I would highly recommend Peterson Heath and Cooling to anyone looking for a clean, professional, responsive, and quick service. I had a carbon monoxide leak in my house that kept setting off the detectors at strange occurrences, but no one could find out where it was coming from. I called Peterson and Heating and they were able to come out the same day only to find out this issue was an old water heater that needed replacement. The technician was able to come out the next day and replace the water heater no questions asked. I have to say this was a great experience and I will continue to call Peterson Heating and cooling for anything HVAC related. Thanks! read more

Zach and team were recommended to me by a friend and I would recommend them to anyone. I had them come out summer of '21 because my outside AC unit was LOUD, the whole neighborhood could hear it. Instead of just replacing the fan and handing me a bill, they recommended saving the money, and get ready to need to replace the whole unit being that it was 17 yrs old. We hoped to get another year or more out of the unit. This summer '22, the darn thing finally gave up the ghost and I called Zach back. He called me back after hours and let me pick his brain with questions/ideas. He found me a furnace and AC unit that were IN STOCK!! And was able to squeeze me into his booked schedule right before the July 100+ degrees days started. My mom is back to complaining that the house is too cold. Thank you guys! read more

Zach was not only on time but willing to work around my schedule (providing he was also free at that time) to make it as convenient as possible. He was honest and professional, walking me through not only what issues my unit was suffering from, but how each part worked and why the issues were happening in the first place. Due to a tight budget he laid out what things are a higher priority than others. You can tell he truly cares about his business and wants to provide the best service in the valley. He did not push unnecessary repairs, and advised to try a few of the cheaper fixes and see how they work out before we go forward with any more expensive options. One can only hope the professionals we go to in other services (auto, home repair, etc.) have even a fraction of integrity, professionalism, and obvious desire to solve the problem before they make a dollar like Zach displays. My furnace would not come on last weekend so I needed to call for service. I used to use a well known HVAC business, but every time someone came out, they put down my 95% efficient furnace and tried to s a yearly maintenance contract. So I asked a couple of friends who they used. They said try Peterson, so I did! I have been a homeowner now for 29 years. Zach is now my new goto for HVAC service. He responded to my email on Sunday, showed up on Monday on time, fixed the problem at an extremely responsible price. Plus he tried put down the equipment or tell me I didn't need something I didn't. My name is Zach Peterson the owner of Peterson Heating & Cooling. My father has been I contractor for over 40 years now, I've been working with him in this field since I was a small boy. I later graduated school for HVAC, and got my contractor's license after 7 years in the field. So I decided to make my own company and try to make it a success. I'm really happy I'm able to help people with their Heating and AC needs, my goal is to be the place where people go because they know they can trust me. And after a four-year period where everything has been running great, I had to have TCC come out again to check on my 17-year-old Amana high-efficiency furnace and the blower that brings in fresh air to the burners and exhausts combustion gases to an outside port along our front wall. That fan was running but cycling on and off, and we could smell some gas there at the exhaust exit panel outside. One quick email on Sunday, the 7th, and Austin from TCC arrived Monday morning to check out our issue. After disassembling our "inducer" motor/blower (a small fan in a gas furnace that creates a draft, pulling in fresh air for combustion and exhausting dangerous exhaust gases out through the flue) housing, Austin found the problem. After 17 years of use, the blower housing drain port was clogged (spider nest? dirt? both?) Austin cleaned it all out and flushed all the rubber drain tubes as well (which were also pretty gnarly), and that fixed it! All back together and running great...and the inducer blower now stays on and runs great. We're back in business on a solid 17-year-old Amana H.E. furnace! Five stars for prompt service response, fair pricing ($287 out the door), and a pleasant, professional, and communicative repair technician...Austin. Solidly recommend TCC, and ask for Austin if you can! Five Stars! P.S.: My neighbor across the street called me the next day and said that "...her furnace has just stopped working. Who would I recommend?" I didn't hesitate to recommend TCC...and they were there later that day. Their technician replaced their main furnace blower motor at a fair price. Two happy customers in three days.

We were impressed so we had them come back and fix a wiring issue with our thermostat. They didn't give us any bid but I assumed it would be at most the same as the first time since it wasn't an emergency weekend call and was a fairly quick fix. Two guys came, one was clearly learning in the job. They were here about half a day much of the time spent was them leaving to get a part. At the end I was handed a bill for over $1000. I was told I had to call right then to give them my credit card over the phone while he watched me. I called back after he left to talk to the manager since the bill he gave me didn't have any indication of what the part cost or even how many hours he was there. I was told someone would call me back about it the next day. I didn't hear from them for a week so I called again. Again I was told somebody would call me back. Over a month went by before anyone did. And then they just said the bill was correct and they refuse to give out hourly rates or part costs. Terrible customer service. I suppose it's my fault for not asking for a bid upfront, but do yourself a favor and don't use Thornton.

