The best dessert spot! Absolutely worth the line, the classic s'mores frozen hot chocolate is SO GOOD!! It's such a great location very walkable and has a candy store inside! They make your drinks & desserts right infront of you and are super quick! The staff is super friendly as well!!! Highly recommend getting a soft serve with the brownie, it's insanely good!
if this was closer to me I'd be in trouble - I am deeply aware of soft serve of supremacy, so I was excited to go to an ice cream place dedicated to this. OK also dedicated the hot chocolate, but it's literally late August who would be doing it - I got the brown butter vanilla soft serve with the pistachio hard shell. I loved how many hard shell options they have like cookie butter & Matcha. - the ice cream was perfectly sweet, with a subtle flavor. the brown butter 100% came through providing a toasted nutty flavor through the soft light vanilla. it was so incredibly smooth and definitely melted very quickly. - my dining companion got the passionfruit sundae with Greek frozen yogurt. it was tangy and light, with almost the exact same smooth consistency with a sweet & sour passionfruit glaze and bits of crispy meringue to change up the texture
After seeing this place all over social media I think my expectations were maybe a bit too high. This was definitely a good dessert but just wasn't a wow factor like I was expecting. The cookie wasn't anything special and was a bit too chewy for my liking. I did however really enjoy the vanilla brown butter soft serve. I think there's other places that also serve really good desserts that aren't as popular. I would personally seek those out instead!
This is the famous Instagramable spot on the Upper East Side to absolutely splurge and feast on sugary goodness. In winter their hot chocolate smores concoction with a huge ring of flamed marshmallow on top is the go-to. They also have a variety of hot chocolate drinks on the menu. If you want ice cream they offer a selection of sundaes, soft serve, seasonal specials, an assorted flavors. Definitely a place to satisfy that sweet tooth craving. Can get very busy at times as I have seen a line down the block for that special hot chocolate.
Very good sorbet (chocolate, lemon) - they also have raspberry. They don't have vegan ice cream but the sorbet is very good.
Such a cute ice cream shop with great flavors! We got the strawberry shortcake sundae where the proceeds are donated to charity and the special lemon froyo/lemon sorbet topped with homemade marshmallow. (Ask for the actual lemon) I think they were $10-15 each Definitely want to go back and try more flavors
The New York thing is, if you see a line, you join it. Idk. That's just what I've seen online. Glace was definitely on our list for our trip under the sweet treat category. Oh, the power of social media. How can you resist these five words: brownie pudding à la mode? That's exactly what we got. While the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate thing seems to be the showstopper, I can assure you the brownie pudding is just as decadent. And that's truly the best word I could use for this dessert. The brownie pudding was rich, gooey, and chocolately. The ice cream was creamy and rich. Both were good as separate entities, but I don't think they're the best pairing together. If I had to choose one or the other, I'd probably go with just the ice cream next time. The staff were super friendly. The line outside probably only took 15 minutes at best. I'd wait again, probably just for the ice cream or to try another item.
Always a hit! Today I did the amalfi lemon. Never go without getting the marshmallow. Perfectly toasted and elevates anything you order. YUM!
It was good but not worth the price! We went on a Saturday afternoon and waited in line for about 15 min. We ordered the froyo/sobert combo in the frozen lemon. It was almost $15 after tax. We liked the lemon sorbert more than the froyo. The marshmallow topping wasn't anything special. On a busy Saturday there wasn't any place to sit but they do have a few tables outside. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but it's definitely a social media trend/fab.
We've been seeing a lot of videos and promo for their menu items which looked so good online. We came Sunday afternoon and waited in a small line for 5-10 minutes. I ordered their brown butter vanilla soft serve with Nutella crunch. I felt there was barely any of the Nutella crunch topping compared to the soft serve quantity. We also got the brownie ala mode with cookies and cream soft serve. The brownie itself was ok, but the soft serve was good. Overall it feels a bit overhyped.
No line on a Wednesday afternoon! Classic s'mores hot chocolate was actually really good - not too sweet, and the marshmallow was fun. Would try the soft serve next time. They also have a great candy store.
Very yummy! I wish they had the brownie scoop but they ran out of a lot of things so beware to come earlier. I got the frozen hot chocolate and it was delicious and very filling. I hope next time they include more toppings.
I had their pistachio ice cream, topped with a hard-shell chocolate syrup, and it was rich, decadent, and absolutely delicious. It's a must-try anytime you're on the Upper East Side--especially if you're near at the MET or Central Park , or just casually heading for a walk around the Great Lawn. YOU OFFICIALLY HAVE THE SUPREME TOUCH!
I've been wanting to try Glacé for an extremely long time after seeing all of their cookie platters with soft serve on Instagram and tik tok. Now this is a simple concept but the execution is extremely important as these are such simple baked goods and ingredients but because of that quality and taste is so much more important. I ordered the cookie tray which comes with brown butter vanilla soft serve and opted for the chocolate chip cookie. Now it was a hot summer night and I decided to dig in before taking a photo, but my goodness is this delicious!! The cookie is warm so it melts and the soft serve compliments it so well. It's so well made and appetizing I could eat this every week. The store is beautiful and it's also a candy store so I picked up some bags of Swedish candy as well. I decided to get another cup of soft serve to eat afterwards because I couldn't resist but I really recommend Glace and it makes sense why this place is so popular. It really IS worth the hype! read more

