I was not impressed with my visit to this office. I first noticed they recently hired a new front…read moredesk receptionist that had the most distracting makeup on. It was awful... the brows about scared me.. thick & high up!! Bless her. She was new and learning so I was patient. I did noticed that the clinic needs to be organized, decluttered, and a thorough clean. A little updating would not hurt either. After being taken back the medical assistant draws my blood and I don't see her again.. the poor NP student was the one that had to enter all of my history & medication into the EMR system. I felt so bad for her. They know that the medical assistant should have had that taken care of before the NP student came to see me. I felt they were taking advantage of her like many employers do to students on internships. The NP student was very kind. She was very knowledgeable. She's the first to ever mention an issue that has been looked over by physicians for years. She was great. Dr. Stoll walks in after my time with the NP with samples of new medication to give me. I kindly declined them... no thanks to new medication I didn't ask for nor needed to change. She seemed as if she trusted the NP (which I did too) and so there wasn't much to the visit with Dr. Stoll. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I do not want to seek care there again... I want to establish care at a more organized and clean clinic. A little more professional too.

Dr. Vidwans has been my GP for a while now. He is, hands down, one of the most knowledgeable and…read morecompassionate physicians I've seen, (worked with A LOT of docs for years at NIH). He answers all questions, listens to concerns and provides clear feedback. Most importantly, he allows you to make your own healthcare decisions. The office staff are knowledgeable and accommodating. I think Dr. Vidwans is great, and am thankful to have such a good doctor!

Within seconds after meeting Rohina Ahmed, I was uncomfortable with having her as my care provider…read more I became more uncomfortable as the exam proceeded. By the end of the appointment I made sure I would not deal with her again. Let me explain. I am 78 years old. I felt a lump in my right armpit a couple of months ago. I then phoned the personal physician I had for many years before moving. He asked if the lump was painful. It wasn't. He said I needed to see my current health care provider immediately. For starters, I would need blood work and a diagnostic mammogram. I then called my current health care provider, Arlington Medical Associates, to make an appointment. After explaining the symptoms to the office manager, I was scheduled to see Rohina Ahmed, a Nurse Practitioner. The office manager put a note on my records, "Lump in Armpit." Rohina Ahmed entered the exam room, apologizing for being late. Apparently she hadn't noticed the note on my file. "You're here for a follow-up visit. Right?" "Mm - no I have a lump in my right armpit." Rohina then started to rapidly go through my records, at the same time asking if cancer ran in my family. It did. Of course, it was in my records, but she clearly hadn't read my records until that very moment. I then expected her to ask if I had any symptoms like night sweats, fatigue, etc. She didn't. Instead she began going through my chart and mentioned that maybe I needed a thyroid test. She then noted that I hadn't had a colonoscopy in 10 years. At this point I decided to cut to the chase. I said I had previously spoken with a physician. He said I needed 2 things immediately: blood work and a diagnostic mammogram. Rohina asked me to wait a moment. She went in to consult with a physician in the medical practice. When she returned, she said we could proceed with a Routine Mammogram, and a Thyroid Test. I immediately walked into Dr. Vidwan's office, uninvited, and explained the situation. Dr. Vidwans edited Rohina's proposed directive. The thyroid test was scratched. The "routine mammogram screening" was changed to "a diagnostic mammogram." Dr. Vidwans then ordered my blood to be drawn immediately at the office so it could be sent in that day for testing by a lab. In short, my experience with Rohina Ahmed was that she came late. She hadn't a clue why I had made the appointment. She hadn't done her homework by reviewing my records. And she ordered tests that were not specifically relevant to my condition.

When I was visiting his office about 12 years ago, I sat next to a patient in the waiting room. He was an older white man with a thick German accent. I was a 20 something black woman probably reading a gossip magazine or playing a game on my phone. On the surface we had nothing to talk about or in common. But as time and boredom grew, we struck up a conversation. I commented about his cool accent and that I was hoping to travel to Germany one day. He shared Germany was a wonderful place but that he didn't travel back often. As the conversation continued, he eventually shared that he had been a German solider in World War II. That even now (2013) he felt that the media was always trying to separate people. He had trusted what he saw and learned the hard way that we all have more in common than we don't. I knew what he meant by saying he was a German solider in WWII and I had NEVER expected to ever meet someone that had fought for Germany during that time, let alone disclose it. I had always made monsters of the people I read about in history books. I also, never thought about the humanity and wisdom of someone that had believed something at one point in their life and had changed. "We should have nothing in common, but look at us. We could talk all day." I have never forgotten his vulnerability and candor. I think about this interaction a lot. I wish I had had the foresight to have recorded it. I believe it would have been impactful as a reminder that we are all vulnerable to our echo chambers and to challenge what divides us. If this man was your father, granddad, uncle or friend and he's still alive, tell him thank you and ask him to scream his wisdom from the roof tops. I'll forever be grateful for that conversation. Dr. And Mrs. Prinz, I hope you are enjoying your retirement. Thanks for the long wait times. I would have never expected small talk on. Friday afternoon to not only become a lasting memory but continue to shape my perspective over a decade later. Sincerely, Former Sales Rep

In particular, my practitioner missed a hematoma on my leg and necrotic tissue, which then required me to go to an emergency room in another state who then successfully diagnosed what was going on and rebuilt the tissue in my leg over the course of months. The practitioners will ask you annually if you're experiencing feels of depression, and then will do absolutely nothing about it even if you ask for help. In fact, in my last interaction, I said why do you ask this? And was told by Ms. Bowman so that she could follow up. When I then said, and do you ever follow up, she said, "no.". The final straw was a prescription I needed reauthorization for, since I had moved to another insurance. My first request went unanswered for three weeks. When I followed up, the next message was ignored for another two weeks. When I got a call from the office, I asked what that appeal included, and they wouldn't tell me, and just insisted "it included everything." In a conversation with Ms. Bowman, it was clear my entire medical history was NOT included in the insurance authorization. As I said, the medical care has plummeted in recent year, and I can no longer recommend this practice. Whether they are overloaded or what, I can't say, but you will not receive good care here.
