Not sure why this location doesn't have better reviews, when we came while visiting Chicago if you weekends ago, we tried multiple different deep dish pizza restaurants. This one was by far the best. It had a lot of toppings and sauce compared to dough. The pizza was VERY filling. The pizza was delivered to us quickly, and the service was excellent. The venue was unique and clean. We came around 3 PM and there was no wait to be seated. We also tried Pequod's and Lou Malnati's and found Giordano's to be superior. I would highly recommend anyone in the area visiting this venue if they wish to try deep dish pizza. read more

Came here after 4 days of raging at Lollapalooza. Barely ate on the trip and my stomach was full of booze so it's safe to say I was quite excited to eat. I got the deep dish pizza with sausage, mushroom, onions and green peppers. That shit was fire but we ordered so many god damn appetizers that I wasn't even hungry when the food came out. The bruschetta and bread sticks were ass btw. Regardless, I munched that shit down. Good pizza, good price, good atmosphere. Would recommend to a friend read more

Giordano's - I forgot to take a picture before because I was so hungry so here's a picture of my plate after 3 minutes - Pizza Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This place is a solid four star pizza joint. We were seated promptly, the hostess brought us drinks right away, and we were very excited for our first taste of deep dish pizza.Because we were told that it would take 45 minutes for pizza, and because my son was starved, we decided to order a bruschetta appetizer. That came quickly, and it was delicious, if not a touch on the oily side. We got the meat and more meat small pizza, and when it came it was piping hot and positively overflowing with melted cheese. The sauce was good, but perhaps a little too sweet. The crust was light, flaky, and delicious. We took two pieces home which we are currently heating up for breakfast... Life is good! Overall a good experience. read more

We were here in Chicago for a day and decided to try Giordano's pizza. It was so yummy and it was just beautiful watching the cheese stretch and pull per slice. We also had the calamari and the wedge salad. The calamari and things had artichoke, lemon, banana peppers and fennel as well. The wedge salad was simply a salad but still very refreshing compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, the food was good and the wait was about 20 minutes on a Saturday evening. They told us ahead of time that the pizza could take 45 mins to an hour to make so we placed our order in while we waited. Thanks for the heads up! read more

Stopped here for dinner with my wife before heading home. Giordano's came highly recommended by several locals during our stay in Chicago, so of course we had to give it a shot. The hostess greeted and had us seated within a few minutes. For an appetizer I ordered the house salad and my wife ordered the caprese salad. Both salads were very good. For our main course we shared a stuffed crust Chicago classic (pepperoni, mushrooms, onions, bell peppers) and added spinach and artichoke to it. Upon ordering we advised our waitress that we would also need to have a small thin crust pepperoni to go. When our stuffed pizza came out I asked our waitress to put in the order of the pepperoni pizza to go and she acknowledged us. The stuffed pizza was amazing. The sauce was very flavorful and the way all the toppings were layered made it all that much better. I would definitely order a pie for delivery to California. We then didn't see her again until she came by to box up our leftovers and to bring the check. When I inquired about the thin crust pepperoni pizza she tells me she forgot to put the order in and then proceeds to ask if we still want to have the order put in. 30 minutes later and our small thin crust pepperoni pizza is ready to go. No apology, no comping our one iced tea, or any sort of inconvenience discount was given. Very disappointing. If it wasn't for the exceptionally good stuffed pizza I would have second thoughts of dining here again. Just have to remember to avoid that server. read more

Y-U-M!!!! Giordano is conveniently located in the Loop, right next to Willis tower and close to a ton of hotels. I went on a calm Wednesday night. I ordered a Caesar salad starter and munched on it while I waited for the pizza. When the pizza arrived, it smelled SOOOOO delicious. If I went to Chicago more often, I would go there again and again :). Tip: If it is busy and there is wait, order your deep dish pizza ahead of time so you don't have to wait much longer once you get to your table. read more

The lunch special here is the besttt. That's all I've ever gotten. Drink + salad + small pizza for 10 buckaroos. Great deal and the pizza is the perfect size for me - I definitely feel full but not bloated. Atmosphere is very casual, classic Giordano's, and you can usually get seated quickly during work lunches (to my surprise). read more

I was visiting Chicago for the day, went to see the Willis Tower, then afterwards had to eat some deep dish pizza. Man did this place hit the spot. The appetizer was delicious and the pizza was so filling. I took half of my "individual" pizza home (it was really big). Overall loved the food and the nice atmosphere. Good food and the service was okay, but be patient because it can be a bit of a wait!

