Classic deep dish personal size (pepperoni, onions, mushrooms, and green onions)

It was fine, service was fun and fast. The deep dish was a little overrated but as a tourist I don't regret trying it. Second time around, however, I'll try the Chicago tavern style like the locals do.

Stars next door on a trip. Needed food and don't love Chicago style pizza, but figured should have it while in town. Lots of seating and friendly staff. Had a more meat pizza. Takes about :45 min, so it's plenty of time to watch sports on the tv. Definitely very good pizza, will be back.

This time we got the pizza for carry out since we had 30 minutes to get our rental car back but 3 hours till our flight home. As always you get exactly what you are expecting. A light flaky crust. Nice chewy and slightly salty cheese with a nice pepperoni and fresh mushrooms. Add the slightly spicy and tangy tomato sauce and you get a well balanced pizza. Would I get this more than maybe once a month. No. One other thing. If you order anything smaller than a medium I think you get too much crust.

Not a bad introduction to deep dish pizza. Expect a long wait for any pizza. We came in for lunch and despite ordering personal pizzas, the entire experience neared 2 hours. The lunch special included a salad and personal pizza, both serving sizes were big enough for 2. There were also desserts offered that weren't on the menu. *Lunch Special: the personal pizza came with four slices and we chose sausage as our topping. The tomato sauce was sweet and there was a good amount of lean sausage distributed throughout. There was a generous layer of cheese which stretched long and wide. The crust was underwhelming however. There was a decent crunch but it was overly dry with little flavor. The Caesar salad was chilled and crisp. Nothing too extraordinary about the dressing or croutons but it was well balanced. *Cannoli: huge deconstructed cannoli. The creamy filling was on the grainier side with a raw sugar aftertaste. The fried dough was stale so it took multiple attempts for me to bite through. While the size and concept were good, the execution was not tasty. Very affordable lunch specials but the flavors could have been more developed. Doughs seem to be Giordano's weak spot, which is unfortunate for a pizza chain.

Since we were in the area, we had to try the deep dish pizza. We were thankful that we got seated right away (not like the 2 hour wait at Giordano's at Navy Pier). Our server was so friendly, helpful, and humorous. We loved him! He even knew how to take the best photos. The Caesar salad and Italian Beef Sandwich came out quickly. So good. The Chicago Classic pizza takes time to come out. (About an hour) So be prepared to wait because they make it fresh. No complaints though. There are lots of tables and a bar at this shop. Parking is okay, but people were circling during dinner time.

Been here twice now. I had Tommy as a waiter. He's awesome. I thought i wanted an Italian beef. I ended up getting the chicken Parm instead. He was honest and knowledgeable. I really appreciate that. The food was excellent and the service was perfect. Attentive and helpful. I will be coming back, everytime I'm in town. The place is nice, roomy, and clean. I recommend.

I was here a few weeks ago with my team for dinner. Everything was delicious! I had a few slices of the pepperoni deep dish pizza, the Margherita tavern style pizza, the veggie tavern style pizza, and some of the spaghetti in marinara sauce. The staff were very friendly and the ambiance was family style.

If you can get this pizza loving, Jersey girl to like your pizza, you won. Another spot I was like yeah sure whatever, the pizza can't be that good. Deep dish isn't New York pizza but deep dish is definitely good. I also ordered the truffle fries. People suggested the original with cheese, well done. And I loved every bit of it. I appreciated that they had the a mini pizza for a single person like me in town for a conference. It is a big location with ample seating and a big parking lot. It is bright inside. I sat by the bar and was able to enjoy my Knicks game. The service was decent. Good. The host was kind. My server was attentive.

