The food is just mediocre. The seafood was not the freshest and there was not much seafood in the dishes we ordered. I don't think I'll be back. Not the service was really good. The food was overpriced, probably because it's in the casino. read more

Food was good. Everything came out fast, hot, and fresh. We had the soft shell crab fried rice and the Pad Thai Beef. I will try something other than the Pad Thai Beef next time, as I was unimpressed with the beef. The Pad Thai had good flavor, it listed as being hot, but it is not hot and is only a slight after tingle of spice. read more

Came here late at night. The place was not that busy. We got seated and we ordered a few beers and a few dishes. I normally don't give terrible reviews but for the price this place should have better food and service. I got lettuce wraps and the Taiwanese three meat dish. Service was extremely slow and they even forgot the lettuce wraps. Overall disappointing. I will not be coming back, but really wanted to like this place. read more

I wanted to take my dad somewhere kind of nice for Father's Day. Since I love in NOVA and he's in Southern Maryland, this was a good middle point for us to meet. I also hadn't been to the new MGM so I wanted an excuse to finally visit it. This is located right outside one of the entrances to the gambling floor. The decor is interesting, in that some of it is gilded and not quite "Asian" themed (that's just me), and then some of it looked more on point. In other words, the decor is confusing and although my dad had walked past it before, he didn't realize until we sat down that it was Asian-fusion cuisine. We made reservations, which was good because they were definitely telling others there was a wait. Even with reservations, I think we still had to wait a little to be seated. Nonetheless, service was good. They had a special Father's Day menu we could select, but decided to pick a couple dishes between the 4 of us off the regular menu instead. We ordered duck, orange chicken, fried rice, and some veggies. My favorite was the duck; it had a great crispy skin. Mmm. In general, the food was tasty. However, for the prices that you pay per dish, it didn't taste like the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. I don't think I'd recommend coming here if you just wanted a bite to eat while you're hanging out at MGM, but if you wanted to dine somewhere for a special occasion, it's not bad. You're mostly paying for the pizazz of dining in the MGM somewhere that isn't the food court. read more

Been there a few times but had been a while since my last visit. Service was good. I like the view to the atrium with seasonal decor. Fried rice as a main dish was dry and not flavorful. The other dish was ok but not really worth the astronomical prices they now charge. Not recommending and not going back for sure. read more

I like the food here, but it's not a everyday restaurant to eat. It's definitely a little over priced, since it's inside of MGM. Had to add up the Location and conveniency $ :) I ordered lavender cocktail, it's too sweet for me.. but the server is very sweet made another one right away. Lin was a great server. She's on top of things and don't have to ask for anything. I love eating at Ginger as they're food is super delicious. Just terrible. Worse than fast food. And the cost for that - yikes! My favorite thing was the poor lady clearing tables by pushing around a cart filled with dirty dishes. Kinda like at a fancy restaurant where they bring around a cart with cheese options or desserts to see ahead. Nope - just disgusting dirty dishes winding their way around the place. read more

I decided to press my luck at the MGM Casino and after a bit of gambling strolled into Ginger for lunch. The hostess greeted me immediately and my server was there the minute I was seated to take my drink order. I was in the mood for wonton soup and shrimp & broccoli so ordering was simple and my meal was ready in no time. The wontons in the soup were nicely packed with wonton filling and a light noodle casing and there was an added surprise of a shrimp, slice of chicken and bokchoy in the soup. While I wanted to love the soup it had an unfamiliar flavor which threw my tastebuds for a bit of a loop, but it was still good, just not what I was used to. Weird I know. The shrimp and broccoli with brown rice was tasty. I devoured the entire serving bc I was hungrier than I realized yet then thought that for the price point ($30 ... $4 up charge for the brown rice) you'd think there'd be enough to share, but it's really not unless you're sharing with a small child. Listen, I get that eateries in a casino have higher price points, yet there either should've been more food in the serving size, a lighter price point OR the food should've blown my damn mind! I really want to give it 3 1/2 stars but I can't and 3 seems too low, so 4 it is.... you lucked out Ginger.... but I guess being in casino luck is what we all need! read more

Ginger - I came to celebrate my birthday on 9/27/2022 at Ginger with family and friends. Our waiter Song was so nice,She had a very nice personality. - Pan Asian Near Me - National Harbor, Maryland

