I didn't get any notification about when my order was completed so I recommend making an account so you can track your orders progress. When it was the estimated time for pickup, I walked in and saw my pizza ready. They had it in a heater to keep it warm which is sooo cool! The pizza was tasty! Trip to Chicago for a conference and lucky for me Giordano's was around the corner so I got to stop by and get some good quality deep dish pizza. I got a table for 2 and we waited 5 minutes to be seated. The deep dish takes 1hr to cook so you will wait a while for your order. I recommend planning ahead or get some light appetizer. I ordered the bruschetta for appetizer and pepperoni pizza. Both are delicious and big enough for 3-4 people. Highly recommend specially if you are first time visiting. Of course I had to stop here on my visit to Chicago as if is a staple in the city. I have never been a huge fav on deep dish pizza however I do try it whenever I have the chance. It was easy to find and very eye catching. Upon entering, the people working at the main desk were slightly rude and unwelcoming but once we got upstairs everything was s both sailing from there. They were petty crowded but we got seated right away. The pizza came out in the correct time as they noted it would be a tad bit longer. the sauce and crust were great! I have a friend who has brought me the deep dish sausage frozen pizza a few times, but I don't think I've ever did a review on it. The instructions were easy to follow and the pizza packaging was great. I like that you could microwave the container tray and transfer it to the oven. They do recommend to put it in the microwave for seven minutes before placing it in the oven. I was hesitant about this, but followed the instructions and it came out well. The Chicago style deep dish stuffed pizza was delicious and a nice alternative to the California thin crust that I do enjoy too. I would recommend taking a frozen pie home with you and:or ordering one to be delivered. My friend travels from Chicago to California and puts it in the freezer as soon as he gets home. I will always find a deep dish pizza spot when visiting Chicago, but maybe Ill stray away from the popular franchise and try some other spots. The pizza took FOREVER! probably close to an hour, which they mention, but my goodness, for a 6"? The service was terribly slow, and the wait staff looked overwhelmed. Its fun, and a bustling experience, with lots of people and energy, but I dont recommend if youre looking for GOOD quality pizza thats satisfying. Moisture shouldnt have been dripping from my pizza like it was shown in my photo. A complete turn off - almost lost my appetite. They really need to do better. read more

This place was PACKED and Orlando and the staff did such an amazing job organizing the entire rush accurately. Me and my friend visited today from south Texas where this doesn't exist . And each staff member we came into contact with was amazing . Orlando was forsure the highlight . Had a small hiccup with the pizza and had to wait an additional 45 minutes but it was early and we had nowhere to go and nothing to do so it wasn't a problem at all ! No trip to Chicago would be complete without stopping for some pizza Giordano's was nearby so we braved the Sunday afternoon crowd for a bite. We prefer thin crust we had a 25 minute wait for table and about 25 minutes for our Pepperoni pizza. Service was spot on, our server kept us refreshed and informed during the wait. Once the pizza came we dug in and it was great. The crust edges crackle while the body was tender to the palette. The tomato sauce and cheese was spot on and very tasty pepperoni a plenty we ordered the 16 inch for the 4 of us ate about 3 quarters and we were stuffed..their is a shirt for that also. You can even have pizza shipped to your home to share with family which I'm sure we will do soon. Hey while in Chicago Pizza, Hot Dogs,Italian beef gotta be on the list. They have several locations to make it easy to fine one nearby. We got our drinks..which for a bottle of beer (Michelob Ultra) was kind of pricey $7.50 so you are better off to get a draft beer if you don't mind draft beer. We ordered an appetizer because our deep dish we were told could take 45-60 minutes. The bruschetta was very yummy and did hold us over for the pizza. We debated on ordering a small or medium for the three of us. We went with the medium which was way more than enough. We each only ended up eating one piece with 5 pieces left over. I feel we would have been more than fine with a small. With our medium deep dish pizza, appetizer, draft beer, bottle beer and glass of soda, the bill was around $82.00, so not horribly overpriced for the amount and quality of food. read more