Always wanted to try actual deep dish Chicago pizza in Chicago and this place came pretty highly recommended online so it was at the top of my list. It looked like any pizzeria seen in the background of a John Hughes film. We were seated rather rapidly as the waiter went through the whole spiel in a rapid fire Chicago accent. The garlic cheese sticks were really unique, I loved them but my dining companion hated them, so I guess they're kind of polarizing. But you could definitely taste all the different cheese flavors in there. My dining companion loved his lasagna, which was absolutely smothered in cheese and was a massive serving that took up the whole plate. My traditional Chicago style deep dish was pepperoni, peppers, and onions, and while it was very good and the stereotypical extra cheesy deep dish with a thick bready crust I've heard so much about (still pretty good as breakfast the next day for that matter) my only gripe was that the peppers and onions should have been par-cooked before being put under the cheese, since it kind of steamed the vegetables under the cheese and created a small puddle of water under the pizza. However, snce this is my first time eating deep dish, I'm not sure if this is just the way it's done. Overall definitely worth the trip and worth the wait.

Here's my verdict on Giordano's. Good not great. Pizza was good but watery and bottom crust was soggy. Next time, sausage and mushrooms, no onions. Italian beef. Good, not amazing. Very flavorful and the gardiniere was interesting as it only added heat. Would I go again? YES. Would I recommend that someone has to have it? NO. Drawback. Don't come if you're in a rush. Even the 6" deep dish pizza took 30 minutes and the service was OK.

I'm really loyal to the Morton Grove location, right on Dempster, but this is a very nice location too. Having lived and worked in Rosemont, I do like this area for eating and shopping. As for Giordano's, it is definitely in the top 3, depending on your mood. The deep dish pizza cheese pulls are unmatched!! Check out my video. And I also love their thin crust pizzas (non- tavern style), not as crisp and has plenty of ingredients and cheese. Perfect for the next day, BTW. The tiramisu was very good as well, satisfying and those lady fingers were very well soaked. If you're flying out of Ohare - stop here before flying out. If you're driving through on I-294, stop here for a break from the long drive and taste a bit of Chicago. Come here before or after shopping at Rosemont Outlet Mall, you won't be disappointed.

I was craving pizza and walked here from my hotel. Easy walk from many of the O'Hare airport hotels. I sat in the bar and enjoyed a local IPA with my pizza. Service was great--attentive but not intrusive. Bar area was nice with music as well as multiple games on the bar TVs. Pizza and beer definitely hit the spot.

When in Chicago, you gotta get some Giordano's. It was also 3/14 so PIE Day. We made reservations for 10 people at 715. We are on a work trip so our party ended up being 16 not 10. We get to the restaurant and they can seat the original party of 10, but say that the other 6 will have to wait. After speaking to Jean the manager, she offered us the outside patio. I know what your thinking outside patio in March. It was really warm and they have the fireplace outside. It was absolutely perfect! The inside restaurant was crazy busy as you can imagine as it's a Friday night & Pie Day. We were the only party outside. Our service was great, food amazing! Thank you!

They offer several great toppings and speciality pizzas and we enjoyed a plain cheese topped pizza with their deep dish that was fantastic. I informed the staff so the spill could be properly cleaned to prevent any patrons from slipping on the restaurant's property. Two employees handed me paper towels and told me to clean it up myself. I asked if they want to mop the area, but both responded with an extremely rude and disrespectful tone, repeatedly saying since it was "your kid who made the mess, you clean it" and they claimed to not have a cleaning crew on staff!! Ironically, shortly after, another employee came out from the back and cleaned the spill properly using a mop, soap, and water. This individual was the only staff member who behaved professionally, not aggressively or rude! In addition, when my husband asked both of them for their names, they covered their name tags, continued being rude. The employee again told us to clean up after our child and then proceeded to flick us off!

