple Pay, and I didn't have enough cash on me neither all my other cards as I'm on vacation and didn't expect this to happen. They should warn customers up front as it was a hassle for me to be able to pay. Further excellent place besides this hiccup.
I paid $80 (tip not included) for acrylic full set, classic pedicure with polish, and an eyebrow wax. The male tech that did my pedicure was AMAZING. He was so patient and gentle and my feet still look amazing. My nails started turning yellow and lifting after 4 days, and yes I wash my hands regularly. I've never ever had this problem before in my life. The nail tech was on her phone for half of my manicure and did not hear me when I told her what shape and color I wanted, so she messed up and had to start over. I wouldn't recommend this place ever.
My best friend and I come here all the time. They're amazing! Customer service is great and they always do a phenomenal job.
Thank you Miss Nancy for the BEAUTIFUL mermaid nails today she will always be my go to girl!
Glamour is one of my usual places to go get my dip manicure. Their prices are pretty good for the services that they offer, but sometimes they are just so pushy about upselling. I usually only come to this salon for dip because of my bad experiences at other places, but the most recent time was not the best. I paid extra to have my cuticles removed although they were not completely removed. They also applied the dip powder way too thick and I had to ask them to file it down more, and even then it was not enough. I am not docking more than a star just because I have gone multiple other times and my nails come out perfect, so it could have just been an off day. The last time I went the person giving me my manicure and pedicure was asking me about getting gel on my feet, but I told her no thank you I really don't like the UV light on my feet or hands as the reason to why I get dip on my hands instead, and her response was that is weird everyone loves gel. Then while she was giving me my manicure she asked me if I get my eyebrows done to which I responded yes and she offered to wax them for me, even though I had just gotten them done. There is a difference between upselling and just being pushy about spending more money. I will definitely be back to update my review.
I've become really disappointed with this place. I don't get my nails done often so when I do get them done, I have certain expectations. A few weeks ago I went in for a French mani pedi. The water was scolding hot so I asked the lady to turn it down a bit... instead she made it freezing cold. The pedicure was fine otherwise. I showed the lady the thickness I wanted for the white strip, I don't like it too thin or too thick. She continued to make the strip thick and I had to keep telling her to make it thinner. After a while I just quit saying something because I felt like she was getting annoyed with me. When I moved over to get my manicure done I told the lady not to cut or file my nails. I had done it before I came because I'm super particular about how my nails are filed. Because of that one comment she didn't even soften my cuticles or remove them. She only cut extra skin off from the side of my nail and then proceeded to paint them. WHAT THE HECK... isn't that part of the manicure that I'm paying for??? The height of the white strip was better on my fingers but I still felt some fingers were too thick, even after telling her numerous times to make it thinner. About 1 week after getting a gel manicure my thumb polish started to peel. I had to go back in and have them redo it. They did so kindly and didn't charge me. But it should last at least 2 weeks. When I went in to have the polished removed, the lady used a brush to remove it. She then soaked my nails in acetone for a couple of minutes only and then used another brush to remove any residual polish. By using the brush, my nails are now ruined. They have scratches all over them. I'm pretty sure she filed too much of my pinky nail removing some of the natural nail too because it's so soft and the nail bed is super sensitive. Overall this has been my worst manicure experience ever. I may have to find a new place to go to.
They did a good job but make sure you know the price of the services you are getting before hand or else they charge any price since their pricing isn't posted on the wall you have to look at the actual printed booklet of prices which I didn't see laying out anywhere the day I went. One of the women overcharged me for a fill in. Personally, I won't be back.
Love this place and love how my nails turned out definitely would recommend!!! People were very nice and the salon is very clean!
I tried this place out because a friend and I were searching for somewhere not closed on Sunday and close to where we live. The atmosphere is clean and bright, do we we're off to a good start. They also serve complimentary drinks with a service, so that was a bright spot on our visit. The nail tech talked me into trying the Kiara Sky dip polish because it lasts longer and comes with a free fill. It was a good deal for $35, so I picked a color and we started in. I was a little disappointed that the manicure isn't actually a manicure at all. It is basically a polish change, but my nails looked nice and they were shaped beautifully so I let that go. The thing that really gets me is that this is supposed to past longer than gel and my nails are actually breaking underneath the polish because the tech didn't do the sides of my nails properly, so they aren't sealed at all. You can clearly see the breakage from the attached photos. I am hoping maybe it's the tech and not the place, but I may be going back soon and ask them to finish my nails on the sides along with the fill... sorely disappointed for the money and time put into this!
I've been here twice for SNS and had good experiences. They are one of the faster places I've been and do good work. The interior could use a face lift though.
I very much recommend this place. me and my friend went and we waited about five minutes for just a walk in appointment which is a great time for being a Friday . when I sat down the lady automatically asked me what shape I wanted and what color I wanted. I told her I wanted lilac with butterflies. she automatically knew what I was talking about and did a great job. she made art on my nails exactly what I envisioned in my head and I left a great tip. definitely my new go-to place! thanks!

