To be candid, I have never considered to review any of my doctors before, as I have only seen them for as little time that it takes for a star to shoot across a dark night's sky. BUT... that is until I met with Dr. Cheatham and his office. The office takes walk-ins without making you feel that you need to get at the back of the bus. I was courteously greeted by the receptionist who took my insurance information and co-pay. There were several other patients waiting, but I was amazed at the speed and efficient effort of the nurses to bring them into the back office. Withing 30 minutes of my arrival, I was brought to the back and the nurse took my vitals and was very thorough in gathering the exact details of my symptoms, medical history, medications, etc. Fortunately, I rarely get sick because I hate being in a doctor's office. The nurse that I initially met with made this nervous guy feel very much at ease. I could hear the doctor joking with a patient as they were exiting through the hallway. The sound of his voice gave me peace of mind. When the doctor came in, the nurse updated him about my medical issue, and then he sat down to talk to me. That's right. He sat down. Most doctors remain on their feet blasting through the office like a meteor shower. Dr Cheatham read the notes in the file, asked me questions, and not only took an interest in my illness, but he took an interest in who I was, my occupation, team sports, college, etc. I felt like a person and not just another patient moving through the medical mill. He is either a funny guy or I caught him on a good day because he is humorous and does not possess the God-like attitude that is typical of most doctors that I have met. I was quite impressed with Dr. Cheatham's knowledge of homeopathic remedies and alternatives to the usual budget busting prescription that I typically walk out of a medical office with. Dr. Cheatham took his time to explain my ailment, gave me some of my options, and took his time to make certain I did not have any other questions before he departed the examining room. I am writing this review a few weeks after my initial visit because I am amazed at the results of the homeopathic treatment that he prescribed. I went back for a follow up visit, (another co-pay, but that's Obama Care for ya) and he again took the time to discuss the change in my condition, questions, and did not leave the room until all of my questions were answered. I am simply amazed at how I was treated like a person, and not just a patient. I noticed that he does Botox treatments and I was impressed by how much cheaper his price was compared to where my wife has it done. (Personally, I am not one to have a needle stuck in my head, but my wife thinks differently.) In conclusion, this may be the one-and-only doctor review that I ever write because I hope that I never have the need for a different doctor. This review is honest and unsolicited just like any of my other reviews. Sometimes you need to throw a bone to somebody when they go way beyond the call of duty. Hats off to Dr. William Cheatham!! read more