I rated this place 4 stars because of the hospitality and the ambience of the environment. I loved the patio view and how bright the city lights were as we sat outside. Our waitress was great and very attentive. I did not care for the deep dish pizza at all. It was too much for me and I didn't like how the cheese got cold really fast and was thick as if I was eating a cheese-stick. I HIGHLY recommend the chicken wings! They were really good. read more

All I have to say is...BELIEVE THE HYPE. I had seen Giordano's on Yelp, Facebook and every other place possible. 45 minute wait for the pizza? No problem! I ordered a personal size with mushrooms and sausage and it was absolutely unbelievable. I pigged out on that pizza. If you're in Chicago YOU HAVE TO GO! read more

We were in Chi-town for a layover so deep dish with an old local chain was a must. It's no NYC slice or New Haven clam pie, but chi-town knows how to make a good deep dish. Excellent stuffed deep dish. Crust was slightly crunchy without being soggy. I especially enjoyed the taste and aromas of the crust. The rush had a light caramelization without being greasy. All the ingredients tasted great and we didnt feel like we wanted to explode afterward from carbs. The surprise was the wonderful chopped salad. The dressing was sweet and light. The ingredients complimented each other well. Bits of soft pasta with fresh veggies with crispy bacon. Service was a tad slow and the seats were a little tired. But that didn't deter us from a wonderful deep dish meal. Don't forget to get a local brew to go with your pizza. read more

One of the best, if not THE best pizza I've ever had. This is my first trip to Chicago so I had to try a famous Chicago Deep Dish pizza and it did not disappoint. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is the wait times. I completely understand why it is so long, it is amazing pizza. 45 minutes for the average deep dish pizza is a long time to wait for pizza but it is an experience. Hip and trendy bar/restaurant attracts a huge crowd to get that authentic deep dish experience. Wear your fanciest sweat pants and fast for 2 days before because it is gonna be a ride. read more

I had their deep dish pizza on a previous trip to Chicago, and I was excited to share it with the rest of my family. The pizzas are quite large, so don't believe their portion suggestions. (Seriously, their small pizza is NOT for 1-2 people!) Still, the pizza was sooo good and satisfying. I have never had better deep-dish pizza anywhere. One thing: you have to expect a long wait. The pizza takes a while, but you can order early and help yourself to a salad in the meantime. The verdict: Check it out! read more

Being from San Diego, pizza like this doesn't exist. From what I have gathered, there is 3 big players of pizza in Chicago, Lou Malnati's, Gino's east, and Giordano's pizza. Or these are the famous ones that everyone talks about at least. So far, I've eaten at two, Lou's and Giordano's. Lines were never an issue as my trip was in January and I would either eat early or late. So I had two things working in my favor, time and season. Lou's was my favorite of the two. You HAVE to get the butter crust. It wasn't overly flaky or dry. It was crispy and yet saturated in butter. It was amazing. The cheese oozed out and really melted in your mouth. The interior was nice wood architecture and tile. They had some cool jerseys that were signed and on the walls. Besides the food and the decor, the staff was all super nice. Every person was really friendly and made the visit really pleasant. Giordano's was a great pizza. It wasn't as good as Lou's but it was still really good. The crust is thick and a dominant feature in the pizza. It was very flaky. I liked having the butter crust from Lou's more. The cheese was good but it wasn't as succulent as Lou's. I will say, that Giordano's had better sauce. It was really sweet and tasty. I thought it was a great flavor for pizza. The service was really good but it didn't stand out like the service did at Lou's. Anyways, There is my comparison. Both places are great pizzas, have great service, and are something you should try. Lou's was my choice but everyone is different. read more

I love the thick, Chicago style pizza! I went to two different giordano's. The second one on Randolph had hard crust on the bottom and was not as enjoyable. Plus the server was no where to be found. When she did appear, she wasn't very friendly. The dining experience at Roosevelt was much better, though I did sit at the bar and ate. The wait time to be seated was almost an hour. But worth it for a better experience than the Randolph location- I would not recommend it. read more

Great tasting food catered for our work meeting! So glad I was able to try some of their yummy food while in Chicago.

