We have been to this store several times over the last couple of years and have mostly enjoyed the visits. Tonight, however, we had an awful experience. Ordered stuffed pizza, and as my wife was working on her piece she was greeted with a horribly rotten piece of broccoli. This wasn't the problem. The manager came to our table and my wife explained the problem pointing out the offending (brown) broccoli. Rather than offering a heartfelt apology for the mishap (hey, it happens), or offering to immediately replace our pizza, the manager proceeded to use our spatula to search our pizza for more bad veggies at our table! Once she appeared to get over her reluctance to offer us a replacement pizza, and our hesitation to risk it on more bad veggies, we asked for a pepperoni replacement. She proceeds to inform us that they are OUT OF PEPPERONI on a Sunday evening at 6pm! Short of me offering to run to the nearest supermarket to buy them some, we took it as a sign and promptly departed. There are too many other Giordano's stores and countless other pizza choices for this manager to not have quickly and apologetically resolved the issue. The pasta & meatballs was like Chef Boyardee -- why bother for $12 and a cup of salad. Just open a can and microwave!! I haven't found a single Italian restaurant that has been able to figure out how to cook pasta and get it delivered (or pick-up for that matter) where it hasn't cooked itself in the container to muck. We got pizza too -- it was okay -- needed more sauce and if we order again, we'll ask for that. read more

Ordered large 3 topping pizza appetizer 4 drinks. We ate less than a third of the pizza and asked to have it wrapped . After another long wait the "manager" informed us they lost our pizza . I understand @$@& happens and the manager attempted to fix the situation with a gift card. We had to ask the waitress what the gift card was worth . How insulting! $15 doesnt even replace the pizza that was lost much less compensate for any inconvenience. Thats your idea of management? Very disappointing experience. I called at 4pm this past Saturday to reserve a table for 4 adults and 3 kids. I was told I couldn't make reservations because I didn't have 8 people in my party. So i asked if i could order 2 pizzas ahead of time so they would be ready for when we arrived. The employee who took my order told me the pizza would be ready by 5:30. I arrived and stood in the cold lobby with my daughter and wife like idiots watching others get sat before us because we were unable to make reservations. Finally 10 minutes has passed and we're brought into a dark room in the back. Long story short the service was discraseful, the pizza doesn't taste anything like it does at the Orland Park location, this location should be closed for it is ruining the image of Giordano's. read more

First I'm going to say, I did have a somewhat bad experience here over Christmas time, but, am sure with all places, they have their bad days. I do want to say though, I have contacted the owner/manager of this particular Giordano's and discussed my bad experience with him. He has told me he discussed my conversation with the employee and cook at the time, went over their procedures and the correct way to deal with certain situations. He has also went above and beyoned what I expected out of him to make up for my bad experience, and to me that was a professional way of treating your customers, and can say I did go back yesterday with my wife and everything was great, the pizza was superb, and the waitress was very pleasant and on top of everything, I would highly recommend this place because of their food, and they way management treats its customers. read more

If you are a deep dish fan, then this is your place. Personally, we like thin crust pizza. We visit only when family comes into town and they want to have a deep dish. I will have the beef sandwich and salad not the deep dish pizza. On occasion we have had the thin crust and it is okay and nothing more. The thin crust is too thick. If you plan on going during the summer months, get ready for little league players all over making noise and causing commotion. Beef sandwich is okay as is the salad. read more

Had an horrible experience with a waitress. Short girl very nasty attitude, rude . Wasn't helpful at all . We almost had a physical altercation because she was really rude and combative. I paid for my dinner and removed myself from the restaurant. Paid almost $50 and including carry out for my family that was at home $80 total . Went back in to the restaurant spoke with a manager because I do don't want any one to have the experience I did. And paid $80 bucks just to get disrespected . But the manager was really understanding. They let me know this isn't the first time this have happened. We worked some things out with the bill. But I will never go bk to this location. Oh and the waitress asked for a tip . Which is very disrespectful if you haven't done you job at all . So I told her the tip is to Learn customers service . I see over 7,000 people in a day and I maintain great customer service, she couldn't be nice to two people. I hope her the best read more

Soooooo I am so disappointed right now with this location. The food is ok but the manager on today Thursday may 31, 2018 is beyond rude and ignorant. She is an African american lady. I along with 2 other individuals are inside the location and shortly before leaving I went to the front to order a harvest salad. The Caucasian girl at the front did not see it and said that the menu was revamped so they dont sell it anymore but said let me double check with the manager. The manager looked me in the eye and said we have not had the salad for over 2 years. I said I just ordered it a few weeks ago she disputed the fact. So I told the young lady that's ok. I went back to the booth sat down went on the website and saw that I can order the salad it was available at that location. I said so you know what I will order it online the cooks can make it and I will come back to the front and pick it up. She said wait I'm not sure if it works let me just make sure. She asked the same manager who looks to be in her late 50's and said she see it online. She said well that's because she was looking in the wrong menu the harvest salad is now in the limited time only menu and walked away. "REALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How spiteful and rude can one person be. That's why we as African Americans get a bad rap and are deemed unintelligent ignorant and rude and to think this is a business and she should be helping her subordinates. The young lady apologized and brought it to the table to us. That manager needs to go to training. I can see if maybe she honestly thought they didn't have it anymore. For one thing it just it the limited time because I buy it at least 5 times a month. But the nerve of her instead of saying no it's a limited time item now here is the correct menu that so called manager said that's because she looking in the wrong menu which was the restaurants menu in-store. How do you possibly answer that. How?????????? I am beyond mad. I have a suggestion maybe the mokena location need to send her over to manage the matteson location where she would fit right in rude. My daughter took me to Giordano's in Mokena for lunch yesterday and I was so thrilled with the restaurant. Although I have had very many Italian meals in the past I am thrilled to admit that this was the best I have ever had. The food was excellent and the service also was great. Mostly it was the food that I enjoyed that was the best I have ever had. I should mention I had the meatball sandwich and calamarie appetizer and they were excellent as were the very tasty French fries. I will surely be back with more family members and also will use their carry outs. Thank you. read more

I just went in today for something a bit different than the usual pie in town and actually was able to watch the pizza maker make it from scratch and it looked amazing. Eating, A most Religious, great tasting experience! They have the best pie! A couple weeks ago I ordered a stuffed pizza and the owner even let me keep the cooking pan in was made in! Who does that? Excellent staff very friendly , they are out to please the customer in any way and I highly recommend to all.
