The Haberdashery is every fashionista's dream, whether it be as a buyer or seller. Their selection…read moreis upscale, with high-quality and trendy brands such as Reformation, Madewell, Cos, Aritzia, Sezane, Levis, etc., all for quite the bargain. Perfect for early-20-somethings to mid-40-somethings with an eye for fashion but with the other eye on their checking account. I've found Agolde jean shorts, a $300 winter jacket for only $110 (which has become a staple in my Maine winter wardrobe!) and countless cute sweaters and tops at a fraction of their retail price. They have a great selection of dresses apt for wedding guests, and a solid amount of high quality footwear as well. The way the store is organized is yet another plus. They organize by clothing type and color, which makes for a seamless shopping experience and caters to my selectivity. As someone who is embarrassingly picky about what ends up in my wardrobe's rotation, and is also committed to ethical consumerism, but whose wallet can't always accommodate my tastes, the Haberdashery is a godsend. I'm always surprised at what I end up finding (and walking away with) whenever I head in. As a seller, I appreciate their model--get more bang for your buck with store credit, or opt for cash-only. What a gem!!

Their perfectly fitted flannels have passed the test of time, combined with curated items from high-end brands (A.P.C., Barbour, Swans Island, Wings + Horn, etc.). They put together looks that don't go out of style, with durable clothes that have been in my closet (and on me) for up to six seasons (so far!). If you're anywhere in the area, Portland Dry Goods is worth going out of your way for. My only complaint: the buttons on their flannels sometimes jump ship, but they've reinforced a couple and I've had no issues since.

Stumbled across this place while visiting Portland, and so pleased that I did. It felt like finding…read morea great thrift store with tons of things you want to buy. The items are not vintage but all feel curated and local. Another review mentioned Etsy and it is like a live action Etsy store with multiple artists. Overall slightly pricey on some items but honestly this just helped keep me from buying 15 items. For the items I purchased I didn't feel I was overpaying, prices were what I expect from a local business. I loved the environment and display in the store. I really enjoyed taking my time looking at each and every item. Icing on the cake, there was the sweetest mellow little pittie named Lou, who sauntered out from behind the counter for a quick hello and pets. We moved on to shopping and he casually walked back to his cozy bed tucked behind the counter. Overall this was easily my favorite store I visited in Portland!

I won't lie some of the stuff is cute but I can't comprehend the pricing.
