Let me preface this review by saying i grew up eating giordano's spinach pizza. But i must say this was the absolute worst experience i have ever had at a giordano's restauraunt. The food was normal guordano's quality but the wait staff was awful and lacked basic customer service skills. Servers fought over who would serve my girlfriend and I (to not serve). Once we did get a server she could not take a simple pizza and ceasar salad order. Another table waited 30 minutes for a server to see them. And yet another server repeatedly manhandled straws as they moved in glasses. She would actually put her hand on the top of the straw push it down in the glass and the serve the drink to customers. This wait staff will be the reason this restaurant fails. Management must remedy these basic serving issues before they can expect repeat business. I am very disappointed and I do not plan on visting this establishment again until something is done with this awful service. read more

I love Giordano's. I grew up eating Giordano's and I'm very familiar with their quality. With that being said, today is the third time I have ordered from this location, and will be the last time. While the food is semi ok (certainly not the Giordano's best that I'm used to) the service is immensely horrible. I ordered online at 5:00 and I just got my order now at 7:15. At around 6:30 I call and was told that my driver "should be on his way" and when I asked if they had even left yet, the person on the phone told me "I'm not sure but I don't see why they haven't left." Really?! The other 2 times that I have ordered here, the delivery was just as slow. I thought I would give them one last try, but they failed. Never again. Update: I just received a phone call from the manager of this location. I must say that he was completely apologetic and as far as customer service goes, I appreciate that. He suggested that the next time, I ask for a manager if I am waiting a long time, in addition to other suggestions. Because of this exceptional customer service, I will return to this location to give them another chance. read more

After calling a minimum of 10 times and them either not answering or hanging up in our face, we were finally able to speak with a live person who sounded as if they would have preferred to be anywhere but there. She told us they closed at 9pm, we asked could we be seated as late as 8:30 because we were 30 minutes away. After talking in circles a couple of times she said it we be no problem. We arrived around 8:25 only to be told we could be seated but our wait for a pizza would be a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes! Huh how's that possible if they close at 9:00PM? Needless to say we walked out. I only saw kids throughout the entire establishment. Where's the manager? I've tried patronizing this restaurant at least 5 times and they're always closed or about to close and no longer seating. This place is down the street from my home but I promise I will no longer attempt to patronize them! Good luck in this disorganized venture. We had a group of 20 (prior to visiting, had a reservation). We were a little reluctant because this location appeared small on the outside, but they made it work for us! LaDeira? was our waitress, and she was phenomenal. She took her time with our group, was patient, and attentive. We had a very large order, and the staff of Giordano's was efficient and timely as well. This was my first visit here, and definitely won't be my last. If I could do minus stars I would. We went on this Tuesday night to grab a pizza and have a nice family dinner. We ended up eating at a different local pizzeria. I would say the service was bad, but then one should have to have been served. We arrived about 6:45 and we seated by a nice lady a few minutes later. Then we waited... At 7:05. We decided to leave having not been acknowledged or contacted by anyone in the restaurant. As we were leaving surprisingly enough we were still not acknowledged. So we decided to go out to celebrate a work promotion, as we entered there were 3 employees at the counter and a Lady who seems to be the manager that was sitting in the dining room with a computer set up office style at a table looked at us and said nothing she seemed more concerned with her phone vs running the business. NO acknowledgement for mins. Then we finally were seated and again sat for over 5 mins before our server arrived now there was only two tables with diners so we could not understand why the wait was so long. The waitress's is sweet. However the restaurant seems poorly managed and waiters and waitresses seem a little confused( maybe a newer staff?). My fiancé and I ordered beers hoping to enjoy with our meal or at least our appetizers but 30-35 mins in and still no sight of any app. Literally as I am typing this two other couple that arrived awhile after us received their appetizers... something is definitely wrong with this. Great service! Great food! This was our first stop as we came to the Chicago area and of course we had to try the world famous Giordano's deep dish pizza! Was not a disappointment! The house salad was sooooo yummy! The dressing was so tangy and delicious. Also, the calamari was unique in that they didn't only fry the calamari but also fried the lemons, and peppers, it was so good! I have to say though, the BEST PART of the meal had to be our waitress, Christina. She was so kind and went out of her way to make sure everything was good and happy for us. read more

