First time trying this hot cocoa food truck, we went on a Wednesday at 6p, 1hr before closing and there was no line. We got the Ferrero glacé (Hot Chocolate, Marshmallow Halo, Whipped Cream, Toasted Hazelnuts and Glace Nutella) and the S'mores Sunday (Hot Chocolate, Marshmallow Halo, Hot Fudge, and Whipped Cream). Both drinks were delicious, especially on a cold night. There were some seats nearby.
Came here for the same reason as everyone else...the social media buzz. I'm a hot chocolate connoisseur and usually make my own but had to try this viral one. We arrived at around 12:30 on a Monday and the line was about a 25 min wait. I ordered two classic s'mores (one with Oreo topping); one peppermint (seasonal flavor); and one salted caramel. Each drink was about $13.50 plus extra for the toppings so my total was about $50. They were all good with either the caramel or the peppermint being my favorite. Not sure if it is but the salted caramel tasted housemade. The actual hot chocolate itself was average, though. Good, yes, but still average. When you mix everything together- the fresh whipped cream, the marshmallow, etc- it does taste good but not $13.50 and a 25 min wait in the cold good. It was nice to check Glacé off my list but I wouldn't return. There's better hot chocolate in nyc elsewhere. Also just a heads up I don't think they have any milk alternatives but I could be wrong. I don't recall seeing any on the menu.
We went to their truck in Rockefeller Center. It's located right outside 30 Rock. I ordered the s'mores. I loved the toasted marshmallows rim. It was a bit messy to hold and drink, but it was so delicious and warmed me up on a cold January day - would recommend sharing as it's a lot of sweetness for one person. But I would definitely get it again.
I went to the Loewe pop up! All of the flavors for this line up looked so good but I ultimately decided on the black sesame. Surprisingly, it was not too sweet at all, and the marshmallow was delicious! It had a more eggy flavor which I liked. I would have preferred maybe a little more sesame flavor. The only cons are the price (!!!) and practicality. You have to sit down and eat it, and it spills SO easily.
Visited the Glace truck. Seemed to be trending all over tiktok, I don't usually trust tiktok reviews lol but this one was accurate... A small line forms however moves pretty quick. I was hoping to try the Chocolate chip cookie with soft serve. However they only have the pumpkin spice cookie.... They definitely should have made both options available.. Anyways the pumpkin cookie was crunchy on the outside chewy inside. Not too much spice or overly sweet. It was perfect, the soft serve brought the flavors all together and I thought it was pretty big for the price. Definitely shareable. It was a nice day outside to stand and eat this, not too sure in the cooler months. They do have an actual retail store as well with many more options. Would love to visit soon.
One of my colleagues stumbled upon Glace on social media, and thought it looked good enough to warrant us checking it out. Since it was EOB on a Friday, we thought something sweet would be a good way to cap off our week - so we made the short walk over to check it out. Glace is located right on the edge of Rockefeller Center, and is actually a food truck as opposed to a brick-and-mortar establishment. I also learned that this is their second location, as they have a proper store on the UES. As we approached, we were greeted by a line - though it wasn't too long and moved at a good pace. The menu isn't too large - they seem to be known for their frozen hot chocolates that come with a variety of flavor accents and toppings. They also have a few soft-serve flavors with, again, a variety of toppings to choose. Soft serve seemed correct, so I went with the brown butter vanilla in a cup with salted caramel on top. The cup was actually deeper than I thought, and they but the caramel both on top of the ice cream and the bottom of the cup. I didn't really get brown butter from the vanilla, but the salted caramel was a nice addition. Service was swift - there was only one person working the truck while we were there and she kept traffic flowing well. Overall though, I didn't find anything too noteworthy about Glace to give it more than a 3. While the ice cream was fine, the prices were almost offensive. Everything was inflated and an additional charge - $2.50 extra to have the ice cream in a cone, extra for each topping. I understand this is a touristy area, but ooof. I likely won't return due to the prices in comparison to the quality. However, if you're looking to go somewhere to get a good snap of something sweet for your IG story, look no further.
Oh yea. Very good hot chocolate. And my husband is a very good hot chocolate judge and he thought this was amazing and worth the 13 dollars. It's super cute and they have a truck location at Rockefeller. The line is long but come on, it's so cute and yummy. I personally had to fight it to eat it because it kept spilling on me but hey it made it fun.
We heard this place had some of the best hot chocolate so we planned a trip to NY for the sole purpose of trying it. Not really but it was really good! The whipped cream is great and the hot chocolate is rich, but not too rich that you feel terrible after drinking it. I think it's one of the best hot chocolates I've ever had. They also have a caramel option and a Nutella walnut option. Bonus picture is of my wife spilling it all over herself.

