By far the worst pizza I have ever had. On the door it said cook needed. Now I know why. We started with calimari and I've never had fried lemon rines fried with calimari. They are totally inedible. The pizza had a burnt taste and everyone in my party had the shits the whole next day due to the poorly made pizza. I would never go to this location. The one in downtown Naperville is 100 times better. At least they will cook the pizza right. Maybe because they are corporate and this one is franchise. But stay clear of the this one on route 59. In terms of taste of pizza - the review = 5 stars. however, my rating is not based on the taste of product, but rather overall experience dealing with this location specifically: -Management is EXTREMELY rude. as another commented below listed, when you have a problem with the pizza (as happens often as this chain doesn't seem to be very accurate with their orders), they just mumble something along the lines of "Oh sorry, next time we'll get it right" or something to that effect, and then HANG UP on you! Customer service?! I think not! -Health/safety hazards of this location: On MULTIPLE occasions, I've had to speak to management/call after a delivery, for I've found pieces of and/or CHUNKS of hair underneath the melted cheese in the pizza (especially deep dish). This has happened far too many times now, and I have vowed to not eat there again, as well as telling all friends/family to stay away. Best Pizza in Chicago regardless of location. Whenever I return to Chicago for a visit I must get to the nearest Giordano's the first day in town for my fix. There are plenty of good deep dish pizzas in the Chicagoland Area but Giordano's is a cut above the rest. As a vegetarian family we are very conscious about where we order from. Giordano's chain is a favorite and we rarely have complaints. However, from this location we are most disappointed. We ordered a large pizza on a Sunday night with green peppers and spinach. Unfortunately, and to our shock, there was pepperoni baked into the crust! Usually when meat is accidentally placed inside our order it it noticable..this however was more than unacceptable. How do you mix meat with veggies - and that also into your crust? Do you change your gloves? Where are the standards? You shouldn't need to check every aspect including ripping apart your crust to make sure your $30 pizza isn't made wrong. Disgusted. I hope their regional manager takes a look into this. read more

DO NOT GO IN LATE AT NIGHT. Last night I had the worst service I have had in a long time at any restaurant. If I were to come into your restaurant 5 minutes before you closed, I would expect to get the stank eye as I patiently waited at the empty hostess stand to be seated. I would expect you to roll your eyes when I politely tell you I would please like to dine in. I would expect you to be short with us and avoid being at the table at all costs. I would expect our food to take over 45 minutes to arrive. I would expect you to not refill any of our drinks. I would expect you to be a rude and nasty waitress. What I DO NOT expect is all of this to happen when I come into your restaurant over an hour before you close. I worked in the restaurant business for years, I know the deal. But if people come in over an hour before you close, the least you could do is treat them with respect. I will never return here. I was shocked at how terrible the service was. read more

I placed an online order at 10:45am yesterday, February 14th, and paid for it to be ready for pickup at 6:10pm.... got there and waited 40 minutes for no pizza! I was told that it was their "busiest day of the year". They apologized but when I asked the front cashier's if they had even a rough estimate for when it could be ready, they said they couldn't give me a time. I get it, I've worked in the restaurant industry before, however, if I placed my order THAT EARLY IN ADVANCE, I should have been a priority. You're telling me that all those people sitting in the restaurant getting their pizzas called for their orders before me? Definitely should have prepared better, staffed appropriately and stopped taking orders hours before I placed the order if they were that behind. I was looking forward to it all day, I was so disappointed but even more angry and of course since it was nearly 7pm on Valentine's Day, I couldn't get dinner from anyplace else because ITS 7PM ON VALENTINES DAY! so thanks! read more

Very, very, very good Deep Dish Pizza, but I'll give it only Four Stars because I think it's a notch below Lou Malnati's in this area. I have been going to this giordanos for 15 years with no issues until recently. The last 2 times we dined in and preordered before going to the restaurant. I used to go to this Giordano's but then moved away. When I came back to town last weekend, I stopped in because I miss the pizza. Let me tell you, I will never go back in there again. I had a curly haired waitress (I think her name was Maria) who was unbelievably rude. We waited several minutes for drinks, when they finally came, she was rude when we wanted to order. Once the order was in, we waited close to 50 minutes for a stuffed which was fine, I knew they took awhile. But the ENTIRE time we waited, we didn't get a single refill. Maria had plenty of time to talk to coworkers or other tables but not enough time to get a couple pepsis to my table. The pizza unfortunately wasn't hot when we got it. I do not plan on going back to this Giordano's if that's the way they allow their waitstaff to behave. It never used to be like that. read more

