Going deep... After a day of exploring the Chicago Loop and just literally right across from Millennium Park is Giorgano's yes a place to go for the classic Chicago's Deep Dish pizza. There was a good amount of crowd waiting to be seated and was nice that we didn't have to wait long for our table as the getting your pizza will take much longer and the staff will inform you of the time it will take to be sure you understand and aren't on a time constraint. Love the vibe here as it's a classic tavern that Chicago is known for as the nightlife lights up so did the restaurants as well. We ordered the Meat and More Meat - Deep Dish and since it is a deep dish it will take between 30-40 minutes which didn't feel like that when you're with an entertaining group while we did summarize our trip and of course they have a staff coming by to take a group photo which was weird yet entertaining as well. Once our pie arrived the insane cheese pull went on forever as we had to intervene did make a great photo op and though the crust didn't do much for me here the filling was divine and meaty with the cheese is on the bottom showed its presence throughout the meal. Always fun to experience the local vibe and here is very lively and fun the convenience of being in the Loop is what makes it work as we enjoyed our day spent in the heart of Chicago. Thank you!

#chicago #chicagopizza #flyforfood You can't go to the Windy City without stopping in at Giordano's for a deep dish pizza Be prepared to wait in line. Be prepared to wait for your pizza. Be prepared for a great meal. Be prepared to take your leftovers home with you. Deep dish house special filled with marinara sauce, cheeses, an assembly of meats, all sitting and baked in a deep dish pizza crust It's a pizza joint. Noisy loud crowded as someone would expect of a pizza joint, let alone and infamous iconic decent pizza joint.

When you think of Chicago and food, how can you not think of deep dish? Since my group had eaten it before I arrived, I was surprised they wanted to compare their first spot with Giordano's. We all enjoyed our meal here! This location of Giordano's is off the Magnificent Mile, so it's quite chaotic. There's a wait time to be seated, for takeout, and, of course, for the pizza. Coming on a weekend, the estimated wait time was long. Lucky for us, we were seated quickly. The staff was courteous and efficient. We had to check in with them a few times for some items. Our food came out as quickly as it could, all things considered. So of course we had to get a deep dish! We got a 10-inch Meat and More Meat. Six slices were perfect for the five of us since we weren't too hungry and really just wanted to try it out. Being lactose intolerant, I did end up having some, and it was worth it. The pizza was thick, cheesy, and had plenty of meat. The crust was buttery, thick, and flaky. The portion was perfect, and I really enjoyed it. Chicago has so many places to get deep dish pizza. Giordano's is a famous one, and they have so many locations! This is one of their most popular locations on E Randolph Street, off the Magnificent Mile. A must-try for visitors like me!

Time for a deep dish lunch before we headed to Millenium park! We got there and there was a decent amount of people. We were told it would be a 15 min wait which was fine. After a while they texted us that our table was ready and we were lead to our booth. We were starving since it was already 2pm so we decided to order some apps while our Chicago special deep dish was baking for 45 mins. We got the parm garlic fries with ranch and ketchup, mozzarella triangles and a small side Caesar salad (for health!). The apps were really good! The fries were nice and hot, coated with the parm cheese and herbs. The Mozzarella triangles were perfectly cheesy and the salad was decent too. Now the pizza! It was huge! I didnt realize the small would be 6 big slices. It was beautiful and it tasted amazing. Perfectly cheesy with right amount of sauce and crust. There were also crispy veggies and sausage throughout. This is what I dream of when I want a deep dish pizza. So so good! Def. worth the wait. I wish we were able to get one to go on the way home. The staff was very nice as well and the decor was lively and fun! Def. would come back to this location next time I'm in Chicago to try more pizza.

Open late night, came in about an hour before closing. Two of us ordered: lemonade $4.10 caesar salad $11.75 small stuffed DD spinach $12.20 meat and more meat $16.20 3% restaurant fee Food takes awhile to come out. Could have taken close to 40-45 min. Overall, nice that it is open late. The cheese pull is crazy at Giordano! Compared to Lou Malnati, Giordano definitely better on toppings, but crust is not good and gets a bit stale.

Food was great! Salads were perfect sizes and delicious! Service was great! Italian pizza place with great views!

Giordano's is a Chicago classic that specializes in stuffed deep dish pizza, but unfortunately, it isn't my favorite! I found the pizza to be pretty mediocre, especially considering how long it takes to cook. The service was ok and the ambiance is meh. Maybe I am just a Lou Malnati's girl at heart, but whenever I visit Chicago, that is where I would rather go for deep dish. Giordano's is worth trying once if you have never had it, but for me, it is not worth the wait for average pizza!

