Once I found out she was working for this salon, I immediately made an appointment for a root touch-up (I ended up making a second one later on for a haircut). Sue and I go way back. Both of us worked at Ulta together a few years ago and she was my hair stylist. Once quitting from that job, I could no longer afford the prices of the Ulta salon, so unfortunately I had to go somewhere else for services. Anyways, once I found out where she worked, I made an appointment right away. When I did a root touch-up and a haircut by her, I got many compliments. Sue is a hard-worker, honest, fast, and very nice. If I have any questions or don't like a particular thing about whatever service was provided to me, I can always communicate to Sue. She will answer any question, give me advice, or try to solve whatever issue may be. I'm super happy to have her as my hair stylist!

The hairdressers were friendly, 2 women. I had both my girls come and we wanted to do a wash clip and hair dry and flat iron, but they said they couldn't do styling because they didn't have enough people. They washed the girls hair and like... partially dried it but not all the way. 4 men walked in and were waiting. I guess that's why they didn't finish the hair drying. Next time do that.

I certainly didn't until I found this place on Yelp…read more During this pandemic, I have had to fend for myself for some of my beauty routines, with hair being the last thing I want to do. There is a reason why I make good money, it is to pay people to do those things I can and could, but don't want to. My regular stylist was down for the count from the pesky virus, so I had not been able to get my hair done. I reached out on Yelp through their page and made a request for an appointment. The response was quick as someone wanted to know what service I wanted and when did I want to come in. I took a chance on seeing if I could come in on a Sunday, but never thought they would say yes....well they did. They gave me the contact info of the stylist I would be meeting with and told me to reach out to her. Tameka was quick to respond to my request and confirm the time. The shop itself is in a store front, small but attractive, with great natural lighting. It is hard to spot, but is next to the American Ale House, on the south side of Howard Street (plenty of street parking). The shampoo area is separated from the salon (two bowls) and there is a separate area for the dryers. There are about 5 stations and a receptionist desk. When I arrived, Tameka was sitting at the receptionist desk, waiting for me. My appointment was for 11 am and Tameka started immediately. I have to say she has great hands and that shampoo was amazing. Part of the service also included a steam treatment to hydrate the hair, followed by a blow dry, trim and flat iron style. Total price was $80 and well worth it, with payment handled on Zelle. My hair felt and looked amazing. Total time was an hour and a half and that is great. I hope to have my regular stylist gets well and comes back to me, but Tameka is in my contact list and I will be calling her sometime soon for another Sunday visit.

Had such a wonderful experience with my stylist Tatiana today! After not getting a trim in far too…read morelong, I went in to get that fixed. I got a silk press with some truly beautiful curls. By the time I left my hair was transformed. Had my friends asking stiff where. She was knowledgeable and professional. She was very welcoming and made me feel super comfortable as a new client. I last minute decided to get a jet black rinse and I am so happy with the results! I will be going back for sure! Grateful to have had my hair done by such a skilled person.
