Today's visit pretty much cemented the fact that GKS is the ideal dental office. I booked a super early a.m. appointment so I could knock it out soon after waking up. They are the first office that I have even known of that books as early as they do, which is ideal if you don't want an appointment looming over your day. I had two crowns done, which is a pretty significant procedure. Dr Sandhu and her assistant Grace were both amazing in their work. I got a kick out of watching the synergy as they went to town on my grill. I wasn't sure of what to expect but turned out that it was absolutely painless. I actually think I might prefer this procedure to a filling but that's neither here nor there. Dr Sandhu and her staff are the epitome of compassionate and what more could you ask for in a dentist's office? Which is often one of the most dreaded scenarios! Once you are in the habit of going, your anxiety will dissipate. I no longer associate going to the dentist with dread! How 'bout that!? I made an appt with them in the end of Feb of 2021. They said they accepted Medi-Cal when I called to make an appt. I haven't had great service with Western Dental so I was searching for a better dental place to provide the care I need. I read the Google reviews about this place, they were awesome to take me sooner & making an appt that accommodated my schedule. Then what struck me was how they called me asking to come in sooner than my expected appt time. I thought that was odd. Then they said to just drive there without telling me what time they actually needed me when I was attending to my daughter, assisting her for her zoom class. So I raced myself to my appt as soon as I could so they can still take me in and see me. Upon arrival, I was told to call when I am at the front door before coming in. After I arrived, I was greeted, told I had papers I had to fill out then went to get my x-rays. The x-rays were interesting. It was the same room as my exam room. I honestly hate putting the frames in my mouth for x-rays but they weren't so bulky & didn't give too much discomfort to make me gag. Afterwards, I was seen by the Dr. She examined me for lots of issues, lots of painful poking, she noticed & recommend I highly wear my night guard right away as she saw so many concerns and more with my teeth. In the end Medi-Cal couldn't cover the simplest things like a cleaning I needed badly since I haven't had one in over 10 yrs & I really needed a new filling since the other fell out 7 yrs ago or less.. I was sad I was told the expenses & Medi-Cal won't cover them with this dentist office. I felt so discouraged & thought I will never find a dentist in Roseville area or surrounding area close to home to get the care I need. I went through a year of 5 appts with Western Dental to get turned away for unknown reasons & then this dentist couldn't take me. So I had to keep strong & keep searching. They were able to go over the costs with me with an estimate plus they gave me a referral that will cover all costs by Medi-Cal in Sacramento. On a side note, this place plays hip hop & rap music, which I found amusing. Also, my exam room had wierd brown stains on ceiling & it looked a bit run down. Reception were passive aggressive and provider gave me false information about my dental implant that I got from another office. According to GKS dental, my dental implant was showing signs of "failing". I got it 2+ years ago and have been told everything is healed perfectly. Had to unfortunately cancel my appointment last minute due to urgent matter, receptionist said Doc puts 50$ charge on account for call offs. I told her I wouldn't be coming back. Receptionist tone wasn't appropriate "it's a consideration charge". Take your insurance/money to a warmer/welcoming place. read more

I've been unhappy with my *previous* dental clinic so I decided to search for something better. Doing a Google search turned up a few options and from what I saw on their website, GKS seemed like a possible fit. I sent them an email and Breannah was right on top of correspondence. I scheduled my appointment and although it can be difficult because my schedule is hectic, this was easy. Upon arriving, she addressed me by my name (and a warm smile = ) we chatted while I filled out the requisite paperwork. Very friendly. When I went back to meet Dr. Sandhu, she was also friendly & efficient yet thorough. I don't have many issues with my teeth but the issues I do have are chronic. She is knowledgeable and gave me some great advice and an excellent cleaning/exam. I scheduled a follow up and when I was told how much the treatment would cost, I was so pleasantly surprised. I went for a general cleaning as a new patient. The dentist said I needed to have a crown done on my back molar. I was surprised counting that my previous dentist had never mentioned anything of that in the past 6 months. I asked how much it would cost to which she said $1450. I said okay, well I will have to think about that. The dental assistant (blonde lady, can't remember her name) then tried to hard sell me on a mouth guard instead so that way I don't "bite too hard and crack my tooth". I said no thank you. I will wait for now. The tooth has never bothered me before and I would like to get a second opinion. She started getting irritated and tried to scare me by saying that it can shatter and it can get infected and then I'll need dental surgery. I was getting frustrated