Great Doc and interesting to talk to. He did not rush me and answered all of my questions.

Record your interactions with the people in the ER…read more DO NOT GO TO THE ER HERE AT ALL if you can. It's a money grab. I was told by a doctor named Steven Chen that he wasn't going to help someone like me. Who is like me? Waited 3 hrs for help and was treated like an animal once I wanted to expose the way I was getting treated. The nurses demanded I leave and didn't want to help once Chen said something to them. I never yelled or was angry. I just said i was going to record them. They WILL ADD THEIR OWN OPINIONS AND HOW THEY FEEL ONTO YOUR MEDICAL RECORDS. NO FACTS OR PROOF NEEDED. Chen even put in my medical notes. I was highly upset because I didn't get high-level medication. After the fact, he said what he said to me and threw my papers in my lap and walked out. After not getting assistance for 2 hours.. he was more upset i was going to record him. Way more than me being neglected and talked down to. Trying to cover his own actions, falsifying my medical records to make it look like it's about medication and not his neglect as a doctor, along with his unnecessary comments. I said multiple times that I just needed help at that moment. He even pressed on my injured area 3 times and saw my pain. Why hurt your patient and not even do anything to help. I felt like he didn't see me as human, especially when the nurse came and just pulled my iv out of my arm and said, "You need to leave. ".. NO hi or are you okay.. just yanks my iv out, and i need to leave. Idk why I even had an IV to start.. no one told me what was happening, and one nurse told me to shhh when I asked questions about my x-rays. I'm at the ER for a reason, I needed HELP. Couldn't manage the pain on my own any longer. When I asked for pain relief, "You're not getting it from me," Is what Chen said. I asked for another doctor, and he leaned back against the counter, crossed his legs, laughs, and said he was the only. You can tell he enjoyed having power over my pain. They are not here to help US. On top of that, Brian Miller from INOVA compliance department calls so I can make a statement to INOVA and says, " Well, what do you want me to do about it?" Its like no one wants to do their job. They don't care about "people like me" I'm trying to figure out still, who's like me? Who do I need to be to get help?.. it's scary that doctors don't have to actually help and they can say what they want and get away with it. RECORD NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY..they don't want you to because they are acting very foul there.

You really need to do something about some of the people who work behind the desk on the second…read morefloor, medical office and downstairs (emergency/xray area) because their tone and attitude comes off as disrespectful and not so nice. It is a health facility. I went upstairs to the office and people were sitting and one woman was standing on a blue floor circle waiting for one of two female staffer behind the window to take their name and reason for the visit. One staffer was helping a woman and had to verbalize to the staffer closest to the entry door to the office a few times that I was standing there and waiting. I am tall and hard to miss. It gave the impression that she did not want to help me, especially when I noticed how she rapidly helped other people who came in and stood on one of the two blue circles (helps with socially distancing I believe). Also, I had to go downstairs to get an Xray and was visibly in discomfort, yet one of the female staffers behind a window made me walk over a few times (different counters) and then told me to sign in on the other side, etc. I got the impression that she did not want to do her job and could care less if someone is in pain or not.

He is in all ways a professional, and a forward thinking one at that. Excellent bedside manner, personality, and a depth of knowledge to draw upon which breeds well founded confidence amongst his patients. If you are looking for a personal physician, or help with weight loss, you should contact his office. You'll be glad you did.

Dr. Posner went a step further after becoming an internist. He went through rigorous continuing education to earn his diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine certification, which is only awarded to internal medicine physicians who continue their education and training while in practice. Generally when you're under the care of an internist, you won't need to see any other types of doctors for routine care. Internal medicine physicians, like Dr. Posner, are highly trained at diagnosing even the most complex of health issues. During your visit, he will gather information about your health, and family medical history and discuss any symptoms you're having, or concerned about. It's typical to order some basic lab work, especially if you're just getting set up as a new patient. He might order additional tests if further clarification with any diagnosis is needed. Once he diagnoses medical issues, if any at all, he'll be the one treating you. Or if you have a chronic health condition, like diabetes or high cholesterol, he will teach you how to manage it and prescribe any medications you need. Your primary care physician is an essential partner in your efforts to stay healthy. Even if you never get sick, you still need to see your PCP once a year, just to have screenings done for chronic conditions that may not show any signs.