I've been a Scott Hale customer for many years now. They've done many jobs for me and they also…read morereplaced my water heater, furnace and AC unit when they conked out. The old furnace went out the day before Thanksgiving one year, and they had a new one installed and running the same day. I appreciate the employees who have provided good service over the years. In the beginning I referred friends to SH, saying they are not necessarily cheap but they do good work. (Looking back, I realize however that I overpaid for the new water heater and other some other major expenses, I was just naïve and didn't do due diligence. More about overcharging below.) That being said, I've given up on SH. Too often my encounters with its employees go wrong. The person they send may or may not have experience with my issue, and they never ask for help from other employes. One recommended I have a new air intake installed (he came twice and couldn't get rid of the awful noise) and when I finally got a different guy over, he fixed the whistling noise just by recaulking the area; it was gone in minutes. Another guy made excuses for the (unsupervised) people who ripped up large patches of drywall because they didn't know to go through an interior wall; SH paid for the extra drywall repairs, which I appreciated. Another guy freaked out about the "sewage" he imagined must be under the board beneath my sink (there was none). Another couldn't tolerate me saying that I had never had a leaky condensation pipe until they replaced the AC. My 10+ years in my home meant nothing, and this is consistent: many times the repairmen will not give credence to anything I say, and however neutrally I state it, react as if I'm challenging them in some way. The latest incident is the $1800 estimate for replacing my kitchen sink (labor only). The guy said it would take 2-3 hours to remove the old sink (!!) and added that he would "cap the pipes" so I wouldn't lose water to the rest of house. I mean, there's upselling and then there's just BS. The plumber I hired removed the old sink in 20 mins and is charging a few hundred dollars for the whole job (including installing the new one). And of course the water to the house didn't have to be shut off, there are valves right under the sink. I'm really appalled they would just...lie.

The attendant, Mike, approached my car and immediately commented on my out-of-state plates. From there, he proceeded to push the most expensive car wash option--likely assuming that because I drive a luxury vehicle, I must want the top-tier package. That wasn't the case. I just wanted something simple. Mike attempted to input my information on his tablet, which he claimed wasn't working due to a battery issue. He retrieved a second tablet, which also didn't work. Trying to be helpful, I offered to pay in cash. Instead of accepting it, he insisted on collecting my email address. I declined, as I don't want to receive marketing emails, and quite frankly, I found the request inappropriate for a basic, one-time car wash. To my disbelief, Mike refused to give me a car wash unless I provided my email. That didn't sit right with me at all. Whether or not that's legal, it certainly doesn't feel ethical. When I asked to leave, Mike couldn't even open the gate--again blaming the tablet. It took a younger employee to show him how to manually open it. A few takeaways, Mike: 1. I was driving a luxury vehicle because I'm purchasing a luxury home in the area--not because I want to be upsold. 2. I remained patient throughout your multiple tech issues and offered a solution (cash). 3. Forcing personal data collection just to get a car wash is unacceptable. Due to the unprofessional handling of this situation and the refusal to provide service without surrendering my email, I won't be returning. You've earned this one star. No one else is to blame.

I haven't been able to leave a review yet because I can't see through the tears as I write this, so bare with me. I had a company come into my home & install a furnace a couple of months ago, as the cool air started to approach we started using our "new" furnace. After about 2 days I started feeling very sick with headaches & body aches along with my husband & our 2 kids & our dogs. We couldn't figure out what was going on. After multiple attempts with this other company I contacted Peterson Heating and cooling And they came right out & tested my home for C/O and immediately shut the gas off to my house. we finally figured out the company didn't install my furnace properly & me & my whole family were being poisoned from Carbon monoxide from this company doing a very terrible install. I knew from the moment I met the owner Zach that they were the company I was having take out this crappy furnace & install a new one the right way. I did have four other companies come take a look, but I felt the most comfortable with Paterson's Long story short, Zach was honest to God a Lifesaver! He came in & took out the botched furnace, cleaned up the huge mess the other company left, installed a vent & made my house warm again ( we haven't had heat for the last 5 weeks) My family & I couldn't be more grateful for Peterson's & the compassion they showed us. Zach is the owner of this small family owned business and is completely committed to quality work and absolute transparency. He was honest and didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. He let me know of his reasonable service fee to come out, when I made the appointment. So, no surprise charges. We found Zach online about six months ago when we needed a furnace repair. Another company had recommended thousands of dollars of repair. Zach was able to fix the problem for a few hundred dollars and fixed an installation mistake made by a prior HVAC company. So the other day our A/C stopped blowing cold and I called Zach again. He came on time and did a thorough inspection of everything that could possibly be causing the problem. He found a problem in the breaker panel and got it repaired. That fixed it, and the air is blowing cold again. He is professional, prompt, friendly, honest, and a true HVAC expert. His prices are reasonable. Highly recommended!!! He was candid about which systems provided the best value, and even provided advice that would be important if I chose not to go with him. His quote was the best I received by far. If I could put a sixth star I sincerely would! Our furnace unexpectedly went out and so I called over ten different companies to get quotes on the project. Peterson Heating and Cooling had the best customer service (spent almost an hour in my home answering questions I had about the project), the best price ($500 lower than competing companies offering the same product), and quickest response (was in my home within an hour of calling him to do an estimate and then had it replaced the next day). We were so impressed with Peterson Heating and Cooling! When our furnace went out late at night Zach come over within an hour of us calling him to give us a bid. He free up his schedule so he could come replace our furnace the very next day. They worked quietly, quickly, and clean. I have to admit I was a little skeptical about a place that only had 5 star reviews but after reading them I decided to give Peterson's a try. My a/c fan on top of the outside unit stopped. When I called he apologized for being booked the next day but promised to come the following afternoon. He gave me a one hour window and even gave me updates on his arrival time. He and James were great about keeping the area clean. After coming home from a summer vacation to a frozen air conditioner and a 90 degree home, I called Peterson Heating and Cooling that night, they were able to come over the next morning. They found out that there was water leaking on the logic board that toasted it. He looked up my unit and found it it was covered under my warranty and provided all the labor and parts for free. We also called them for a service call on our hot water heater and furnace and they were very responsive and came out as soon as they could get to us. Zach came out and serviced our heating system. He told us what we could do to extend the life of our system and was very honest and upfront with us. Doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need.