and she could tell. I was upset she didn't respect my decision to get a second opinion and wanted me to just pay them $1450 (which I looked up and it is EXTREMELY overpriced for what I "needed" done) The dental assistant gets up and a few minutes later she comes back and said that she needs me to sign some forms stating that I do not want the service the recommended. She had the paper flipped over and it was just a signature line and date. I said "wait what's this for again?" She again said it was for their documentation that I did not want the service. I flipped the page over and it was a FULL contract stating I AGREE to have this service done with GKS dentistry and I agree to pay $1450 for it to be completed an a bunch of fine print. I was LIVID. I said I am not signing this to which she replied "I had to and I could cross out the part where it says I agree and put I don't agree" What a joke and a SCAM! I have never had an issue with a dentist office like this before. I have never had to sign documents stating I did not want work done. I knew something was up. My family and I have just recently moved to Roseville. I have always had severe anxiety and dentophobia so I have been very bad about going in for regular cleanings. When my wisdom tooth started to come in I realized I needed to be seen. I found GKS on Google and I really appreciated how easy it was to find information on their website. I could tell right away that they would accept my insurance. I also found it very nice that I could communicate them via message and text message. It made it easier for me to describe all my issues and to be able to schedule an appointment that very same day. They have been kind, supportive, patient and efficient. The staff there are very pleasant and nice. When I met Dr. Sandhu she was very nice and professional at all times. Her office is very clean! You really want that when you go to a place that deals with bodily fluids but I totally trust their integrity. I really liked how she gave me the option of taking care of my fillings right then and there and not have to make another appointment. (Since we both had the time available). I was scared of feeling pain but Dr made me numb enough that I didn't feel any pain. Also, I was really surprised and happy that they use a resin there and not amalgam!! SUPER GREAT! Can't even tell I have fillings :D Even if my insurance changes, I will be happy to stay with this office if I can afford it. I really like her staff and how she works. I am in so much gratitude for Dr. Sandhu! For the first time in my life I left the dentist feeling really cared for and fully aware of the state of my teeth and what they needed. It was my first time there so I received the new patient examination which included a thorough examination with many pictures, a very deep cleaning and filling a few cavities. I had requested enough time to have some cavities filled that same day as I had known about them prior to my visit. She took such great care of me as if it were her own teeth being worked on. I am blown away at her precision and complete presence while she was working on my teeth. She does not cut corners or rush and comfort is her priority. She has high standards and completely raises the bar compared to other dental experiences I have had. I am in so much gratitude to be under her care. Coming to see Dr. Sandhu was the best decision, I can't say thank you enough to her team! I was waiting to write my review until I got a second opinion. So I can honestly say this dentist is AWFUL. They are just money hungry and trying to take advantage of you. They said that I need to get a crown that day for $1500 and after I said I didn't have the funds, they literally asked if there was someone I could ask to borrow the money!! They told me to give someone a call and they'll be back in a few minutes. They tried scaring me into thinking I needed it by saying my tooth would fall out if I didn't! (Mind you I had no pain, just wanted a checkup) they also said I have a lot of cavities and I would need a deep cleaning. Well I am very thankful I took my teeth elsewhere!! Come to find out I don't have ANY cavities, no rotten tooth, and I don't need a deep cleaning.. crazy right?! So if you're like me and on medi-cal (I know it can be super hard finding a decent dentist) I suggest Eureka Dental. They were so nice, open, and honest! Nothing like this place. My insurance has been denying me of a lot of work but dr. Sandhu haa gone out of her way without me asking to fight for me. To help me get what i need done. Because of it i waa approved for some of the things unfortunately my insyrance still wont approve some of it but the point is if dr.sandhu didnt care as much as she did i wouldnt been approved for any of it. I always know that her and the other people in the office always has my best intrest at heart. I cant imagine having any other dentist as long as i am living in this area. I'm new to GKS! I just moved to Roseville from the Bay Area. I had the same dentist since I was 6 years old so finding a new dentist was so scary for me! My husband found this dentist office through yelp and suggested I'd go there. I have to say Rachel made the transition to a new dentist office feel so easy! She is so nice and welcoming. She has so much knowledge when it comes to insurance! The Dr is amazing! She always makes me feel comfortable and is thorough about all the procedures I have had done.