For years we've loved Giordano's Pizzas great taste and chewy crust. We've been ordering from this location for years and have always been satisfied. Lately there appear to have been some changes. We use to order the X-Large thin crust, which they don't carry anymore. Now there's the 16" Large(the largest thin crust). At about $20.00 it's too much for us to continue paying and the portion size is not enough to feed 2 adults and 2 teens(which the larger size did). Our last visit was a big disappointment. Burnt crust, small size and $30.00 tab, w a medium Caesar Salad was too pricey. Besides the disappointment w the pizza, the salad contained mainly the hard bottom stalks of romaine lettuce. The Caesar dressing was so thick we had to use a spoon to get it out of the container, it was a glob of gu and it had an awful taste.Bad salad! Wasted $30.00. We ordered our pizza bet. 3-4pm Saturday, Dec 27th. Time to search for another pizza destination in the area. read more

Great pizza but the service for pickup is terrible. They just throw out any time estimate. Was told 40-45 minutes, when I asked what the delay was I was told I should have been told 45-60 minutes. Finally got the pizza over 75 minutes later. Not the first time. The downtown Naperville location rarely has such issues and the rare time it happens they tell you right away and at least say sorry. read more

My wife & I enjoy Giordano's pizza & the atmosphere although mostly we go because we really like the server that works Tuesday nights. Her name is Stephanie & she is there every Tuesday night. She always makes time to ask about us & our son, she always remembers our order & we've seen her have 10 tables at one time & never appears stressed out. She greets every table warmly & doesn't even write her orders down. She always gets our refills without being asked & our food is always served promptly & it's hot too. Hopefully her boss acknowledges her service. We will be back every Tuesday for our pizza & appetizers! read more

Delivery took almost 2 hrs. Crust was so hard I could barely cut with a steak knife and the cheese was so cold it was like rubber and the sauce was already dry on it. We were here last week 9/26/15. As always, the food was very good but the service was just okay. Our server seemed a little overworked and she often didn't seem to notice us trying to get her attention. The location is small and not set up to serve large parties. In addition, the greeter did not inform us there would be an automatic 18% gratuity tacked onto the bill for a party of 8. I didn't notice it right away because it doesn't say anything about an automatic gratuity on the bill (it's labeled "service" ) yet the receipt gave gratuity suggestions which is odd considering they already added a gratuity. In any case, I called the following day and spoke to "Andres" and requested a refund on the extra tip I had included. I don't feel the server should get a 36% tip on okay service. He said he would take care of it and . . . I am still waiting one week later for the refund. read more

We were born and raised in Chicagoland living in Texas now. The deep dish pie has always tasted great. But I'm in a dilemma. Stuffed Deep Dish is suppose to have a thin layer of dough on top, then the sauce on it or did things change while i was living outta state??? Deep Dish dont. It's always a toss up on the Giordano's we visit when we roll in from San Antonio Tx. some have it, some don't. This one didn't tonight when we ordered. So what is the standard at Giordano's? When I was a kid Giordanos was an experience to get excited about. It seems like many other things it's all about the money now and less about the experience and food. The place is small and not very cozy. Not very clean and the pizza is just ok. Also, I brought some pizza home because we couldn't finish it all and the next morning I went to take it out of the box and the paper from the box actually stuck to the pizza. I spent about 5 minutes trying to scrap paper off of the bottom of the pizza. I will certainly find my deep dish pizza somewhere else!! read more

I have been to Giordanos 3 times. The first time was pretty good except I couldn't believe the prices of a pizza!! The 2nd time, prices changed, the menu changed & the staff had changed. The price for pizza was a little ridiculous, we ordered calamari, it was $10 & I wouldn't even call it calamari. I was expecting fried squid. There was a bit of squid & there were other fried things in there. I didn't pay $10 for fried green beans & lemons. We also got a $12 pasta that doesn't even come with a salad. The 3rd & last time I was in there, the music was loud, a woman I'm guessing is a manager was wearing flip flops which is a health code violation & the girl behind the counter had such a scowl on her face & an attitude problem that I hope she pursues a career where she doesn't have to deal with people. My brother was going to have Giordanos cater his grad party but he's switching to Lou Malnatis. read more
