During a routine 6-month physical, staff performed an EKG. Shortly after, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) informed me that I was actively having a myocardial infarction (a heart attack) and ordered me to rush to the ER. In a state of total panic, I went straight to Baptist Health ER, where they initiated full cardiac protocols, including blood work, x-rays, and monitoring. After a terrifying 45-minute wait, the ER physician reviewed the paperwork brought from Dr. Stein's office and discovered a glaring error: the second page of the report explicitly stated that the EKG leads had been placed on the wrong side of my body. It was a false positive caused entirely by staff incompetence. When I called the practice to report this, the NP was incredibly dismissive, stating, "My bad, I don't read those interpretation notes." I spoke with the Office Manager, who promised that she and Dr. Stein would follow up with me. It has now been two weeks. I have received zero follow-up, no apology, and they haven't even called to give me my routine blood work results. As a cancer survivor, regular blood monitoring is critical to my ongoing health. To completely ignore a patient after a traumatizing, costly, and entirely avoidable ER scare is unacceptable. Please be warned and protect your health--avoid this practice.

There are now much better options in the area…read more Not only will you get a rushed 5 min consultation where you have to have your questions ready to blur out before the doctor is out the door but also NOTHING you share will be private between you and the doctor. Their ipads records everything and it will transcribe every single minutia detail in your medical history including concerns or questions you have and will write things down without actually formally diagnosing you. Their lab test for hormones is not only inaccurate but they charge you "preferential cash" for it, when you can get your own full hormones panel at quest for $100+ less! My testosterone levels were imcredibly low and the doctor dismissed it as perimenopause without blinking. When I brought my results to an actual OBGYN, it took him 2 seconds to see the test was done incorrectly as the results showed the hormone levels of a DEAD person.... This can have serious consequences if you start things like testosterone / hormone therapy (when not even needed!) and will come back to bite when you are looking for life insurance and you will have to do unnecessary follow-ups to get coverage. Compassion and empathy are not the way of the practice - this is a pure factory money grab experience. Try the new baptist health primary care office for professionalism and association with an actual hospital instead of a place that pushes their tests, vitamins etc..

I didn't realize he had been an ER doc for years, and then a family doctor. I now see him for my primary care, and he knows what he is doing. He takes the time to answer questions and is respectful. He does not charge thousands of dollars as a "concierge" doctor. Concierge medicine here is a scam, and it is hard to find a doctor not doing that. Doc Moulavi does have a lot of cosmetic procedures and products for sale, which is fine. Perhaps that helps him make up for not gouging patients for medical care, I don't know. But I do really appreciate him.

After ten plus years with Dr P doctors do not return phone calls and the receptionists are now giving medical advice. Receptionists are rude and if you ask for an opinion other then theirs they hang up on you. Since Dr. P is out of the office their is no oversight on office matters. I am not paying for the receptionists medical opinion and that seems to be all you get as of late! After ten wonderful years with Dr P I am considering leaving due to these issues. I am deeply saddened and hope Dr P is well. At this time you cannot speak to Dr. P rather plan on getting medical advice from the rude main receptionist as well as being blocked from having any conversation with an actual psy professional! Again Dr P is absolutely wonderful but you are no longer working with him. In short plan on getting your medical advice from the receptionist not the doctors at this time! I am deeply disappointed over losing my excellent relationship with this most wonderful doctor and I sincerely hope he is well. As of this date, several days after requesting a call from a doctor....I am still waiting! I have only had this bad experience once before from the same receptionist years ago and Dr. P addressed the matter promptly. The transition was seamless, and I'm so grateful to have found such an excellent primary care provider. Although Alexandra Jones is not an MD, she is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), and I honestly wouldn't want anyone else as my primary care provider. I see specialists for basically everything, so having a primary who is compassionate, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and truly attentive is what matters most to me. She never makes appointments feel rushed, takes the time to really listen, and always makes me feel comfortable and cared for. It's also very easy to get an appointment when needed, which I really appreciate.