The talk of the town is the new MGM at National Harbor. For atmoshere, gambling and a pretty attrium this is the place to be. However, the food options are debateable. We celebrated my brothers birthday at Ginger and enjoyed ourselves for the most part. I loved how they honored our reservation and were accomodating to the change in our party size and still sat us down in a timely fashion. The night was off to a great start. The food is tasty but not crazy delicious, so a little overpriced but understood because you are paying for location. The service was definetly dissapointing, extremely inattentive and unapologetic. The night ended up being a long one with the wait but we used our time wisely and had great table conversation. Take my advice- . If you are staying at the MGM and craving Asian food then try Ginger because it is convenient and you will find something tasty. But dont make a special trip, instead go to P.F.Changs. They have the same concept and you will save half the money, the food will taste better and the sevice will be great. My son comes from Baltimore to bring me a beautiful arrangement of flowers on mother's day and then said get dress were going to dinner! Excited I ran to the shower get dressed and surprisingly went to the MGM to dine at Ginger! The worst worst worst, first we were told about 1hr 45 mins before getting a table do we decided to take pics; after 45 mins went to check was told system went down yet everyone that came after us was seated especially the Asians, then my facial expression changed l, and we were being shown a table. Sat there for about 23.2 mins before a waitress came over, another 11 before the menu arrived, ordered then another 1 hr and 10 mins before appetizers came, no apology for the long wait! No drinks yet either but looking around all the blacks were the same so I was wondering is our money not welcomed at this restaurant! Our meals came about a little after 40 mins, mine had no taste so I sent it back then the manager showed up ah sorry as sorry, you didn't like your food! Re ordered and the food was there in 18mins. Needless to say my first impression is that I'll never ever go there again! Horrible service, not just to me and African American but to 98% of the other black families that were seated there as well, I looked, I saw! Asians welcomed, whites welcomed but blacks had to wait to be served and was probably spending way more! Ridiculous....they won't be getting any of my money or my sons after that experience! 1 time and you're out for me! Period end of story! They don't even deserve a start rating, smdh read more

This in-dining restaurant, is located in the atrium of the hotel and casino, it's beautiful and the space so open, the risk of exposure is low and social distancing maintained. Felt absolutely safe. We were set immediately and our server was Song. She was super speedy and an expert on their menu. She suggested most of our dinner and it was delectable and filling. We had the Walnut Prawns as our appetizer, the prawns were HUGE and the way it was fried made the texture of bite satisfyingly crunchy. My partner had th Sweet and Sour Chicken, also battered and fried to perfection drenched with a tangy and savory Sweet and Sour Sauce. I had the Diced Beef Tenderloin, cooked medium. The tenderloin was incredibly tender, as soft as butter. It wasn't a spicy dish, which is wonderful because I am so sensitive with spicy food, I literally begin to sweat on my temples, it's not pretty. So it was perfect, the dish was so tasty and satisfying, I would definitely return and order this again. For dessert we had the Matcha Mochi, comes in 4 shares, (if you plan to share that is) and my partner had the Mango with Creamy Sticky Rice. The dessert was satisfying, a gentle way to end the meal. Thank you for taking great care of us, Song. Looking forward for your incredible service and I can't wait to see you again soon. read more

Very pretty and classy looking restaurant...as expected, because it's at the MGM Casino in National Harbor in Oxon Hill. It's upscale Chinese cuisine. Pricey because of course, MGM. It's located a little past Shake Shack, across the MCM store, very close to the main lobby and also the main casino entrance. Food - they serve apps such as wings, lettuce wraps, the usual Asian apps. They have soups of course - their wonton is delish and is a good portion! For entrees... hmmm, out of the two times I've been, I'm gonna say my favorites have been the Pad Thai, Mongolian Beef (after picking out all the onions,) and Panang Curry Chicken. The price range for entrees - $22 -$29ish. Sometimes more, it varies. They have beer and cocktails but cocktails are all about $15. Expected, but I'd rather "eat" that $15 than "drink" it. To each his own. Lol. Good food but you definitely pay for it; the ambience and MGM dining experience. Their hours - Mon - Thu, Sun11:00 AM - 11:00 PM Fri - Sat11:00 AM - 2:00 AM Good food and good service. They even gave us a complimentary champagne toast & noise maker for NYE 2019. One of the security guys at the casino advised against eating here. I should have listened, but my hunger and limited diet brought me here after I exhausted all my options. The customer service is always fantastic. The servers are always polite and knowledgeable. My last visit here, I had the Special Pho. It was very flavorful, had a good amount of meat and cane with all the fixings. No complaints. I also got the fried shrimp dumplings which were sooooo good! Full of shrimp!! I included pictures of both. The dumplings come 3 to an order, I ate one before the picture. I also love the drunken noodles here. It's never crowded. I always get a seat right away. Where do I start? DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE A PERSON OF COLOR! Came here for a birthday dinner and from the start I was hit with prejudice. The restaurant was very loud and we paid for a private room. But when we asked for our curtain to be closed so we don't hear the rest of the restaurant's conversation the manager said they are "legally" required to keep the curtain open, hence the quotations. *Really I just think they were afraid we would steal from the wine cooler they had in our room* I started off with the Lollipop Lamp Chops which were EXTREMELY TINY. When I mentioned it to one of the Food Runners he agreed. LOL very telling. For my main course I had the Seafood Drunken Noodles which were a 7/10 at best. And somehow they were still the highlight of the experience. Now for the kicker! When my group began to order our food our waitress reminded us not once, not twice, but 3 TIMES about our $1000 minimum for our room. You should've seen our faces. Obviously we know about the minimum. WE BOOKED THE ROOM IN ADVANCE! At that point it was a closed case for us. Half of the table hated the bland and tasteless food. Do not come here expecting anything more than mediocrity and prejudice. The food alone would've gotten a 2/5 but because of the service alone this restaurant deserves a FAT 0. Sadly Yelp won't let me. read more

BLUF: Food is fine, but no better than I've had in most every Asian restaurant I've been in. Extremely overpriced. When you pay $25 for potstickers, you should get more than 4. Food was bland, even after I asked for extra spice. Service was attentive to the point of annoying. I think 15 seconds passed between the waitress setting down our food and her asking how it was.