I was a little skeptical because of the reviews I read, but it turns out this place is very nice. Julie did my nails and they turned out wonderfully and Tony took his time doing my pedicure. read more

I've been getting my nails done at Glamour Nails since it opened. The staff is friendly and the salon is always clean. They are very accommodating and always offer their clients something to drink. Perfect place to go on a Friday night to get pampered after a long work week. Belle is absolutely FANTASTIC and very talented! I would highly recommend her. I've been getting my nails done with her since the salon opened and wouldn't go anywhere else. I've attached pictures, this is the gel-mani she recently did for me. I love how it turned out. Whoever is looking for a place to get their nails done I would definitely recommend Glamour Nails. p.s. Sometimes my fiancé comes with me to get a pedicure and he also loves this place. All of the staff is so pleasant and talented. read more

I have had my nails done here 3 times and each time was great. I get the SNS done, and last time I got a beautiful blue ombre, which I'm still getting compliments on 3 weeks out. I forgot to take a pic of my whole hand, so this one will have to do. read more

I've tried a couple of salons around town. Definitely not a fan of the salons at the mall but I really like this one. I normally get the SNS nails (powder) but usually most places are limited on colors. They have a great range of colors and feels a bit more relaxed here. They also offer beverages and the people are personable. Bryce was quick and effective. I appreciate this as I'm always on the go. No appointments needed and definitely will be back. read more

I loveeee this nail salon. I always go here like every 2 weeks to get a new set of SNS nails and it's only like $45 including the tips I always get because my nails are short and the shaping I want. My nails never fall off or chip and it's truly amazing. read more

Very nice on the inside. Free drinks. A TON of dip color choices but I ended up going with gel. $45 for a full set, gel, coffin shape. Don't really like how they charge an extra $5 for coffin but that seems like norm in Tallahassee. Very happy with my nails though!! read more

So this was my first time coming to this salon. And I had the worst customer experience. I chose this salon because the pictures they have posted was something close to what I wanted. I wanted a 3D design with a few rhinestones. The first person who did my nails did a really good job . I also got a pedicure and they also look very nice . So I had to wait to get the actual design I wanted. I probably waited for 30 mins to an hour. She attempted to do the design and then decided she can't do it , she literally took off the work and said I give up , walked to the back to get her stuff and she walked out the door .All I wanted to do was leave I have been there for almost 3 hours to not even leave with what I asked for . I even still tipped for my actual service because they did a really good job but I left in tears . I even asked to change the design because she said she couldn't do it and she still walked out on me . Not once was I offered a drink while I waited or even during my services. And not once I was I rude or disrespectful to anyone in that salon . It's sad because I absolutely love the quality of the work but for that girl to just give up, take off the work she already done and just leave me their with 2 buffed out nails is the reason I don't think I can go back . read more

I was not please with my service at all. Everyone was very friendly but my nails did not come out as expected. I got a full set with coffin shaped tips. My nails were so thick and wide you couldn't tell they were coffin shaped. They were all very crooked and you could visibly see the layers of nail polish on the sides of my nails. I'm not the type of customer that micromanages. I went to another salon 1 week later and the lady told me they were too wide and all crooked but she fixed them for me with no problem. I won't be going back. read more