As good as it looks like the brown butter vanilla soft serve was UNREAL could literally drink it like wow perfect. I want every time I crave a sweet treat. Only qualm was quite a bit of a line but where in nyc is there not a line for a dessert rip read more
We tried the Glace truck at Rockefeller Center back in January and the hot chocolate was wonderful. So of course we had to try their ice cream in July to see if it was as good! I got the fluffer nutter sundae with the marshmallow hard shell. I had it with two scoops of crème brûlée ice cream - delicious and super sweet. Luckily it wasn't too busy when we went. I found the service unremarkable; one employee was blah while another was sweet and cheerful. Nowhere to eat inside but there was a few outside tables under cover. read more

The Glace truck at the Rockefeller Plaza was closed, so we decided to try the Madison location and ended up waiting about 30 minutes. My daughter had the Cookies & Cream Hot Chocolate, topped with an Oreo-dipped toasted marshmallow halo, cookies & cream whipped cream, and hot fudge. I went with the Classic S'mores Hot Chocolate with a toasted marshmallow halo and a generous scoop of whipped cream. Both drinks were rich and sweet, loaded with whipped cream--so much so that I couldn't finish mine. read more
Is this the best hot chocolate I've ever had in my life? It is definitely up there! We went on a day that they had a giveaway with Summer Fridays, we honestly had zero clue! The hot chocolate was delicious and the presentation was top tier! Great for a chilly day in NYC! read more

The hot chocolate is absolutely delicious and decadent. I would recommend sharing one as it is rather rich. The shop is cute and cozy and the staff is really friendly. The lines can get really insane during holidays, but we went during the week and there was no wait at all read more

