He has been my father's cardiologist for the past couple of months and we are beyond pleased with him. He is very through with all of his patients and spends a great deal of time explaining, listening, and being present with his patients. I didn't realize doctors like him existed anymore! At the end of each visit with my dad, he makes sure we understand the plan of care and we are in agreement. His office staff are very pleasant and a good representation of the practice he runs. For a couple years, I had intermittent abdominal pain. MRI showed gallstones. Primary care…read morereferred me to Dr. Gupta. One reviewer refers to Dr. Gupta as a woman. No, Dr. Subhash Gupta is a man. He's a nice guy. I rate his practice 2 stars because he's nice and did provide some good advice to me. However, I felt he put me at unnecessary risk. MRI showed I had an inflamed gallbladder. He advised me there was no emergency as long as I ate right! My primary thought I should go to the ER ASAP but he disagreed. My gallbladder was a ticking time bomb. Meanwhile, his staff scheduled me for an endoscopy and colonoscopy at North Broward Hospital for 4 weeks out because Dr. Gupta was going on vacation and unavailable to operate until his return. I asked if his partner could operate instead. They said, "no because you are a patient of Dr. Gupta." Meanwhile, I saw on the North Broward website that they don't take my insurance. I called Dr. Gupta's office and told them. His assistant disagreed and claimed North Broward did accept my insurance. Two weeks later, another assistant called me back to tell me I was right and they were wrong regarding my insurance at North Broward! She then scheduled the partner of Dr. Gupta to operate on me after initially denying my request for that substitution. His partner performed the procedures at HCA Northwest in Margate. Then, my gallbladder surgeon requested I provide him with color images of the endoscopy. I visited the office staff of Dr. Gupta. The office manager claimed that HCA Northwest only provides black and white, not color, images. I relayed that information to my surgeon's assistant. She denied that and said HCA Northwest did send to the surgeon the color images which the office manager of Dr. Gupta claimed did not exist. After gallbladder surgery, Dr. Gupta scheduled several post-op follow-up consultations with me. His staff charged me $133 per visit. However, I noticed that my insurance company noted that my out-of-pocket should have been only $111 per visit. I met with the office manager again. She claimed that Medicare allowed them to charge me $133. I told her I'm not on Medicare yet. She claimed that's irrelevant. I complained to my insurance company. The insurance company agreed with me. We both tried to contact the office manager for weeks. I said I would cancel my next consult with Dr. Gupta unless they refunded me the difference. She did not reply so I canceled my final appointment. Their outsourced billing clerk told my insurance company that he had no access to my $133 receipt records issued me by the in-office staff. They actually asked me to provide receipts issued by their own office staff to me to corroborate how much I had paid! The left arm doesn't communicate with the right arm there. Finally, they refunded me only after the insurance company fought for me.

And for him to actually be afraid of a woman Dr is beyond horrible. And the reviews I've read about this Dr is scary as hell. Woman are bringing their children in for vaccines, trusting this woman and after what I heard id keep looking. I got to Dr Alan Gittman on Fed and Sample who take Human and does pain management and hes my primary who has been my dr for 15 years. And hes fantastic. He doesn't do vaccines but my pharmacy does called garden off of prospect and they are fantastic there. No appointment necessary for vaccines and no charge.
