He has been my father's cardiologist for the past couple of months and we are beyond pleased with him. He is very through with all of his patients and spends a great deal of time explaining, listening, and being present with his patients. I didn't realize doctors like him existed anymore! At the end of each visit with my dad, he makes sure we understand the plan of care and we are in agreement. His office staff are very pleasant and a good representation of the practice he runs. I would highly recommend Dr Sheikh for any of your cardiology needs.

If you cannot wait in the office please let the office know that you are on a tight schedule and to pick a slot that doesn't get too backed up. I've experienced both on time appointments and appointments an hour late. If you are sick and need an appointment right away I have found that she tries to squeeze you in. In some cases this is great if you're sick, but can adversely affect the current appointments for that day For me, it's more important to find a doctor who will prescribe needed orders and medications than wait times. So I've just managed expectations on that front. I understand some others may feel different.

She doesn't just give you the 15 minute obligatory visit she listens she takes her time and does whatever she can to help. She caught something I had very early on and if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have had a chance get into a program which had a very short time Window to help me.. It wasn't obviously apparent what was wrong she gave me every test she could to find out how to help me. Her entire office is so efficient so kind so empathetic and so helpful. I never felt like a patient , always had issues for simplistic refills and was put in a very dangerous position by Meagan with a med that had been prescribed to me for over 20 years , she stated she would NOT refill I would need to seek other assistance when I was literally having panic attacks with no meds. I truly believe they have "god complex's" and should not be practicing . I called to make an appointment with a cardiologist and Tasha first told me that the cardiologist did not treat cholesterol issues! . Then she said that they did not take my insurance. When I explained that even if HC was not in my network I could go to any medical facility and my insurance would reimburse me. She switched me to Melissa in the MD's office who was even worse than Tasha. She had major attitude and refused to give me an appointment but gave me the number for the billing dept 954-351-4702 ( in case anyone else needs help) Phyllis in billing confirmed that my insurance was ok and pulled up records of my previous visits. She called the MD's office and they did not answer. I feel sorry for people who are ill and trying to get medical care from this organization. Go to Broward health where in my opinion they act like professionals.