Had to wait around 30-40min in the cold on New Year's Day but the hot chocolate was really good! We got the cookies and cream and ferrero glace and they were both delicious! The ferrero glacé was actually not just regular hot chocolate but it was hazelnut flavored, and we preferred that more than the cookies and cream one. The whipped cream on top was very milky and decadent and we really liked toasted marshmallow on the rim! I will definitely come back when the line is shorter! read more
This place has been on my go-to list for the past year or so & boy was I satisfied. I got the regular s'mores hot chocolate & it was so rich & chocolatey! The sweetness was perfect & the drink in general was just great. The service is quick, the staff were nice, but there isn't space in the shop to sit down & have your hot chocolate, so it's definitely a grab & go type of thing. Definitely returning before winter ends! read more
The other reviews are accurate about the social media buzz at this spot. I'll even go as far as saying the hype and IG picturesque photos inflate the sense of taste here. Overall, I got a classic s'mores hot chocolate. It was good from the taste and sweetness level. I was expecting it to be sweeter because of the marshmallow halo and whipped cream, but it wasn't and that's definitely not a bad thing in my book. I liked the staff and thought they must be incredibly patient as they work through the hordes of people in line. read more
I do wish they had more areas to sit and enjoy their decadent hot chocolate inside but we made the most of it. Had it not been cold and raining it would've been a great day to pop in and out. So if the weather is nice, there are no issues. We sat outside under the covered tent as it was pouring down rain. I overheard an employee tell a patron he couldn't stand in the store and drink his hot chocolate so we knew that wasn't an option. There's so much nostalgia to a hot chocolate and Glacé just makes it a foodie's delight! Quality flavor and various options to fancy it up. I love it! Coming to the actual store front was well worth a short train ride over from Rockefeller Center where the pop up is located. The day we tried to purchase from the pop up, there were people in line for almost an hour and about 1/2 way through the line. We didn't wanna stand around so we opted for the store front and I'm glad we did. There were only about three other groups in line when we arrived. There's a small area that makes up a candy store here as well. Bring water. It's delicious but super decadent! An absolute must try! Get the salted caramel or classic. Can't go wrong. read more
This hot chocolate was exactly what I needed on a cold afternoon. The toasted marshmallow rim is DELICIOUS and the cream perfectly balances the rich chocolate. I absolutely loved this drink so much. They also have a lot of fun candy that you can fill by the bag so that was fun! read more
Came for the summer Fridays collab, stayed for the insanely rich delicious S'mores hot chocolate. Rich velvety chocolate topped with a literal cloud of whipped cream and toasted marshmallow rimming the cup? Say less. I've had to come back already once since my first visit. Very good, especially when it's super cold. Wouldn't get it again but it's worth trying once! read more
It was a cold and rainy day in New York so I opted for a hot chocolate instead of frozen. For a $12 hot chocolate, this was pretty pricy for the quality. I was expecting it to be more rich and chocolatey but it was pretty watery and Luke warm. Maybe I'll go back and try the frozen drink sometime. read more

We tried the classic hot chocolate and warm cookie a la mode. Both were fantastic and it was a fun experience overall! The hot chocolate was very rich. The concept of the torched marshmallow ring and scoop of whipped cream is unique and led to a memorable experience. The cookies & ice cream were also delicious. Not to mention, both were gluten free! Employees were kind despite being busy. We found a bench to enjoy our treats as the weather was tolerable when I visited. read more

Phenomenal hot chocolate! Not over-hyped! I tried the Classic S'mores Hot Chocolate-- absolutely delicious. Better hot chocolate than no chewing allowed! Rich, sweet, creamy... but the true star of the show is the whipped cream and the marshmallow topping. All of the components meld together beautifully to create the best hot chocolate you will taste. I will definitely be returning to try their other hot chocolate variations! read more
WORTH THE HYPE! I am constantly disappointed in viral foods on Tik Tok but let me tell you I was NOT disappointed when I went here. Had to wait in a little line but wasn't too bad and again was worth it. I'll be dreaming of this frozen hot chocolate probably until my next NYC visit. read more

Delicious!!! Worth the long line!!! The location is small but no one stays inside. The line moves pretty quickly. My suggestion would be to get the regular hot chocolate with the flavor on top you choose. But anything you choose will be delicious! read more
Believe the hype. The hot chocolate was decent. I had the Ferrero rocher version and I found the marshmallow, whipped cream and Nutella and crumbs of hazelnut better than the hot chocolate itself . I wish I would've asked for regular hot chocolate because I probably would've liked it better. My friend said the classic s'mores was delicious. Ambiance is to just do a quick stop by as there is not a lot of space inside. Service was quick and friendly. read more
Got the classic s'mores hot chocolate topped with a chocolate gingerbread man. The drink looked beautiful-- perfect for the photos. It was delicious and I liked how the whipped cream melted nicely into the drink. Unfortunately, it is a bit pricey and I had to wait in line for 30 mins for this. Would def recommend trying this at least once though, preferably on a day when there's little to no lines. read more
Went to Glace NY on Madison Ave and ordered their Frozen S'mores Hot Chocolate. Yeah... it's as dangerous as it sounds. Rich chocolate, toasted marshmallow vibes, and somehow gluten-free - but I'm not asking questions. One sip and I went from 'tough guy' to 'man contemplating his life choices' real quick. Staff was awesome, flavors were on point, and yes, I'd fight a bear to get another one. " read more

