Great customer service and great work on my vehicles. I would highly recommend this place to our local community.

Happy with their service and pricing for my Audi servicing . Scheduling was easy too . I plan to continue using their help in future

Gilroy Auto Works is hands down the best shop in the South Bay. Honest people and great work. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else.

I would highly recommend Gilroy Auto Works for any repairs you need done. Arnold and the work he does is great, I took my 4runner here for a problem I was having with the EVAP system and was pleasantly surprised with the honesty and excellent customer service. Definitely will be returning here in the future read more

We needed a reasonable and trustworthy auto service professional for our vehicles. Checked on yelp and they came back at the top of the list. More importantly, I asked our neighbor who has lived in Gilroy for 70 years who he would recommend... guess what, they both came up with the same answer. Gilroy auto works did a great job. Reasonable and communicated through the process. On time and on budget. Will use them again without hesitation read more

Always great service and very knowledgeable mechanics! Saved me a from a 6000 dollar transmission repair bill!

Rock stars- best of the best! Thank you Gilroy Auto Works! You are the gold standard for auto repair AND customer service!

If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy mechanic, this is your place! Arnold was very kind when I expressed my car issues, and was able to get me in quickly. When I arrived I was greeted by Dan who answered some questions I had and reassured me that they would do a full inspection on my vehicle & get back to me as soon as they could. Arnold & Cassie run a very nice business & I will be recommending them to all of my friends and family. read more

I have been going to the same mechanic for over 10 years and since we moved, I've been going back to them but it's hard because of the distance. I found this place thanks to google. I read the reviews and thought it would place. I brought my car in for its 90K mile service. Arnold was so nice and I was very happy with the customer and car service. Would recommend this place. read more

It's surprisingly difficult to find an auto care center that will be absolutely trustworthy these days. This review is not only for Dan helping me last week, but for prior visits I've made here in the past as well. I believe the owner was the one who helped me back when I had a dodge van that had severe engine issues and he was completely honest with me and told me it would be an expensive repair with possible reoccurring issues, so I took his advice and bought a new car (my van had endless issues, there was never a full month that would go by without my check engine light coming on). I moved out of the area for a while, but now that I'm back I needed a light fixed on my car. Dan was very respectful, helpful and professional. I didn't have an appointment but he still took the time to go out of his way and help me which I deeply appreciate. I'm happy to have found an auto care center I can fully trust with my car. You will not be disappointed. Thank you so much! read more

They found my suspension problem that the other shops missed. Very happy with the work they performed and the customer service. That was my first review. Less than 2 weeks after the work my steering rack went out. The alignment was worthless after I got the car back. When I brought car in for tie rods I specifically said while all that's apart why don't we replace the rack. Would have saved 100's of dollars in labor costs. And now that I've got to get the rack replaced they want to charge full price to remove it all again. So in other words I am not happy about it. Every excuse in the book why the alignment I paid for was never straight also. So more money has to be paid to realign after the rack replaced. read more

Arnold is the nicest person on the planet. The people in the office are professional and nice as well. Other places leave grease or scratches inside and outside of the vehicle. These guys return my vehicle properly fixed, no odd damage, and with no extra charges. He even replaced a headlight without charging me. When does that happen, anywhere? This is a good place to go get your car repaired. read more

I was told by my neighbors that this was a good place to have your car worked on. Not impressed. The reception area was empty when I arrived. The shop was quiet. I had to step into the shop to see if anyone was there. I needed my automatic console shifter repaired. When I told the guy in the shop that I had the car with me he wouldn't even go out and take a quick look at what I was talking about. He said I had to make an appointment and leave it to have it looked at. I'm wondering if he was planning on charging me a diagnostic fee for a shifter. Geez. I told him I guess I'll have to find someone else who'll take a look at it. Which I did. I could see it if it was closing time, but it wasn't. Any other place would at least glance at the problem, which they did at another shop the same day. His attitude was so indifferent, so I didn't even mention the a/c work I needed done also. Obviously they either don't need the work or just not interested in gaining my business. read more

Definitely the best trustworthy place I would HIGHLY recommend. I routinely get our oil changes for a decent amount. Plus why would you want discounted auto mechanic work done, I don't have to worry about any fishy business going on here & also turn around time is realistic. Especially the courteous call I've gotten informing me of rotating my tires and asking prior to doing so, which is nice especially if financial budget is a little tight. Also why go anywhere else and feel like some shady business going on. Daniel & Arnold are amazing and honestly I wouldn't go anywhere else, I appreciate their truthfulness! read more

Owner Arnold is very knowledgeable who explains everything in laymans terms. His work is very professional and his shop extremely clean. I trust all he does on my classic muscle car. I highly recommend his shop to all my friends and family. read more

Gilroy AutoWorks is a very honest and satisfactory mechanic shop! First my hubby brought his 65 impala to get some work done. Arnold did an amazing job. Then I took my Honda accord in because the windshield motor went out. Arnold was so awesome he told me that I do need the windshield motor replaced but to call the Honda dealership because it could be covered under a recall. I appreciated his honesty because he looked out after my best interests! If you are looking for a trust worthy Mechanic you found the right place with Gilroy AutoWorks! read more

I have been wanting to write this review for a long time now. I recently had several issues in a row on a few of of our cars. It took me 20 years but I finally found an auto repair shop in Gilroy that is honest, dependable, do great work, and has great pricing. Arnold and his team are the best in town. They give it to you straight and don't try to sell you work you don't need like some other shops in town. I can take my car in and know it will be done right and on time. read more

Best Place to bring your Car! Family owned. SUPER friendly owners and staff. Affordable prices. Honest Auto Repair Shop (in case you feel like some places tack on "repairs" you "must do now"). Arnold always tells me what I need to get done soon and what can wait. I made an appointment this time for my oil change but they have also accommodated me when I've just dropped in. I HIGHLY recommend this shop! Plus they are located in a great area to take a walk in, in case you are like me and want to get your steps in! read more

Shout out to Dan! I stopped by because I needed a headlamp replacement. He provided quick and easy service. I highly recommend this place.

Took my Honda Civic in for a clutch replacement. They gave us a quote and said they would try to stay under as much as they could. They saved us a lot of money and did a great job with good time, service and grace. Definitely going back for all my auto needs. The place is clean and professional but still friendly. When I asked if they did smog they happily recommended a neighbor who got the check done quick and affordably. read more

What a great find! This shop does it all and at a fantastic price. I love that it's owned by a husband and wife team not some corporate crew that could care less about my needs. Arnold knows his cars and he takes the time to explain what needs to be done and he gets it done on time. I won't take any of my vehicles anywhere else.
