Been using Gizmo for years. Always responsive and fair. He is the neighborhood plumber for everything!

Steven is super nice and very honest. I had a leak at my rental property and he came right on time to check it out. He fixed the drain seal, but didn't have all the materials to finish everything. What really surprised me was that he didn't charge anything at all because he said he wasn't fully prepared. That's honestly rare these days. Really appreciate him taking the time to come out. I'll definitely call him again next time. read more

Fast, good value and did the work correctly the first time around! He explained everything well.

Steve was referred to me by a family friend, and I'm so glad I gave him a call. He's a great guy -- professional, friendly, and clearly knows his stuff. He explained everything in a way I could understand, gave me a fair and reasonable price, and really took the time to make sure the job was done right. It's hard to find someone both trustworthy and knowledgeable in this line of work, but Steve checks all the boxes. I'd definitely call him again and recommend him to anyone needing reliable service. read more

Gizmo's Drain Service - Roots in our sewer pipe - Plumbing Near Me

Steve was very knowledgeable, thorough, professional, and personable. He replaced some old pipes which were incorrectly installed and even came back a week later to follow up. Prices are very fair. Will definitely call him again if further plumbing issues arise - highly recommend him for all your plumbing needs! read more

Steve was recommended to us by a friend, and we're so glad we reached out. He's helped us with a few different plumbing issues at our house, and every time he's been responsive, reliable, and easy to work with. Steve quickly identified the problems, explained them clearly, and even gave us different options to consider before moving forward. He's down to earth, helpful, and his prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely continue calling him for future plumbing needs--highly recommend! read more

"Steven the Honest Plumber" is the nickname I gave to Steve after meeting him about 5 years ago. Steve is a great guy, and in an industry that often gets a bad reputation, he is definitely one of the good ones. I have been using Gizomo services ever since and have many happy friends and family members I referred to him. They all say the same thing about his character. Call Steve with confidence. read more

I'm so glad I found Steve using Yelp. I had a Sunday morning shower clog and all the other plumbers I contacted wanted an extra fee for coming out on the weekend. Steve responded to a quote request and not only did he not charge extra, he was available almost immediately. He showed up early, fixed my initial problem and then fixed a secondary clog for next to nothing. He cleaned up after himself and even took his shoes off at the front door. I will definitely be calling him again when I have plumbing needs. Thanks again for getting out so quickly and on a Sunday. Better than expected! read more

Steve you did it again! Knocked me off my socks when my elderly Mom backyard sprung a leak and the whole water main shut down leaving her with no water on a Sunday evening. You were there within an hour and able to repair on short notice. I cannot say enough how Steve earns the 5+ star review with his courteous, friendly, talented and caring service. As an Elite Yelp Reviewer, I high recommend Steve and he gets the job done! As we say in Hawaii, MAHALO!!! (thank you) read more

1000000000% recco. AND he's 24/7. I'd give him a billion stars if I could. Gizmo's drain service is the BEST plumber out there. He's communicative, highly knowledgeable, an excellent problem-solver, prompt, superbly clean in his work (as an Asian household, he takes off his shoes when entering your house, which is an absolute plus) AND he's the best priced plumber I've ever encountered. I will forever recommend him to any and all people and shout it from the roof tops. I'm not even slightly exaggerating here. I had a 2 week long battle with a sewer cap that got stuck in our 4 unit condo association's old corroded (never maintained) pipes. He worked hard to snake and camera multiple times, come back multiple times with different solutions, and was so patient, kind, empathetic, fair, and completely trustworthy throughout the entire time. It was mentally draining to deal with cleaning human fecal matter coming up the tubs and showers every 3 - 4 days, toilets overflowing, and uncooperative neighbors. Over that 2 week period of time, I had called multiple different plumbers to come help the situation before Steve was able to fix the issue. Every other plumber's suggestion was to break into the floors of each unit in order to take out sections of main sewer pipe. Once Steve was able to gain access to our mentally ill neighbor's front unit, he was able to push the cap out successfully and save the day. I HIGHLY recommend Gizmo's drain service. read more

The plumber I used in the past was unavailable but I'm so glad I found Steve/Gizmo's Drain Service on Yelp when my kitchen sink was clogged. He is super courteous and took off his shoes upon entering when he saw that we don't wear shoes in the house. He is honest and his prices are so reasonable. I was expecting to pay triple for a weekend repair call. I will definitely call Steve again for any plumbing needs. read more

5/5 stars or more if I could give it to him. He was helpful, nice and polite and didn't charge me anything for any consulting (he said a review here is a good enough) but I can't thank him enough. He looked at our leaking issues and quickly identified the problem. We had a poorly sealed bathroom and he told me what to do next to fix the issue. I would 10/10 use him again. Like my bathroom can blow up and pipes explode and he would be the first person that comes to mind. (I hope that day won't happen but hey I know who to call) read more

Steve is a true salt-of-the-earth type of guy. He's honest, knows what he's doing, and extremely personable. He came out to take a look at my garbage disposal. He tinkered with some weird looking tool and got it working in a flash. When I asked him how much, he just asked me for a thank you and an account of my experience with him on Yelp. I've also had him come out previously bc of a leak under my kitchen sink. He's been my go-to plumber ever since. Highly recommend. read more