When you walk around UES in the evening it's generally pretty quiet up until you stumble into Glace, the only dessert shop popping off right now. My friends and I waited for maybe 10 minutes before we ordered and we got the smores hot cocoa with the marshmallow rim and whipped cream, and we also got the apple pie a la mode with brown butter soft serve to go. First thoughts - the hot chocolate is definitely worth the hype. I was such a fan of the torched marshmallow and the hot cocoa itself, really yummy winter treat. The apple pie sundae was pretty good (warm apple pie and ice cream; what's not to love), but if I were to come back it would be for their hot cocoa. read more

I finally tried the viral hot coco trending all over Instagram and TikTok. This was worth the wait, especially through the brisk cold weather. The two signature hot chocolates were the Tiramisu S'more and Ferrero Glace. When you place your order, the people behind the counter instantly toast your marshmallow cup in front of you and get a waft of toasty marshmallow goodness. Please be attentive and quick on what you want to order since there is a long line of people waiting outside in the cold who want to warm up and place their order too. The tiramisu s'more hot coco was quite strong on the espresso shot mixed with the hot coco but got smoother with each sip paired with taking small bites of the marshmallow goodness. Before I knew it, I finished drinking it and scooped every bit of the marshmallow and whipped cream. The Ferrero Glace which is loosely based on the Ferrero Rocher was a milky and soft approach. It wasn't the same as taking a bite from a Ferrero Rocher but ideal for someone who prefers a slightly heavy and milky hot coco. However, the Nutella drizzled on top of the whipped cream was dense and not appetizing. I personally like the Madison Avenue location over the Rockefeller Center since it nearby Museum Mile (5th Avenue) and Central Park. So ideal spot to try then take a small walk to the nearby museums. As a reminder, this is a viral and expensive hot chocolate so prepare your wallet to pay $15+ depending on which Signature Hot Chocolate you order read more

This place was great, line was long but I was there during Christmas time. Very nice scenery around and for it being a hyped item the price isn't bad. I will definitely try this place again. read more
$$$ but worth it. I stood in line for about 15 minutes. It's definitely an Instagrammable spot. From the chocolate tap to the marshmallow halo torching. I really enjoyed watching them creat my drink. You have to try the hot chocolate. I couldn't finish mine but really tried. I got the Ferraro Glaçé with hazelnut hot chocolate and it was a dream. Workers were friendly and plenty of room at the counter in the back to take a quick snap of your creation before you leave. I would love to try the ice cream sandwiches in the case, but that's for another time. Of course everything is gluten free which is amazing Grab a napkin to hold the cup with or bring a sleeve cause I carried this an avenue to central park and my hand was on fire. read more

I think this is such a fun and tasty treat! The hot chocolate is very good especially on a cold day! The marshmallow rim and icing is just an added treat! The vibe when you walk in is just fun and welcoming! Everyone working looks like they're busy but having fun at the same time! Definitely stop in if you're in the area. read more

last winter i decided to do a hot chocolate crawl around NYC. like many other people, i was drawn in via tiktoks of hot chocolate, so i had to try the most famous one of all - Glace. for starters, the creation itself looks stunning. the torched meringue around the rim, cream sphere, topping of nuts + chocolate. it is the most aesthetically pleasing hot chocolate i've had in the city! the taste was very nice, this one is more of a milk chocolate flavor. it's less thick than Rigor Hill and Caffe Panna, and i actually prefer a thicker hot chocolate. but that's all personal preference. the torched meringue wasn't overly sweet which was good, and the cold cream ball helped keep the hot chocolate from being scalding hot. the hazelnut flavor wasn't as prominent as i hoped though, i wish there was more of it. i do have to dock them on price however! this one was by far the most expensive hot chocolate i've had in NYC, i paid like $15. caffe panna (though slightly smaller) was $7 and had a richer, deeper flavor, and that's why my favorite is still caffe panna. still, loved coming to Glace! it's definitely an iconic spot during the holidays that you can't miss. there was no line when i came to the upper east side location, so i was happy to avoid the same crowd you'd see at rockefeller. solid 8/10! read more

So do they sell actual hot chocolate? Everything I'm seeing says frozen hot chocolate, which isn't what I want in winter!
Yes
Does the meringue or marshmallow fluff use animal protein?
Meringue is made with egg whites. However, it's best if you called and asked.