We had the fried calamari and the meat lovers stuffed deep dish Chicago style pizza. It was good.. calamari was just ok (comes with banana peppers, green beans, onions, and lemons- yes, all deep fried).. the pizza was about as good as we expected it would be. Tinyyyy Buy undercooked, but I personally enjoyed it that way. The sauce was a bit on the heavier side. The service was just ok. I felt rushed when the pizza arrived after the normal 40 minutes wait, and couldn't take a picture. If there's a picture I really wanted, it was the "famous Chicago deep dish pizza." But well, before I picked up my phone, there was a slice served and another being prepared so I thought "whatever." Hope to give Lou Malnati's a shot next time we come.. we have the rest of our places to eat planned ahead. read more

Pizza - 5 stars! Service - 5 stars! But I don't imagine I would go back to this location. Besides it being freezing in there, it was extremely loud! The loudness was not because of the amount of people, but moreso the acoustics of the place. So, moving forward it would be no-go for me. read more

Great pizza if you like deep dish. The wait of 45+ minutes from time of order is not a Giordano's issue and comes with wanting deep dish. Kind of crazy but not a problem if you are going out and plan for it I ate at the bar and thought the service was 3 stars at best. Bar tender was spending more time talking to friends than waiting on the few customers that were at the bar. I would go back for the Chicago pizza experience but I would go to other places depending on which was closest. I think they are similar and there isn't really any special recipe in the ingredients from what I have seen having visited a few of the "great" pizza places read more

Ok so nobody does deep dish like places in Chicago BUT I had already gone to Lou Manalti's and Giordano's just didn't compare! 1. They do not pre-take your order so each table has to wait at least 45 minutes for their deep dish pizza to cook. Though it wouldn't have mattered to us anyways cause there was zero wait on a Sunday night. It's crazy you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour for pizza eating in.. so definitely order appetizers or a salad to kill the time. We ordered the small Chicago classic and it was like ~$23. I felt like this was a bit more expensive compared to the small at Lou Manalti's for $17. Was this one larger, maybe by a little bit. The toppings tasted like a normal supreme pizza, nothing special about it and the deep dish, though good, did not compare. I think the crust is a bit more flakey than at Lou's and less buttery. I just didn't like the toppings or the crust here as much. This was more like a flakey pie crust, whereas Lou's is crispier and more buttery and the toppings had more of a unique flavor. read more

Giordano's pizza is one of my all time favorites. My experience with Giordano's is consistent from location to location. The crust is the most amazing part of the pizza, IMO. It is soft with a flaky crunch and a beautiful not quite bready nor doughy texture, not moist, not dry, and not greasy---really hard to describe as it is one of a kind. All the ingredients were very fresh tasting and delicious---with a good balance of sauce, cheese, crust, and toppings. One of the unique qualities of Giordano's pizza is that the sauce is on top of the cheese. Our waitress was nice maybe could have been more attentive---but nothing overly outstanding one or another. The atmosphere was sports bar-esque--lots of people chattering and having a good time eating pizza while watching baseball on one of the numerous television screens. I really look forward to visiting this or any Giordano's location again---so I can gorge myself with pizza again. read more

We had googled deep dish places to eat at before we got here and though we didn't want to go to a chain this place kept popping up on our searches and with limited time here we decided to give it a shot. We read that the wait times get longer as it gets later so we went for an early dinner about 1700. We got seated about 5 min after entering and greeted shortly after. Our server was great and helped recommend some things though we knew what we wanted and we appreciated that he warned us a deep dish would be about 45 min. We ordered their craft draft beers the green line and the 312 I think it was we loved them both. When our deep dish arrived we were in heaven. This place was perfect. read more

We always come here every time when come to Chicago! If you want authentic deep dish Chicago style pizza, look no further! The sauce and toppings are perfectly seasoned, and that crust is so buttery and delicious! The pizzas are also huge, so be sure to have leftovers! Their thin crust is also super delicious, and my family ends up ordering both styles every time we visit. The wait can be long, but it is so worth it! read more

Classic (and still the best) Chicago deep dish pizza! We arrived right before the heavy lunch crowd, so our wait was less than 20 minutes. They allow you to place your pizza order before you're seated, which cuts down the 45 minute wait for deep dish pizzas. We had the parmesan fries while we waited, which is a tasty appetizer. The Deep Dish Chicago Classic and Meat Lovers were amazing! Expect a super cheesy top, with the most deliciously thick crust and hearty helpings of "toppings"! Unfortunately, our waitress was really hard to get ahold of, but it's probably just because they were super busy. Ah well, despite a bit of trouble getting our checks and leftover boxes, the great food with friends was well worthwhile! read more
