They have it set up almost like little different rooms with different tables, couches, and/or other furniture with other art or pieces on display too. It's a really nice way of displaying their inventory with enough space for it to all be admired. While we were planning to browse and not looking to buy anything especially larger items. Due to this we did not check prices of the furniture or anything larger. They do have smaller items you can see from some of my pictures. So even those looking for a lower priced purchase you can may find something you like. We did end up purchasing a butterfly trivet as a gift that was reasonably priced. Worth checking out to even just browse their variety of antiques and vintage items.

It does carry some t-shirts and trinket type items but most of the inventory is centered around higher quality and practical clothing. The company has been around since 1902 and is perhaps most famous for it's wide selection of warm and quality sweaters. Definitely something people need to survive the winters up here. There are also heaps of shoes and boots, scarves, warm socks, hats, swimwear, sun glasses, watches and of course high quality long underwear. I even saw some life jackets in the store. Definitely a wide variety of different and very useful items. The prices here vary but tend to reflect the higher quality of the merchandise. Jansons isn't a good place to find trinkets and souvenirs but it is a great store to find quality clothing to keep your butt warm during the cold Maine winters.

Even though we didn't buy anything, she helped us find a great local lobster restaurant, giving us three choices that locals prefer. Super nice lady! The goodies inside that I was most interested included a miniature tea set that said "Delft Pottery" on the bottom, some very old and tiny spoons, and pretty pocket watches. My uncle was looking for watch fobs, which she didn't have, but if you give her time, I bet she'll add them to her collection... I collect antique dolls and toys, and there were few of these items in her collection, but she did have a neat little trike from the turn of the century. It was just not what I was looking for at the time. Since the little shop didn't have exactly what we needed, I'll give four stars, but I want to say that the kind and friendly attitude of the lady running the store is worthy of five stars!
