Dr. Yerro is the best! I love how she takes her time with each one of my kiddos and explains everything throughly. My son told her he had a boo-boo on his knee and she didn't ignore it. She actually told me to keep an eye on it as it did look a tad bit swollen. When other Pediatricians would have just ignored it coming from a 4 year old. She's not quick to rush and try to push meds down my kids throats. She's just an amazing Human. We have been going to her since my first born. She's about to turn 10. read more

First time coming to this doctor and I am so happy I finally found a good doctor who listens and care for their patients. My son is 11 and she is the only doctor that really made me say "finally a good doctor for my child". They know what they are doing and the office is nice and clean a bit small but you will be in good hands here. I was able to get specific labs ordered for my son his last doctor was so uneducated and seemed like he was severely forgetful or something and he would dismiss me when I tried to get what was needed for my son but Dr. yerro right away knew what to do when she heard my concerns when it came a to my sons health! Dr Yerro is great but the office staff barley answers the phone or the office phone is always busy or the office is locked during none lunch hours when Dr Yerro isn't there but staff is. So it's kind of like a hit or miss. They don't answer for about the first two hours of being open. That 14 seconds was an automated message about hours of operation which starts 9. I've tried to be patient and cut her and this office some slack, at first it was because I knew they were undergoing a location change, so I figured the disorganized and rushed feeling would go after some time. Well it's gotten worse. I give this one star because it's been maybe once or twice that I was able to come in once I called, either right away or within that day, and also because Dr. Yerro's suggestions can be helpful. As for everything else, it's just a really disorganized business, her staff never know what's going on it seems, you always get an unsure feeling after speaking with them. As if they're not giving you the full, honest answer or simply because they aren't trained enough to know what's going on. That's one thing. The other would be Dr. Yerros lack of consistency. My daughter has been sick of a rash (and what I now have concluded is an infection myself based on her symptoms of very green boogers) since Monday of last week, I called the next day to schedule or see if they had anything, they didn't have anything until Thursday of that week which I took what I could get anyway. It seems as if Dr. Yerro is never in her office, their hours are already all over the place but even when she's supposed to be there she's not. So when we got there that Thursday we were in the waiting room for an hour and a half!!! Luckily my daughter was patient with me that day. Once they called us in we explained our concerns, she checked her rash, explained that there was a virus going around and to be aware. Took a look at her throat and noticed redness so requested a culture swab. Keep in mind that this was Thursday afternoon. She said the rash could be tied to the possible infection and that we should hear back Monday or Tuesday, most likely Monday. She then prescribed her a symptomatic medicine for the itch and amox if they could confirm it to be an infection. She told us not to give her the amox until we got the call that her lab results were in. So over the weekend we watched our daughter get worse and worse. Coughing up booger's until she threw up worse. I immediately called Monday to hear for he results, what do you think? Dr Yerro is away. Ok so i call today (Tuesday) to ask if we could start the medication already. The front office told me that they would get back to me another time because that had a lot of paperwork and would need to get to her file.... At this point I'm frustrated. So I explain to them that she's been sick for a week and a day and that we were told we would be hearing back latest by Tuesday. "Dr Yerro is busy with patients all day we will get back to you after" they took my name and number down, I was expecting a phone call all day today and nothing. I have yet to write a bad yelp review but I've never been this disappointed in a business, better yet one that focuses on the bettering and care of children. I could not be more upset about the way this office is ran. read more

Where do I begin.??.... I don't want to bore anyone. Dr Gladys Yerro was my brothers pediatrician when he was 11 (he is 26 now) she discovered a heart problem on my brother on his initial visit (which the previous pediatrician failed at this) Dr Yerro then referred my brother to cedar Sinai to the best cardiologist, where he had open heart surgery. Since then, my parents had great faith in her and so did I. When I had my children I chose her to be their primary physician. My kids are now 6 and 10, and they trust Dr Yerro. Dr Yerro takes time to answer all my questions. And have one on one conversations with my children. I truly recommend dr Yerro as a family physician. read more

Dr. Yerro and her staff is the best. My daughter has been under her care since 2003 and my son since birth. Both my kids have complicated medical histories and Dr. Yerro has been very vigilant about their health. She's very approachable and reasonable. She truly shows that she really cares about the well-being of her patients. Her staff is commendable as well. When it comes to after hours. She's reasonable. The doctor calls back as soon as she can and if not the answering services follows up on it. I still remain true to what I have said before, if Dr. Yerro moves, we will move with her. The only drawback though is that she is by appointment only, their office is not high tech (meaning, their charts and records are not on a hard drive.) and i don't think they accept credit cards. Dr.Yerro was my pediatrician and my sisters and now she is my sons pediatrician. That should tell you a lot about her. She is extremely smart, gentle, and takes her time with you because she really actually cares. My son is terrified if doctors but he is so calm with Dr Yerro. He loves her and tells her to check him! After changing my toddlers pediatrician twice in almost 3 years I am truly so happy I got referred to Dr. Yerro through my best friend who also not only came to Dr. Yerro as a child her self but now is also bringing her toddler too. The staff was so welcoming and caring the nurse was a sweetheart and the doctor took her time explaining herself and examined my son so well from A-Z answered all my questions and for once I didn't feel rushed out of the doctors office because you can tell this doctor takes her time to truly share her knowledge with you. doctor yerro has been our doctor for my son and my daughter, my daughter at the age of three year old when we first came to her really bad asthma, we were in out of the emergency room at least twice a month and then i came to doctor yerro, she immediately ordered her chart from the previous provider, right away she could see things that they should have been doing. now my daughter is 14years old and doing just great thanks to doctor yerr. she then took on my son at that time he was 4 years old and had a lot of ear infections and could not speak because of the ear infections again she pulled the chart from the previous provider and againg she could see things that should have been taking place but were not. she made sure that we saw all of the specialsit and went to speech classes, now he is 12 yrs old in magnet and honors classes in junior high, and loves to talk.