First of all, it's ORD. It's my second home away from home, and the same can probably be said for many travelers out there. Who's generally in a good mood when traveling through an airport like ORD? Probably very few - so these food-court like restaurants are already at a disadvantage serving a hard-to-please crowd. I'll establish first that I do enjoy a good deep-dish Chicago pizza, not just with thick crust but proper cheese-filled pizza. Reggio's pizzas are not that, so if that's your starting point, then they would've failed. What Reggio's provide are pre-made, person-sized pizza that has a thick buttery crust that, imho, will likely fill your calorie needs during a short layover. The toppings are your typical pizza toppings: pepperoni, sausage, etc. While pre-made, they're generally kept warm so when sold, the temperature is good for eating. (Though this may be more true at the food-court location than at one of the express stands elsewhere in one of the terminals....) The crust is actually enjoyable (if you don't think about the amount of butter that went into it) and doesn't taste stale the few times I tried. I know it's not the healthiest of food but I usually enjoy one when passing by especially since I know I wouldn't need to find food by the time I land on the East Coast after dark. The price is reasonable given airport food - go for it if you like pizza with a thick buttery crust but don't expect it to be true "deep dish" pizza.

There are a few select items in life which, if offered to me, I'd eat every single day. That tasty list is short, but mahi is definitely on there. Served on a brioche bun with lettuce, pickle, tomato, red onion and something called fat boy sauce (Hey! I resemble that remark!). This sandwich was an excellent pair to my hazy, Belgian wheat beer (I know Joe. I mean, I DO know a Joe, but that's the name of the beverage if you also like unfiltered wheat ales, like me). Crust is a solid offering for a night out, especially if you just got into O'Hare, and you're looking for something to eat that's close, quick and better than most. A pretty chill place to sit and relax. It was busy that evening, being a weekend night, but still felt approachable and a nice refuge. Was this is best mahi sandwich I've had? Of course not. Was it the best mahi I've had that's 1,000 miles from the nearest salt water? Yes, I'd say it was. Pro tip: Spend the extra $2 and spring for the sweet potato tots as your side. Many of the dishes come with Parmesan ranch fries. Sound delicious, don't they? Well, you'll be sorely disappointed. This advice came straight from our server who I genuinely believe was not trying to upscale me to get the extra $0.20 tip. He literally brought out a comparison plate to help me decide. (Great server!) Go look at my photos. It's not even close. Would I go back to Crust for the mahi? Maybe. Would I return solely for the sweet potato tots. Fo' sure! I also had the opportunity to taste the fish tacos. Solid. Crust Brewing has a nice selection of beers, as you'd expect from a brewing company. I also appreciated how the menu is short and to the point, offering solid American fare, but not overwhelming to the senses. They have a couple taco options, salads, sandwiches and wings. They also have pizza. I actually think they are known for their pizza, but I can't speak to that because, well, mahi! To skip to the end, 2-3 of our party of ten spent the night with upset stomachs or vomiting, and not from drinking to excess. The staff seemed overwhelmed and behind even though the restaurant was not full. We waited 20 min after seating for drink orders to be taken. Several of the drinks lagged long behind the others. There was not enough water for everyone to have a glass, and then the empty pitchers were collected without being refilled. Requests for refills brought one refilled pitchers when 3-4 were needed. Half of the food ordered arrived in a reasonable time. But the other items were delivered to the table around 25 minutes later, making for an awkward time while half of us watched the others eat. Those who got their food first were completely done eating by the time the rest of our food arrived. The regular pizzas and boneless wings were actually pretty good! But when the two tavern pizzas were delivered, they were so overcooked and dry they were basically inedible. (See my uploaded photos.) There was no acknowledgement by the waitstaff or attempts to correct the order. We had somewhere to be after dinner, so we opted to just choke them down rather than wait another 45 min for replacement pizzas. It was difficult to get waitstaff attention to get our checks and to go boxes. And when they came, they brought fewer boxes than we asked for. I walked up to the bar and asked for a to-go box, and was met with an eyeroll and a huff, and the box slammed on the bar with a curt "anything else?" Like I mentioned before, I was up part of the night with a sour stomach. And I found out the next morning that our friends were camped out on the bathroom floor with food poisoning. We will ne'er darken the door of this establishment again, and I suggest you don't either.

Turns out, Short Fuse was right up the road and a 5 minute walk got us there. For a Sunday, it wasn't too busy but not dead, so we got seated right away. We ordered some beer and took a look at the menu. Turns out, this day was the last day they were open. Talk about timing! After she mentioned that, I started to notice that people were buying bar signs and various other things.
