Avoid this place. Went there yesterday. Waited in the massage room for about 15-20 min before anyone came, when he did he was very loud, throwing his supplies around. He was extremely rough. Not in a deep tissue way, but like he was beating up on me almost. Anytime my hair got in the way he would literally throw it out of his way. I had to ask him to stop because it was excruciating when he was pushing and pounding ON my spine, not on either side, on my spine. Worst part, I'm now having sharp pains in my hips and back. I booked an appointment for 10am and when I arrived no one was there. I waited in the parking lot and about five after they arrived and scrambled to get everything ready. We started around 10:10 and at 10:50 she said she was done. While the massage lasted, it was really nice. Just not what they had advertised time-wise. After wards, we were shown into rooms for a full body massage, but I really just wanted my neck and shoulders worked on since I had back pain. Perhaps it was a language barrier but he decided to do full body anyways. I gestured and pointed to my lower back and said "it hurts and don't need to do." He continued regardless. Really enjoyed my massage with Andy. Normally I go to Sunny Foot Spa right by my house but lately they always give me the same lady and I'm not crazy about her. I decided to try a different place tonight and I'm glad I did! Royal Foot Spa was clean which is a huge thing for me. I liked that there wasn't a lot of wasted time during the massage. I've had massages where I felt the masseuse spent more time walking back and forth to get stuff then they actually spent massaging. That was not the case here. It was nonstop the whole time which was amazing. If you go after 9:00, they have a $25 special for 70 minutes. He did tell me upfront that it would only include 10 minutes of back massage but I wanted to try it out. Next time I probably would do one of the mix massages because the back portion was amazing. I wish I would have known that it would be so good and I would have opted for one of the mix ones upfront. But regardless, you can't beat $25 for a 70 minute massage! Very flexible and accommodated us 30 min after our scheduled appointment. I recommend the guy if you want a hard massage. The woman was a little too soft and I asked him to translate to her that I wanted it harder for my back and they ended up switching for the rest of the session. Towards the end, he said I had a lot of knots (lol) and suggested I do 10 more minutes for an additional $10 for him to get all the knots out. When the guy was working on my back I could feel him shaking from all the pressure he was trying to exert (lol again) and it was just enough. My mom on the other hand had to tell the guy to go softer in the beginning of the session BUT she said she didn't notice when the woman and man switched halfway through the session. We had an appt for the 70 min $25.00 special listed on their website. When we get there, the lady acts like she's never heard of it. I show her the website. She gets this deer in the headlights look and says no that old owner and now new owner. When I called and made the appt, I told her what I wanted. She should've told me then. She lost 2 potential customers over $10 because they won't honor website special. We found a nice foot spa a few miles away that got our business and will continue to do so.
