And after a four-year period where everything has been running great, I had to have TCC come out again to check on my 17-year-old Amana high-efficiency furnace and the blower that brings in fresh air to the burners and exhausts combustion gases to an outside port along our front wall. That fan was running but cycling on and off, and we could smell some gas there at the exhaust exit panel outside. One quick email on Sunday, the 7th, and Austin from TCC arrived Monday morning to check out our issue. After disassembling our "inducer" motor/blower (a small fan in a gas furnace that creates a draft, pulling in fresh air for combustion and exhausting dangerous exhaust gases out through the flue) housing, Austin found the problem. After 17 years of use, the blower housing drain port was clogged (spider nest? dirt? both?) Austin cleaned it all out and flushed all the rubber drain tubes as well (which were also pretty gnarly), and that fixed it! All back together and running great...and the inducer blower now stays on and runs great. We're back in business on a solid 17-year-old Amana H.E. furnace! Five stars for prompt service response, fair pricing ($287 out the door), and a pleasant, professional, and communicative repair technician...Austin. Solidly recommend TCC, and ask for Austin if you can! Five Stars! P.S.: My neighbor across the street called me the next day and said that "...her furnace has just stopped working. Since I had to be away for an appointment and my husband had been supervising the visit, Rich texted me to make sure I got the quotes and answered my questions quickly and efficiently. My AC decided to die on me last week and these guys were amazing!…read more First of all I live in a gated community of townhomes and my unit is in the middle so access is not an easy task. Upon arrival these guys were friendly and very informative. They assessed the situation and let me know the fan in the unit had been completely destroyed by something getting into it. Both of my outdoor AC unit and the indoor funace/ac were 20 yrs old and not functioning well to begin with, then it started making a rattling sound and was super loud then it just stopped completely, which is the reason I called. Chase was very helpful showing me my different options and explaining the difference between them all, he offered the option of financing and helped me through the payment process and explained clearly when I asked about thier cancelation policy which was as simple as if you cancel then u are refunded your deposite in full no questions asked. The delivery of the unit was complicated as I am the middle unit in my complex so They brought in a crane and Regie helped the incredible operator direct it onto my back deck with no damage to my gutters and precision of placement, he put the new unit in place and had the old unit removed again by crane which is quite a task but such an amazing option to have especially in my situation. He also removed my old furnace/ac in the basement and brought all new equipment down for the following morning. He was a one man show on this job aside from the crane operator, I'm assuming because of the 4th of July the day before, and he crushed it!! The next day Todd and his partner showed up early and orked diligently and effectively! They we're able to come up with solutions with the thermostat and wiring that saved me some dry wall repair, which I greatly appreciate!! Several weeks ago I made an appointment for a general routine furnace and a/c inspection and service. They booked me for 6/18...I asked for an early morning appointment and was advised that the closest they could come would be an 0800 to 1100 window. Had not heard anything from them until 6/18 when I called them at 0900 to see if I was scheduled...they confirmed. At 0955 they texted me to advise the tech was running late but would be there shortly. I texted back and asked how many calls the tech had made that morning. I received no response. No one ever showed up. At 1100 I called to reschedule as I couldn't wait around any longer for them. They suggested that I not reschedule as they were several weeks out and couldn't get to me until il mid-August. I couldn't believe that...a long time customer who purchased a full system from them 9 years ago...who has had them service my system every year for both heating and cooling...and this is how they think they should solve a problem that they created. They have absolutely zero problem wasting customer time, and make absolutely no effort in trying to remedy a situation in favor of the customer. I told them that I was taking my business elsewhere. Maybe there has been a change in ownership and/or management, but whatever it is, I'm staying away from them...far away.

We used this company to replace our HVAC system this summer. The installation of the new dual fuel…read moresystem seemed to go well but when we got the final invoice we noticed that a different and smaller furnace was installed than the one on the bid. When we asked about this we were told that the one that was bid was too big for the space and that the smaller furnace would suffice for our home. This was done without any mention of the replacement to us and it appeared to be done so that the installers would not have to spend a little more time changing the ductwork. We hired an independent party to assess the size furnace needed for our home and he said that the one they installed was too small and would struggle to beat the home on really cold days. After we insisted that they make it right, they removed the small furnace and replaced it with the one in the bid. All seemed well until the weather got colder and we noticed that the system was not transitioning from the heat pump to the furnace. Long story short, they had not installed a heat sensor that is critical to the proper functioning of the system. They have corrected the problem and the system is now working well. So, this company has made good on what we had agreed to o. the bid but it took co side table effort on our part to get this to happen,

Given our fantastic experience with mini split ductless AC installation and performance in our…read moremaster bedroom in Houston, we decided to move forward with the same in Park City. Houston, TX, June 2018: Mitsubishi 9k cooling only unit with one indoor head, a pad, and a 20' line cost $3,606 Park City, UT, August 2020: Fujitsu 24k heating/cooling unit with two indoor heads, wall bracket installation, and a very short line initially cost $8,673 Thankfully, Select Comfort accommodated us without delay despite the pandemic. Because we were concerned about snow drift in the winter, we asked Select Comfort to install the outdoor unit on the exterior wall (of our master bedroom). This simplified things, making very little line necessary, so the installers were happy to oblige. We unfortunately did not understand the implications. Installation into the studs of the wall of our bedroom meant that whenever the AC was running, the entire room would hum/buzz. (The outdoor unit's vibration would transmit through the studs into the rafters--think being in a car with one window slightly cracked and how it feels to your ears.) It was a nightmare, literally, as it was impossible to sleep. We reported the problem to the salesman immediately after installation, and he sent a technician out to tighten up the bracket. We then didn't use the AC again until late June 2021. When we did, we had the same problem with intolerable vibration, but we also had a new leak (and water damage) from one of the indoor heads, so that was the first priority. Once we got that sorted, and unsuccessfully tried to remedy the vibration (again tightening up the bracket and then adding isolation pads), we requested that the outdoor unit be moved. We were happy to pay an additional fee, but since we were still within the 1-year installation warranty period, didn't feel like we were warned, and reported problems from Day 1, we hoped it wouldn't be a lot. We were offered a reduced rate of $2000 (still quite a lot). We had no choice, unless we wanted to suffer through the auditory discomfort and lose sleep. The relocation to a stand on the ground made a huge difference; however, it took a few more visits to get it running properly. (We pray there is not a leak or other issues in the future.) To be clear, we thank Select Comfort for continuing to work with us to try to make it right. But, it was painful for all. At the very least, others should learn from our mistake and not install on living quarters walls without being aware of the risk for vibration. (We just had no idea because the one in our Houston home was installed on a pad on the ground away from our bedroom.) We also suggest, if possible, planning your installation before the heat of summer, not at the end of it, so you can troubleshoot any issues early in the warranty period. Hopefully, the unit will serve us well without further incident!
