I am very happy with the great care and service from give a dog a bone. They've been reliable, attentive to detail and really know dogs. You can tell its in their blood. They just have a deep canine understanding.
Being in Rosslyn, I'm glad they're able to help out in a pinch if need be. My schedule is very unpredictable some times. At times, I have to work really late. And its great I can just call them up and they are there to save the day.
With other companies I've seen elsewhere, they really nickel and dime you. They charge you all kinds of fees and have hard to understand contracts. This company is very straight forward so my bill is never a surprise. Which believe me, helps a lot. Its great not to have to bring out a calculator to see my bill.
And also in this tech world, they are always reachable. With other companies I've used in other areas, one is lucky to receive a phone call back in 2 - 5 hours. That's just how some companies are. But give a dog a bone is very good at contacting back a lot of times in less than 2 minutes.
I know one of the "well-known" companies I contacted, wanted to charge me extra fees because I couldn't offer my parking spot. I would have offered my parking spot. But I couldn't because I had to leave my car. Since my job was making me take this work trip. Therefore, I had no parking spot to offer. And I told give a dog a bone, they would have to find meter parking and that it would be difficult at night to find parking. They said that they were used to it and that it was a small sacrifice to keep me happy.
I also liked how they asked me about street parking. A few of the other companies, didn't even ask me about parking. It was nice to see dog a bone had the experience to ask me about parking. Its shows that they've been around the block and doing this for some time. That's a nice plus.
I've traveled all over the world. And believe me, getting things organized for your little furball is not always an easy thing to do.
My dog walker at give a dog a bone has been amazing. They've always been able to help out in a pinch. I'm also glad that its been the same walker for 2 years now. I have neighbors who have other dog walking companies and they are always changing walkers. Like every 3 months. I'm glad that's not been the case for me, because Maddie would not love seeing new people all the time, takes a while for Maddie to get used to people. So that is another big help.
I used to have another dog a long time ago, named Frank, back at that time, I used to work from home and would walk my dog at the same time as other dog walkers. I would meet many colorful personalities that were always a treat to talk to. And knowing my dog walker, I know they are in the same mold. They really love their dogs!
My only criticism of dog a bone would be that it be nice if it was just a tad more economically feasible. But I understand, since everyone's else prices are pretty much the same. So all other things being rather equal, you'll be very happy with give a dog a bone. They've been great! read more