I visited this on During my recent and first visit to Chicago near the famed Cloud Gate. Here is the summary of my experience there: 1) Ambiance 5/5: The place is one of the biggest pizza place that I have seen and it was brimming with people. This has 2 levels of seating and is in an old building which I am guessing would be a landmark in itself. The decor was contemporary and I liked it. 2) Service 3/5: This is where it was a let down. The service was slow which was promptly told us by the server Gopalan as it was very busy even on a Thursday. They took 45 minutes for a pizza. That was alright sine we were informed ahead of time but my greek salad took over 25 minutes to arrive as well which was very disappointing Also, they added bell peppers on my dish even after asking to not it multiple times. 3) Food 3/5: Not the best but not bad either. Here is the summary of what we had a) Pepperoni Pizza(not Chicago Deep dish): The pizza was alright. I asked my brother in law and he said it was alright. Not the best but not the worst either. This took over 45 minutes to be served b) Greek Salad: Took over 25 minutes to come. The Lettuce was old and they kept the bell pepper even after asking repeatedly to not do so. We were on vacation so the one place everyone recommended was Giordano's. Well, you can't go wrong if everyone is recommending it! We get there and are seated very quickly. We're told by our server the deep dish could take up to 45 minutes and just be prepared. Knowing that, we ordered the shared appetizers and I had the salad. Both were amazing! Our server, an older lady, was also fantastic and just really sweet! Soon after we had our appetizers, the pizza came. Now this is the important part: get a size smaller than you think you need. It was three of us so we got the personal pizza, which was six slices and that was more than plenty. I took the advice of other Yelperz and turned down photographs; we took our own. First the good, because there is so much to enjoy about this place. The food is amazing! The restaurant is spacious with calm lighting. And it is clean. We got the 10-inch 'The Special' deep dish pizza, and it was awesome. The individual who brought it out (not our waitress, more on that later) was awesome, fun, and let us take our time taking photos of the pie and the cheese pull. We really enjoyed this experience and the person who provided it for us! If this person had been our waitress, this review would be a raving 5/5 stars across the board. Alas, that is not the case. Our waitress, who I believe was named Ivan (pronounced ee-vhan, female) absolutely sucked at her job. Not mincing my words here. She did not convey how long it would take for a pie to be serviced, which is anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour, so be prepared for a wait. This is something that other customers who came in after us were informed of, albeit by a different staff member who clearly had a better bedside manner. At one point, when asking if we were ready to order, we must have taken too long, because she just walked off. Maybe she thought we had said "no", but there was no "No worries, take your time" or any other kind of verbal confirmation. Just...gone. Every time she was at a nearby table, she didn't bother to check in or even look in our direction, and I had to flag her down for a drink refill whenever we wanted one. At the end, when it came time to pay the bill, she hovered over my shoulder, making me very uncomfortable leaving the tip commiserate with the level of service provided (hint: something below the standard 20%). In the end, I swiftly hit the 18% button to seal the deal, though I felt I betrayed myself for not leaving something much, much lower than that. All in all, great place with excellent food and some good people in the service side of the house. Unfortunately, we good the rotten one. If you ever dine here and find the person waiting you a tad rude, do yourself a favor and ask for someone else, a different table, or just leave. I only wish maybe I got a bigger size. The broken cannoli is a fun dessert. You get a deconstructed cannoli with the shells, chocolate sauce and creamy ricotta. First and foremost, if you are even thinking of getting a deep dish, plan well ahead because you are going to be here awhile. Was quoted about 45 minutes to cook them on average. I thought the crust was overdone and they should back that off, but that's just me. This venue is loud because of the open space, but still a fun vibe. The waiter handling our section was a tornado, running around like crazy taking care of everyone, but he still did a great job. All while being very friendly and upbeat. Now, the pizza. EVERYONE I talked to in Chicago has raved about Giordano's, so my expectations were really high. So, I will say yeah, it was really good, other than the outer crust being too done like I mentioned previously. One thing I will complain about. How the experience starts. If you want a table to dine in, you check in with one person. Then you get in another line to pre order pizza because it is going to take a while. But only pizza. Having worked in pizza places myself, I am dumbfounded it takes so long to cook the pies. Yeah, it is deep dish, but the crust is too burnt. Everything else in the pizza is super hot, and probably would still be with less time in the oven. Or maybe assembly of the pizzas pre cooking could be sped up.