We ordered the deep dish pizza, one spinach, one pepperoni, both were great choices. Customer Service was great, they kept me informed on arrival and delivery information. We been to the restaurant before, and the ambiance is welcoming and the staff is very friendly. Both pizzas were awesome, just as we expected, the crust was crunchy and the cheese was melting in my mouth, and the sauce was amazing. Can't wait to eat deep dish pizza one more time.

Chicago Classic - Deep Dish

My first time at this restaurant in Chicago and was not disappointed. We got sat immediately despite busy atmosphere. They had the bears game on which was perfect. The pizza was the Chicago classic small size stuffed deep dish and was so delicious! The service was great I felt attended to even though there was plenty of tables to pay attention to. Good vibes in here and clean!

If you are not going very early in the morning 10.30-11am, I recommend making a reservation. Specially for afternoon. Or wait for 40-50min. The deep dish pizza takes 40-ish minutes to cook as well so arrange your schedule accordingly. The server, Jocelyn, was the best. The pizza was good too, I had 6-inch deep dish cheese pizza which is enough for 1 person. Only negative experience was the hostess. As if she is trying to not be helpful, gives an attitude, not welcoming at all. However the manager was kind and understanding when I shared this feedback. Still, I'd try some other place next time.

The line to get in

An Uber driver who lives in Chicago recommended here and told me this is one of the places the locals go, so of course I had to try it! When I walked by, it was very crowded, loud, and busy with a line going down the street. I decided to place my order online instead, but here's something you definitely need to know: ordering online does NOT mean your deep-dish pizza will be ready quickly.Mine took about an hour and 15 minutes which I was told is pretty normal because deep-dish takes a while to make. I had my little stool with me, so I sat outside, took some pictures, and did some people-watching while I waited. There is some street parking, but there's a large building across the street that looks like apartments or possibly a hotel, so parking wasn't the easiest. They have a little To Go area where you can grab drinks and other items. I also bought a couple of their frozen deep-dish pizzas to take home and I'm glad I did! I baked one at 350° for about 40 minutes and it came out gooey, gooey, CHEEZY Iwould've liked a little more meat on it, but it was still good. They ship also. I also ordered a small/personal deep-dish pizza while I was there. By the time I ate it, it wasn't as warm as I would've liked, and I'm one of those people who does NOT like cold pizzaI know some people love it, but that's not me! So if you're like me, I recommend eating yours as soon as you pick it up from the counter while it's still hot. I ordered a soda. Total about $75 If you plan to dine in, give yourself plenty of timeThis place is very popular and the line can get LONG. Overall, the pizza wasn't bad, and I would definitely go back and try something different next time. The frozen pizza I brought home and baked fresh was actually one of my favorite parts!

Giordano's is an absolute must when visiting Chicago! I've heard amazing things about the deep dish pizza here so we had to come try it and it did not disappoint! Our waitress was super sweet and friendly. She had such an amazing personality and made the experience even better. She was very playful towards our son and made great recommendations. The pizza was delicious and so filling! I'm so happy we got to try it and will definitely come again whenever we visit Chicago again.

My friend never had Chicago deep dish pizza. I said Giordano's here we come! We were seated across from the bar and were informed that the pizza will take 45 mins. We ordered the double pepperoni. The cheese pull on the 1st slice stretched up high and was cool for photos. We finished the entire pizza and my friend is a fan of the deep dish pizza!

Is it necessary to make a reservation? Do they actually take reservations? Thank you

They don't take reservations at this location, but you put your name on a wait list when you arrive and can pre order your pizzas. It's actually a great system !

Do you offer a gluten-free pizza crust?

Check the menu says available but we ordered regular classic crust during our visit!

Is vax card required?

Not anymore , in December of 2022, but regulations could change in the future.

A few of their Chicago location websites say they have reservations but when I try to make them online, you can't. So they don't take reservations?

When I visited last month, we just walked in and were seated.

Do they do single slices?

they do not do single slices, all pizza you just order to be made. the smallest pie size is an individual which is 6". deep dish takes 45 minutes minimum to make and thing crust takes about 35 minutes minimum.

Are dogs allowed in their outdoor seating area?

Yes

Can you call in to place an order ahead of time?

Yes

Corn meal crust?

Nope!

Whens the last order time?

I believe 1 hour before closing.

Do they leave the top portion of the stuffed crust pizza uncooked for a reason?

It's not uncooked, it is just the style of pizza. Normally, pizza has the sauce and then the cheese on top. With deep dish they put the cheese with the toppings and then they top it off with the pizza sauce.

Why oh why did you get Rid of the deep fried Mushrooms?

Was replaced by some other dish during last menu update.

If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable.