This wasn't our first choice for dinner, but we knew the name and it was close to our shopping. We ordered our drinks, that was a fast delivery to our table. We wanted the sampler appetizer, but don't care for mushrooms. The waitress said the management didn't allow any substitutions. Perhaps with a 1 and a half star rating on here do to customer service, the should reconsider that decision. Ordered a deep dish pizza, we were told 45 minutes. I am writing this while we wait. Been ordering to-go for years from this location, because it's way better than Orland. Went there to dine-in and even ordered my 3 stuffed pizzas before I arrived. Told the woman we would be in at 6:15, so she said the pizzas would be ready about 6:45. We were also going to order other food when we got there, so it would all be ready at the same time. When we arrived at 6:15, we told the host that we already pre-ordered our pizzas and he said they were in the oven. Ordered sandwiches. Waitress never asked for drink order, we had to go to the bar to get our non-alcoholic drink order. Sandwiches were out within 20 minutes and no pizza. Finally, at 7 I asked about said pizzas and she said she would check. Waitress never came back. She literally checked on us 1 time the whole 2 hours we were there. Manager came over and said pizzas just went in the oven. I had 7 people in my party, mostly kids, who were hangry. At 7:30, we were finally going to just pay for sandwiches, when the pizza's come out. They were luke-warm and had an off taste. Manager said he would compensate for the service. Took 20% off, but because we had more than 6 people, gratuity was already added on. Our bill was over $100, so the waitress, who did absolutely nothing but bring us a sandwich, received an $18 tip. Right now I am wearing a Santa hat that says "Naughty". Let me tell you why. I went here for lunch today, the Friday right before Christmas. I was out for 1 hr 15 mins. I came back to work from lunch and my boss looked at me and said "Wear this hat backwards" (and naughty was on the back, the front said "nice"). So what does this mean? I was out at lunch because the service was slow. It took 30 mins between asking for the bill to getting able to leave. Not just because we are slow. The service is slow. The food is decent. Some things are pricey. Rating relates to slow service and the fact that I am late. read more

Appreciated the curbside delivery but that was where the good experience ended. I arrived on time but I thought the pizza was overpriced. Got the largest size and was not large enough for four. The pizza was not hot and either fresh ingredients were not used or they were poor quality. For example miniscule Italian sausage and the green pepper was just a couple huge chunks. I love Giordano's but as we walked in we were not greeted. The tables were dirty and very one seemed to have a bad attitude. Also the seats were wet no was there to dry the seats it felt like a ghost town. The person at the door was dry and strange. Why do you guys even exist you suck!!!!!! Overall this location has improved. At 5pm on Saturday the service is prompt and pleasant. The atmosphere is modern and appealing. However, in my husband's and my opinion, the deep dish large special pizza is thin. It is supposed to have sausage, onion and bell pepper. A lot of the ingredients were missing. read more

I went here to catch up with some of my family from out of town. We entered the facility and 8:30 PM and didn't end up leaving until 10:30 PM(mind you they close at 10 and we placed an order at 8:45). The pizzas took forever (Which is understandable since our whole party ordered deep dish pizzas). Nevertheless, once we received Two of the pizzas, we noticed they were not warm at all. The chicken and broccoli pizza were stuck to the cardboard. Both the chicken and broccoli pizza alongside the sausage and pepperoni pizza was bland. There was no cheese pull at all. 20 minutes later, we received the last pizza (which was the only enjoyable one). After eating two slices of the chicken and broccoli one, we noticed a mushroom on top of the pizza. Even though this experience wasn't a good one, and it was the worst Giordano's I've ever eaten at, Jeffery was an amazing waiter who tried to help the situation to the best of his ability. I will never return to this location again, but I do hope people learn from my experience. read more

Explained everything in detail to me and comped me for my $14 appetizer I ordered and offered me a free drink at the bar while I wait! Poor experience from this restaurant. I ordered a pizza that was supposed to be delivered at 8:10. I called at 8:45 to check the status and my pizza was sitting there in the restaurant was I outside? When I said no it was supposed to be delivered 30 minutes ago I was put on hold. Then they returned to the line saying no, it's with the driver and on the way. Needless to say at 9:10 a cold pizza arrived. I would have waited for another pizza to be made or just cancelled the order. Delivering food that had been sitting there is just unacceptable. read more
