Anytime I need Jodi's help, she's so responsive, we connect within hours, if not minutes. We've worked with Jodi for going on 4 years. Specifically for us, this past year we had to part ways with one of our au pairs and Jodi helped us navigate the situation as frictionless as possible. What's also really important is that when the year is up and it's time to find a new au pair, Jodi also always connects us with good au pairs -- her suggestions have been our most successful matches (vs when we've just chosen off of profiles and interviews). And if all of this werent enough, Jodi is of course, great with the au pairs themselves. All in all, Jodi's a tremendous resource and coach to all of us ladies* (host moms and au pairs alike) in coaching us through life skills of communication, expectations setting, and management. Thank you, Jodi! * and yes there are host dad's and bro-pairs, but for us it's always been ladies.

Initially I was looking for a daycare within walking distance of my house but I wasn't happy with the ones I visited. Vicky's is well worth the ten to fifteen minute commute. My daughter started here when she was 6 months old and now is 28 months and about to leave for preschool. I don't think she has every cried--she is totally comfortable there and proud of her "school." She just walks right in and doesn't look back at me. It's rare to find a daycare where all the teachers seem steady and experienced. Here Andrea and Arturo are a great leadership team and Haydee and Sara are wonderful too. I believe the same team has been there more or less since the beginning, and there is always a 1:3 ratio. Arturo and Andrea keep it very well organized and the daily email updates on my daughter's activities and food, sleep, and diapers are nice to get. Arturo has been very responsive to my questions on email as well when I wanted to know more about how Elena acts at school. I pick my daughter up early pretty often and sometimes come late without announcing ahead of time, so I get a picture of how things are at different times of day. They have a very rich variety of activities, including yoga, exercise, circle time with singing, art projects, and outdoor play. There is also a lot of variety in the toys, which are well chosen. The day is structured and predictable for the kids, and the kids do amazingly well complying with the group naptime, sitting at the table as expected, allowing their hair to be brushed, etc. My daughter loves being around the babies and the older kids as well--the age range really makes it a rich social experience. They speak mostly Spanish to the children with some English words thrown in when they need to clarify. The kids speak to each other in English for the most part, but my daughter says a few words and sings songs in Spanish, and she shows me that she understands when I speak to her in Spanish (which I should do more often!) Vicky's is very easy on the parents. Pickup and dropoff are friendly, warm times of the day with very little in the way of stuff to hand back and forth. This is a big contrast to how it was for me with my older son at two other family daycares. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter at Vicky's in good hands, and I feel supported by the teachers. Thank you, Vicky's!

Knowing she has many school years ahead, I wanted to give her one more year free from rigid schedules and structure. When I was searching for preschools last year, I worried about whether she would be okay without me--whether her needs would be met, and whether her voice would be heard. I was concerned that, as the youngest in a mixed-age group, she might be pushed around or overlooked. I wanted play to stay at the center of her days, with her choosing where her interests took her. Glenridge eased all of my concerns. They have an incredible focus on guiding children through social interactions. Even though she was the youngest, and her voice was soft at times, the parents in the classroom are trained to observe, narrate conflicts, and help them resolve issues on their own. And when words fail, we give them the language they need. Glenridge isn't just a place where kids are cared for--it's a place where they truly develop and thrive.

I am so, so glad we gave our kiddo another year of play and hikes into the canyon with friends rather than stricter school environment. Granted, we're fortunate that I am flexible and able to ferry him in and out, and work during the parent shifts-- and I know that can be a big lift for some families. But I hope you'll consider Glenridge, take the tour, etc if you're curious about coops. It's been fulfilling, beautiful, hard, challenging and more. And I'm so grateful for the amazing parents and friends we've made. And I don't want to let go of Jessie! thank you Glenridge.

Ms. Gita, Ms. Nita, Ms. Rita, and Ms. Sonia are nothing short of amazing - they are attentive, caring, and truly dedicated to the well-being and development of every child. Even though this place is advertised as a daycare, Ms. Gita follows a Montessori curriculum, which is thoughtfully designed to engage young minds and foster a love of learning. My child has thrived in this environment, eagerly participating in activities that are both educational and fun. The balance of structured learning and creative play has been perfect for their growth and development. What truly sets Ms. Gita's daycare apart is the incredible bond the teachers form with the children. It's heartwarming to see my son run into the arms of their teachers each morning, excited for the day ahead. They cook all their meals from scratch, and my son has proudly announced to me, multiple times, that "Ms. Gita is the best cooker in the world." The genuine affection and enthusiasm the staff have for their jobs shine through in every interaction. They have truly treated my child as their own, given him all their love and attention, showered him with gifts on his birthday and a few Indian festivals they celebrate, accepted and delivered meal requests from the kiddo, and took upon the onus of potty training him (and succeeded in doing so in 2 days) without us even asking them to. Parents can feel at ease knowing their children are in such capable and loving hands. Our kiddo has a severe tree nut allergy, and Ms. Gita is an expert when it comes to maintaining a nut-free, sesame-free facility. The communication between the daycare and parents is also fantastic - I always feel informed and involved in my child's progress and daily experiences. In short, Little Angels Daycare is a gem of a daycare. Our entire family loves Ms. Gita and her staff. The attentive and wonderful teachers, excellent curriculum, and the joy it brings to my child make it an easy choice for any parent looking for top-notch childcare. Highly recommend!