Prompt service! Steve is great. My husband messaged him on Yelp, easy peasy. We had him unclog our bathtub and he also went ahead and checked our sinks and unclogged the kitchen too. We ended up having him come back the next week and replacing our toilet. He's good at explaining his estimate and advice. Recommend! read more

So, a couple of days ago, I noticed water coming up from the ground near the water shut off. I decided that since the rains of March 2023 had been at an all time high that I would keep an eye on it. After two days of no rain and the puddle of water coming up near the old sprinkler system growing larger, I came to the realization that it was time to call in a professional and this wasn't like installing a new faucet. Lol. Anyhow, I found Steve from yelp and called him up. He came by the next morning and was able to ascertain that there was a leak at the sprinkler system due to (ominous music) galvanized steel. He capped off the sprinkler as per my request and was really detailed in explaining everything to me and walking me through it which I really appreciated. When I messaged him later about advice on what I needed to do to replace an old hose spigot, he came by the following morning - double checked everything from the previous day and installed a new spigot/hose bib. He is a true mensch. Steve is a good guy through and through. He does thorough work and brings good energy with him. If you have plumbing issues or anything of that nature, I totally recommend him! Thanks, Steve!! read more

Noticed my main sewer line was backing up in to a planter this morning. Called Steve first thing. He said he was available this very afternoon. Steve was able to make it earlier than expected, which was great. He resolved the issue in about 30 mins and at a reasonable price. What more can you ask for? When you have a plumbing issue, Steve is all you need! Thanks again, Steve! read more

Steve came a day after Christmas to help unclog our kitchen and laundry drain. He's very good at what he does and knows a lot more. Explained everything in easy and simple to understand words. He said he's been doing this for 40 years or more so the depth of expertise shows in his work. He was even kind enough give me a lint trap to attach to the end of my washer hose (something I didn't know about until today lol), coz we don't really pay attention to what drains out of the washer until the drain gets clogged. I highly recommend his services. For what I paid to get the job done, I'd say it's reasonable. We already talked about another project which will need his expertise, in January. Thanks Steve! read more

Steve has literally fixed everything at our rental home from drains, to outdoor pipes, concrete work, HVAC and more. He is seriously the best and knows everything about everything when it comes to home maintenance and repairs. He is super knowledgeable, really reasonably priced, kind... most of all he's honest! Appreciate everything you've done for us! read more

Where do I even begin?? After having 10 years of various plumbing problems and using several different plumbers with prices and level of service all over the map I found Gizmo on yelp and decided to trust the good reviews and meet up with Steve. Steve was honest, straightforward and knowledgeable from the start. It was clear that he was interested in making sure our plumbing needs were taken care of for the long term and building a relationship with a customer rather than robbing us blind and moving on. Here I am weeks later with all new copper pipes and perfectly working drains. Very happy to have met Steve with Gizmo. I've also refer him to friends who have been happy with his work as well! Thank you Steve!! read more

I just had Steve resolve my drain problem on my 90 year old house. He was on time, reliable and honest. He charged me exactly what he quoted me the night before. I have had other drain service companies come out and try to sell me more services like camera and sewer location. When I told these other companies that I am an engineer who was managed multi-million dollar large sewer rehabilitation contracts they changed their tone and stopped trying to sell me additional services that I did not need. Steve fixed my sewer drain quickly and I will definitely use him in the future for all my plumbing needs. It is nice to have access to a honest and knowledgeable professional plumber. read more

Steve combines the three things I value most in a service professional... 1) he's prompt and punctual 2) his work is good and 3) he delivers with a great attitude With our first issue... He showed up when he said he would and took care of the problem. And He guaranteed the work. The problem was stubborn and came back a day later, he was quick to show up and fix it. Really quick! No charge. Problem did not come back. :) And best of all, with a great can-do attitude. Second issue... was minor. He responded quick as usual. Showed up the next day. Took care of it. Did I mention the great attitude? read more

We called Steve to add a new water line for the fridge in our new home. Along the way he discovered that the pipe he needed to work on was beyond repair and provided us a quote to do the job. We first wanted to see if it was covered by our home warranty. The warranty technician suggested the same repairs, said it was not covered and gave me a quote that was considerably higher than Steve's. I dealt with the warranty company for three days and got nowhere. Desparate for running water in our kitchen, we contacted Steve again and he was able to come out the following day to do the repairs timely and for a much lower price than quoted with the company contracted with the home warranty. He also added the line to the fridge. From my interaction with him, Steve has been professional, understanding and honest. We will definitely contact him for any future plumbing needs. read more

Extremely happy with Steve's work. He was very knowledgeable and patient. He came on time and has excellent professionalism. His pricing is fair and I felt at ease that I had someone who was experienced working on our home. I would never hesitate to use his services again. Thank you for your practical advice! read more

