After cleaning the vents and dryer and full dryer troubleshooting, we contacted At Your Service Pros (kudos to the Costco-dispatched tech for noticing the extremely hot circuit breaker). At Your Service was very flexible on appointment times, and one of their techs, Kyle, came out to service the home. Kyle reproduced and diagnosed the issue to the circuit breaker. Not only did he fix the circuit breaker, but he also noticed some of the wiring needed to be placed at the service panel, which he did as well. He also checked the other breakers while he was out there and made sure the dryer outlet was okay. Lo and behold, the dryer works perfectly now. Thanks Kyle and At Your Service for getting this issue fixed and for taking a larger look at the panel to make sure things look okay. And after a four-year period where everything has been running great, I had to have TCC come out again to check on my 17-year-old Amana high-efficiency furnace and the blower that brings in fresh air to the burners and exhausts combustion gases to an outside port along our front wall. That fan was running but cycling on and off, and we could smell some gas there at the exhaust exit panel outside. One quick email on Sunday, the 7th, and Austin from TCC arrived Monday morning to check out our issue. After disassembling our "inducer" motor/blower (a small fan in a gas furnace that creates a draft, pulling in fresh air for combustion and exhausting dangerous exhaust gases out through the flue) housing, Austin found the problem. After 17 years of use, the blower housing drain port was clogged (spider nest? dirt? both?) Austin cleaned it all out and flushed all the rubber drain tubes as well (which were also pretty gnarly), and that fixed it! All back together and running great...and the inducer blower now stays on and runs great. We're back in business on a solid 17-year-old Amana H.E. furnace! Five stars for prompt service response, fair pricing ($287 out the door), and a pleasant, professional, and communicative repair technician...Austin. Solidly recommend TCC, and ask for Austin if you can! Five Stars! P.S.: My neighbor across the street called me the next day and said that "...her furnace has just stopped working. I have called on HVAC plus several times over the last 13 years. I bought my heater and central air…read moreconditioner from them 13 years ago. Until then I had never had any problems. They installed exactly what I needed and did the install quickly with no big mess or concerns. During the summer of 2015 during a hot spell where temperatures were reaching around 100 degrees the air conditioning unit stopped working. I called HVAC Plus and they said they may not be able to make it out for about 4 or 5 days as they were booked solid due to the amount of people needing repairs or installs during the heat wave. I then called several other places but found they were all booked also. I called HVAC Plus back and basically pleaded with them that because I live in a metal box (mobile home) I was not sure me nor my pet could wait 4 or 5 days due to the interior temperatures inside my home. (over 90 degrees) HVAC Plus did something I didn't expect. The technician asked where I lived, then said he lives close to there, and if all went well with the current install he was performing, he would come by. He did come by, it was a simple capacitor that went out. He had replaced many that week due to the heat. Even though it was after his last job of the day, the repair was made and I was not charged extra in any way. He also added a new hard start that will help to lessen the pull on the capacitor for the future. They did not have to fit me in, none of the others I called gave consideration of my living circumstances in the least. Oh they were sorry, but too bad, they were booked.
