Obviously I would never hold that against the store or let it affect their rating. However, when I went inside and explained to the greeter that a vehicle had been hit and asked if she wanted to check whether the victim was one of their employees, she said that employees typically don't park in that lot, customers do, and seemed very unconcerned. When I said I just wanted to let someone know in case the victim came inside and could she tell them that I called the police and gave them the person's license plate, the employee asked me if I wanted her to call a manager out. I was just really put off by that as this is the first point of contact for people entering the store and I just genuinely wanted to try and help. We did spend some time in the store and in the compound. I like that they have an entire section where you can customize products and gifts and have them embroidered. I haven't seen that before and I thought it was really neat. I didn't care for any of the products that they were offering at that time which qualified for the embroidery, but if that's something you're looking for, they offer it here. They also had dog items and the store is dog friendly. We brought our pup in with us but again she just didn't find any toys that were the right size or that she was interested in. The trip here was kind of a bust for us but I can see why some people might enjoy shopping here. We were told by another traveler that this is a great place to stop for deals, but I didn't see many of those either. There's a campus comprised of multiple buildings and that was a bit confusing. It also seems like it would be easier just to have everything under one roof, but that's just me personally.

Plenty of Parking during the day, it shares spots with the BBQ Restaurant Next door, so as that business picks up, it can get a little crowded. There is so much to choose from, from toys, to clothes, to books and other children focused items. I was browsing as my sister was bringing things for consignment and wish I knew about this place prior to some of the purchases I made for her kids. Great prices, brands and variety -I was so pleasantly surprised because it's not a "huge" store. The place is very organized and tidy, makes it easy to to browse or simply run in and find the exact size you might be looking for. With kids changing so quickly in sizes and interests, this is a perfect and practical place to shop. I highly recommend checking them out. We called here to see if we could have a brass bell engraved. They were confident in their answer…read morein being able to engrave it so we dropped the bell off with them. We called to check on the bell and first were told the girl who could work on it didn't come in until 10 one morning and they would call us with an update. I'm sure there was some confusion with myself calling and my husband being the person they called back however, after we called to check again on the bell, we were told that they engraved it, didn't like how it came out, buffed it, and would be re-engraving it. Once again, when we called to check on it, we were told that the girl that did engraving didn't work on Mondays. Then, next thing we know, they are telling us they can no longer engrave it. I understand that unpredictable situations occur and perhaps my perception of the experience is a bit different, but we were told they could do something and then after apparently doing work, could no longer perform the service requested. It just felt a bit off... everyone was friendly when we would call so nothing against the employees, just ended up being a situation that set us back on this project (a gift) a few weeks longer than we would have liked and just seemed like we were being given false information.

When the appraisals came back I had to laugh on how ridiculous the appraisals were. They were less than half of what was paid when purchased and with the the authenticity paperwork showing it was a numbered Hearts on fire cut, perfect cut, perfect clarity. Looking at the paperwork for the rings all four papers were exactly the same wording with the appraisal price typed in. The rings were four completely different rings. There was no description of any of the rings beside size. I got them reappraised by two other places after, with them coming out higher than purchased price, and the two other places matched each other. My point.... Don't spend the money to appraise them there and don't believe them especially if you want to sell them to them!

This store is probably twice as big, if not even bigger. Lots of vintage, one of a kind bags, which I like the best. They have numbers or designs from the old sails on them. Sea bags has so many new designs, it is great. If you are not familiar with sea bags , they recycle old sails and turn them into bags, sacks, purses, etc. They have rope handles and clasps, so many different styles. You can bring in your old sails to have a bag made from them or get a discount on a different one. They are all made in Portland on the wharf, you can see them being made at the Portland store. Great maine made product.