My friend then got the classic with a drizzle of peanut butter and I got the salted caramel one. While we were slightly disappointed, both of us trying a different one that we tried before paid off and we loved it.
Dessert truck parked right at Rockefeller center. The line for service moves pretty quickly considering that there were just two people in the truck. Unfortunately they were in the pumpkin spice season and did not have chocolate chip cookies for the à la mode. The pumpkin spice cookie was pretty good and the soft serve ice cream was a great compliment to it. I'd give their other menu items a shot next time I'm around.

I ordered the salted caramel hot chocolate, and the moment I took that first sip with the chocolate, marshmallow, and whipped cream all hitting at the same time it was game over. The chocolate is rich but not overly sweet, which I really appreciated. You actually taste the quality, not just sugar. The salted caramel adds that perfect little edge without overpowering everything. The whole experience feels cozy and a little indulgent, and you can tell why people are willing to stand outside and wait. It's one of those treats that feels like a full experience, not just a quick drink. If you're in New York and you love hot chocolate or even if you usually don't this place is a must. I'd 100% wait in that line again.
If you have a sweet tooth, you must try Glace. Sometimes after hours of walking on 5th Ave you feel exhausted but I guarantee getting a dessert from here will make you feel better. I came here after a long shopping session in the area and the Classic S'mores cup was the true pick me up. It's frozen hot chocolate (chocolate ice cream), topped with marshmallow cream - DELICIOUS. I wish they gave a long graham cracker with the cup so you can dip. The sweetness level is up there but honestly it's just right for a moment of self indulgence. It's also big enough to share with a friend. I love the truck design too. It looks precious so sometimes people are hesitant to think they actually sell dessert. But yes, fully decked out food truck is there to serve you not just be used as a photo op. Two for one at Glace.
I had been following this place on Instagram for a while and I couldn't wait to stop here as soon as we got to NYC since we were staying only a few blocks from Rockefeller Center. We stopped by around 1pm on a Saturday and I was shocked that there was no line. And then the girl working said they were out of marshmallow. So we left. We stopped by later the same day around 6pm on our way to a Broadway show. I ordered the Classic S'mores Frozen Hot Chocolate. And it was everything I had ever wanted. It was sweet, cold, and a little warm from the toasted marshmallow rim. The frozen hot chocolate was so tasty and was a nice way to cool down since it was warm and humid in NYC. The whipped cream was delicious. I wish we would have made a second stop while we were visiting.
Glace's hot chocolates have been all over my Instagram. And tbh, I already suspected that I would find it too sweet but ofc I still wanted to try it. We got lucky and had no line when we come by. I ordered the salted caramel hot chocolate and it was definitely too sweet for me. The hot chocolate itself was fine but nothing special. I definitely expected it to be a bit higher quality. The whipped cream was yum but all in all it was just too sweet for me. I could only have half and would probably not get this again personally. It looked fantastic and the staff was friendly. After visiting Summit on a Sunday, we decided to stop here since it's been all over social media. Trying a few viral spots was part of the plan for our NYC trip. When we arrived, there was definitely a line. My husband gave me the look, and I confidently told him it would move quickly... I was wrong. The line took about 20 minutes, and it does move on the slower side -- especially on weekends and in the evening. That said, once you're committed, the anticipation kind of becomes part of the experience. He ordered the Ferrero Rocher hot chocolate, and I went with the s'mores hot chocolate -- and these are next-level. Each cup comes with a thick halo of lightly toasted marshmallow around the rim and a generous scoop (yes, a scoop) of whipped cream to mix in. The hot chocolate itself is rich, thick, and indulgent -- more of a dessert than a drink. One piece of advice: this is not a walking treat. It's messy. The marshmallow rim alone will have you wiping your hands, and I was standing still and still managed to get it everywhere. If you can, find a place to sit and enjoy it properly. Yes, there will be a line. Yes, you'll wait. But if you have a little patience, it's absolutely worth the hype read more

$15 for that Loewe x Glace collab! whoa! Got the black sesame and it was a nice sweet treat. Really tried it for the experience but $15 is hoooo. It was quite sweet so you have to be in that "sweet tooth" mode to fully enjoy it. Not too full as well coz it can be heavy. otherwise lovely experience, love that the flavors change and they collaborate with other businesses so it makes it exciting! read more

