We ordered two Sicilian Caesar salads, both of which were initially served without chicken. After bringing this to the staff's attention, a small container of chicken was brought out and presented as sufficient for both salads. When I asked how many ounces it contained, the staff member said she did not know. I then pointed out that the portion seemed inadequate for two salads and pressed her to bring additional chicken. She eventually did so, albeit somewhat reluctantly. Once added to the salads, the chicken itself was cold and comparable in quality to prepackaged sandwich-shop chicken. At no point was there an apology for the mistakes or inconvenience. The overall operation also seemed poorly thought out. The dishes left out for customer use were soaking wet, and there appeared to be only one salt shaker and one pepper shaker available for the entire restaurant. Customers are expected to carry their plates to the condiment station in order to season their food, a system that seems impractical and likely to create congestion once the restaurant becomes busy. Even basic details felt overlooked. The to-go pizza boxes available for customers are not properly sized for the restaurant's standard 12-inch pizzas. We ordered the Americano pizza, and despite it being the regular version, it lacked flavor and spice. The crust was extremely thin and flimsy, resembling a frozen grocery store pizza rather than a freshly made restaurant pizza. The restaurant appears to be pursuing a trendy, cafeteria-style concept that shifts as much responsibility as possible onto the customer. Rather than feeling modern or efficient, the approach comes across as cheap and low quality. The service atmosphere was equally disappointing. The one manager I observed made eye contact with me several times but never smiled, greeted us, or appeared welcoming. Instead, she seemed uncomfortable and disengaged, which did little to create a positive dining experience. We genuinely looked forward to this restaurant's opening and wanted it to succeed. Unfortunately, based on our experience, we will not be returning.