I had a clogged sewer line at my house. Steve answered my call late at night and let me know he was booked up for the night - as was everyone else I called. I had him come in the morning and he was prompt and affordable. He arrived right at the beginning of the time range he provided. He quickly unclogged my sewer line with only a 2" cleanout which other plumbers do not always have on hand. Steve and his partner wore masks and were polite and efficient and left my house looking like it did when they arrived. Steve provided a reasonable estimate on some possible future work without any attempt at upselling as I have received in the past. I will be a return customer for any future plumbing work. read more

Steve was awesome! He arrived bright and early, assessed the problem and got it done in a half hour. I was dreading what it might cost to fix our dishwasher leak but he was super reasonable! I was extremely happy with his work! read more

Very professional and did excellent work. This is the second time I've hired them and will stick with them whenever I have plumbing issues

Steve came out promptly and charged me fairly for a 15 minute fix, that another fellow was gonna rip me off and charge me quadruple the price. Shop round folks, but gizmo Stephanie most definitely is a good act to call on! read more

Got a huge garbage disposal leak and wanted it replaced immediately; I got my 10+ years use out of it. Found Steve on Yelp, called him, answered, set up appointment for the next morning, gave me a reasonable quote for labor only and had my sink back to normal in less than 24 hours!! Friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely call again for any/all plumbing repairs. read more

Called Steve for a jammed garbage disposal and he got the job done within an hour of my call. Really knowledgeable and a nice guy. Also, very considerate as he arrived wearing a mask and removed his shoes at the front door. Don't waste time or $ on larger plumbing companies, this is the guy to call. Will absolutely hire again. read more

I keep a rental home in Alhambra while living in Oregon. When an issue came up there, Steve was the logical choice as his reviews show. He responded quickly and his prices are fair! He's clean and efficient and took care of the problem which gave me satisfaction of a job well done! read more

I've never had such an honest service provider help me with my home's plumbing. Not only was Steve prompt and professional, he told me exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem. Unfortunately the project involved more than just fixing a pipe, but Steve offered suggestions and recommendations on how to get the job done. The thing that really blew me away was he didn't charge a service fee for spending more than 30 minutes trying to diagnose the problem. Most companies will charge you just to come out. That's really great service and I couldn't recommend them more. read more

I started with a yelp estimate request and Steve replied right away. Gave an estimate to my description and made an appointment to come the next morning. He arrived on time, slightly early in fact! He asked questions, got right to work, and fixed it. Price was the same as the estimate because he fixed what we described. On top of that he gave us a lot of very good advice on general home maintenance. Not only have we found a plumber that can fix our current problem, but we found our forever plumber!! Thank you Steve!! read more

After reviewing several nearby plumbing services, I decided to use Gizmo Drain Service. I spoke to Steve and he was on time (early) and honest. He started work immediately and was knowledgeable about what to do. He explained the situation and the cause. He fixed the problem quickly and gave me a 30 day warranty on his service. If you are looking for someone who is honest, professional, and reasonably priced, use Gizmo's. I'm probably shooting myself in the foot because I foresee that his business will grow, and then I will have a hard time booking his service in the future, but Steve deserves this review. I will definitely use his services for my future needs. read more

I would give Gizmo Drain Service 10 stars if I could!! He is so kind, patient, and honest. I thought my garbage disposal had broken so I called him and he was very easy to talk to and schedule. He showed up on time with the parts I requested and was ready to install my new garbage disposal. However he took one look at it and told me how to simply fix my problem and taught me how to reset it if I ever ran into the issue again so I didn't need to call a plumber next time. He was so patient with me and walked me through some issues I thought I had with my drains around the house. Simply put, I did not really need any plumbing services, just some basic knowledge about drains and how to maintain it and remedy small issues. In the end he did not even want to charge me and was happy to offer his knowledge. I really appreciate his honesty and suggestions to save me time and money. It's really refreshing to know that there are businesses out there that do honest work and don't take advantage of young homeowners who don't know much about plumbing. I will definitely use him if I run into any future issues and highly recommend him. Thank you so much again! read more

Steve is the best. I've used him several times in the past and he has always helped me out bigtime. My issue today was a clogged kitchen sink that was so backed up it was causing water to come out into my bathtub. I called Steve and explained the problem. He couldn't come for a few days, but we set an agreed upon time and he showed up right on time. He was polite and very honest and knowlegable about what was wrong. He explained everything in great detail and answered all of my questions. He snaked the line, which cleared everything up. He also explained how my pipes are very old and would eventually need to be replaced, but he didn't put any pressure on me and allowed me to decide when I can afford to do that. His prices are always very reasonable, which really helps us out considering the tough financial situatiuon we are in. He even gave me a 30 day guarentee and said he would snake the line for free if this happened again within 30 days. No question I will use him again for any plumbing problems I have. read more

This is the first time we used his service. Steve came even earlier than the appointed time. He was very professional, friendly and honest. He fixed the main problem on the leaking kitchen sink, he fixed the minor intermittent leak on the toilet and he adjusted the slightly noisy shower door. All in less than half hour and the great thing about all this, is that he did NOT charged for the jobs, Amazing!! He just wanted to hear " Thank You !!" You have our sincere gratitude, Steve! I highly recommend him on any plumbing job. read more