Love coming here. Although it's not the world's best hot chocolate, the toppings are amazing and make the stop worthwhile. There is always a line as this place is popular, but it moves pretty fast. read more
I loved the toasted marshmallow-rimmed hot chocolate I had a few Winters ago at the OG Glace and recently discovered the truck. Gimmicky, sure, but the chocolate Glacier Reel on Instagram made me want to finally stop by! I'm not someone who waits in long lines so when I was in the area and happened to see it with (surprisingly) almost no one around on a scorching hot day, I had to get one. Also got my bf the passionfruit sundae but it basically disintegrated on the short walk home so that affected the flavor a bit. I was bummed because I showed him the matcha passionfruit frozen yogurt and he really wanted it but it wasn't available at the truck (nor was the cookies and cream drink). Both items were tiiiiiiny, which I expected tbh. $10.50 Glacier + $11.50 sundae so prices weren't a complete ripoff but there was no where near enough frozen hot chocolate for the amount of crackable chocolate around the cup. Tons of whipped cream, tho... I casually finished the Glacier in like 20 seconds. The passionfruit sundae was lowkey flavorless as per my partner, sadly. Will stick with the wintertime drinks! read more
Ahhhhh sooooooo romanticcccc!! Located outside of Rockefeller Center, near the ice skating rink they have for the winter, Glace specializes in their smores hot chocolate and they also have soft serves. In the moment, we couldn't resist getting one. It seemed like the perfect dessert for the moment. My boyfriend and I shared the Classic S'mores ($11). The staff pipes on a ring of marshmallow halo and toasts it. Then they pour in the hot chocolate, and then finish it with a scoop of whipped cream. Yumm! There were a few small standing tables next to their cart for you to stand and watch the ice skating rink. It embodied all the romantic scenes you see on tv. The hot chocolate was very rich and the toasted marshmallow was a nice touch. The whipped cream was subtle and not too sweet. I think they make that in-house. It was a good thing we shared cause it was almost too rich to finish on my own. read more

I saw this place on tiktok and I came all the way down from Connecticut [1/12] to try it with my friends and I loved it so much I recommend!! Ambiance [5/5]: Located in Rockefeller park, theres so many things nearby you can do, sightsee, ice skate, lounge, options are endless. It's a truck so it's not like you'll be in an overcrowded closet of a store but you will be cold especially since you're next to the ice skating rink so I'd bundle up! Service [5/5]: The girls in there move fast, one was on the register, one one torching the marshmallow on the rim of the cup, and the other was pouring the hot chocolate into the cups. Hot chocolate was flying out rapidly and the taste was fantastic!! Food [5/5]: AMAZING!!! I loved it a lot. Me and my friend both got the Salted Caramel since the other options didn't sound that appealing, honestly mostly everybody in line was getting the salted caramel it's that good! The marshmallow rim was so good and goey and the whipped cream with caramel drizzle was so thick it felt like I was eating fluff it was so delicious. The hot chocolate was also a milk chocolate not rich dark chocolate like a lot of other places. I really enjoyed it! Theres also an option to add additional toppings ($1.50 more) but i don't think it was necessary. TLDR: I would 110% go back and I highly recommend for those chilly nights in the city, it's very tasty and creamy!! read more
This place kept popping up on Instagram for me haha. So when we went to New York, we made sure to stop by and try this place out. It was a raining, but that didn't stop us. We stood in line and got the Frozen S'mores. We watched the workers do their magic and torch the marshmallow fluff. It was definitely cool looking, but the flavor itself was just Ok. I'm sure there's plenty of places with good chocolate drinks. I think Glace is one of those places you have to try Once. But once you try it, you probably won't be back. The price is a bit hefty. It was $11 for this cup. If you haven't tried it before, stop by and try it out. It's a good Instagram shot, but don't expect to be wow's by the taste. read more

Really delicious, unique desserts on the pricier side. My group got a total of three different desserts, two with the delicious marshmallow halo, and one with the chocolate coating on the cup. All three were perfect for people with a sweet tooth: deliciously rich, chocolatey, and creamy. The service was a little subpar, but altogether had a good treat, would come back in the winter when it's hot chocolate instead of frozen chocolate! read more

I found out about Glace through Instagram! My mom and I had been planning to trek it to the brick and mortar location but when we realized there was a food truck near our hotel we decided to check it out! There was a bit of a line so we hopped in. It moved reasonably quick. When we got to the ordering window, there was a cute menu including the three hot chocolate options available. I ended up choosing the s'mores! After ordering, it came out within three minutes -- very fast! They had some spoons right there so I grabbed one then posted up by the rink to enjoy it. It was very delicious! The fluff was toasted and sweet. The hot chocolate was rich but slightly bitter which balanced perfectly with the toppings. The flavor of the whipped cream was yummy but admittedly I think it would've been nice if it was slightly less whipped/stiff, a softer consistency. Overall, enjoyed my trip to Glace and would go again. Would recommend :) read more
So Glace has expanded and now has a food truck at the Rockefeller Plaza. Yay for a closer location. I ventured out on a cold sleeted afternoon to check it out. They offer a more limited menu. No non dairy option, 3 hot cocoa options and brown butter ice cream. I ordered the peppermint cocoa $14.50 so kind of steep for a warmcup of sugar essentially lol but boy was it worth it! The toasted marshmallow and scoop of sweet atop the cocoa hit perfectly! I must say I do reccomend and I would get it again. FYI if you are trying to walk here and use your phone GPS. The large buildings throw Google and direct you to the wrong place. The food truck is outside next to the rink by the stairs. read more

It's a cute little truck with one or two people working. I ordered a S'mores sundae with chocolate soft serve. The marshmallow halo is delicious & the whip cream is thick. It is definitely a very sweet treat, but perfect for a hot day. It's a great treat to share because of how sweet it is. read more

This was SO delicious and the truck was super cute! Got there when they first opened the truck, the plaza was so busy, and the day was hot so it was PERFECT for this sweet treat! I will say, if you don't have a huge sweet tooth then I would definitely recommend sharing with a friend or two because it is extremely sugary. I absolutely loved the toasted marshmallow halo and the chocolate soft serve. Honestly, I would totally go back on another hot day or even try the hot chocolate version in the winter time! read more

Had a sweet treat at Glace New York, Truck Location in Rockefeller Center. This truck is perfect for those who want to try their dessert and can't go to their UES location. It's in a great location too because there are outdoor seating around. Ambiance rate 5/10. I ordered the "Classic Frozen S'mores" and it was delicious! The frozen chocolate was the perfect amount of sweetness. I also like the burnt marshmallow halo around the cup. However, I didn't like the giant scoop of whipped cream on top because it more tasted like bland cool whip. Plus, it made less room for the frozen chocolate. Overall, it was still very good. Rate 8/10. The service was very quick, and the staff were nice. Service/staff rate 7/10. I would definitely come back here, as well as recommend this neat dessert truck to other people! read more

Such a yummy treat after walking from Central Park. The smores sundae come with soft serve ice cream, fudge, a ring of marshmallow and whipped cream. Definitely large enough to share. There was a bit of a line but it went by quick. read more

I got the original hot chocolate and it's AMAZING! the line unfortunately is crazy but I think if you come early enough you can beat the line otherwise definitely expect a line when you go. The esthetic is for this place is super cute right next to the skating rink. read more
Waited in line for almost an hour but the hot chocolate was worth it! I love thick hot coco and this was just that. The marshmallow rim was so good and the whipped cream was so fluffy and not too sweet. Worth all the hype in my opinion! read more

This hot chocolate truck is parked in front of the ice skating rink at Rockefeller Center! Known for its viral hot chocolate with torched marshmallow rim, the lines are always long during the holidays. Many line up before the truck opens. I was skeptical thinking is it worth spending $11-14 for a hot chocolate and wait in line 45 minutes or more? I gave in after seeing the many smiling faces enjoying their drinks! It may be a little confusing to locate and workers in the area didn't know either. If you are walking up 50th St towards 5th Avenue, it's on the right side. Go past the ticket booth for Top of the Rock and this vestibule thing and you'll see the steps to take down to observe the skating rink. The truck is parked right there by the bottom of the steps just overlooking the skating rink. The drinks are not cheap, but I think it's a nice treat to try once. I opted for the plain hot chocolate with whipped cream scoop because I only do vegan marshmallows. To my surprise after I got my drink, I asked and they said the marshmallow ring is actually vegan! Quick line and service the hot chocolate was decadent yet not overly sweet, with the marshmallow halo providing the proper amount of balance in texture and flavor had it been summer we'd want to try the brown butter vanilla ice cream!
