Very fair no nonsense, Mechanic/shop Frank personally took my call He told to bring in my daughter's car that had an issue with the leaking gas bringing fumes inside the car. He said he would diagnose it for free which is not common. . They could've told me it was $300 or $3000 and I wouldn't have known any better. Which a lot of mechanics will charge you as much as they can. But they ended up doing an extensive job by dropping the whole gas tank in order to fix it the car was there for two days and I thought it was gonna be doubled than what they charged me and turned out. It was only $600 and they got the problem fixed. I was pretty impressed and the problem was fixed. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend the shop read more

Called the shop and Frank answered asking me to drop off my car and he will do a diagnostic on the breaks and rest of car. Gave me a list of items he felt needed attention. Got my brakes done and was completed the same day. Clear communications great service reasonable pricing. Will go back to get the others items repaired. Overall great shop and customer service!!!! read more

Very honest, responsive and reasonably priced. We trust Frank and he never sells you on something that you don't actually need.

Frank went above and beyond to help me, and also made referrals for other services needed.

honest and straight forward. cant ask for a better service. have been taking our cars there for 15+ years now

Frank was great. He ran a diagnostic, found out the issues my car was having, did the work, and the car was ready by 3:30 pm the same day. It's been almost a week since the repairs and the car is driving great. And, his prices are very fair!! read more

Frank & team went above and beyond - multiple diagnosis as issues popped up, timely communication and incredible service until they deemed the car ready to safely drive. There's a reason why Frank's has been around for 3 generations - can't recommend them enough! read more

I came in with my car and Frank was very kind and helpful! They inspected my car saw that it was a minor issue that just needed a vacuum reconnected and they inspected the rest of my car for me with no charge. Thank you so much for making time to check up on my car! I appreciate all of your help. I absolutely recommend them if you're looking for a honest and reliable auto shop! read more

I took my car there for a check engine light. They came back saying the problem was the gas pump, and they would charge around $1,200. To me it was kind of strange. So, I took my car to the dealer, and it was something completely different. Just be aware of the gas pump classic BS. read more

Local family-owned shop in Morgan Hill. Transparent with prices and I've always really appreciated Frank's communication and advice. He's helped extend the life of my cars and I highly recommend him and his staff for any auto issues. read more

I received a call at about 2:00 thst my truck was ready. I was surprised what a great price he gave and he is such a pleasant person to deal with. I'll bring my vehicles to from now on. Thanks Frank!! read more

Great spot, definitely recommend! Frank is the best. He gave us a fair price and did solid work in my son's car.

Awesome service! Frank was able to get my Jeep into the shop promptly; checked brakes, belts and oil change. Highly recommend this shop.

Found Frank's auto service from Yelp and glad to have gone there. I spoke to Frank sr on the phone and dropped off my car that same very day for services to be done next morning. Received a call next morning once car was ready! Loved talking to Frank Sr while there and certainly will be taking all our cars to him going forward. Very pleased with the service and recommend him highly. Found a forever place in Morgan Hill for car service. Thank you Frank and Kyle who also helped me while dropping off the car. Recently moved to MH and decided to give Frank's Auto my first oil change since the move. Extremely trustworthy and knowledgeable. Reasonable prices and great work. Worked on two cars for me and did a great job.

This is my second time coming in to Frank's Auto Service for an oil change and it has been good! Thanks Frank for helping my car be in its best shape! Frank was informative about what was needed for my oil change/the filters and let me know what was the next steps for my car! I appreciated that. The only thing that takes down one star is when I called in a few times to book an appointment or check on my car, there were no phones being answered within the last hour. I brought it up but maybe the times I called was bad timing? Overall, good place to go to in Morgan Hill for your car! Note: I noticed they don't wear their masks, the auto shop is outside but it's good to know as a heads up! read more

Frank, See Service order for work done for cooling system, and quote for head gasket repair on O'Reillys scratch pad. This was given to me after cooling system was repaired and brought the car back because it was still overheating. At least you were honest and said you did not do a diagnostic while you were driving the vehicle the first time on the Diagnosis. read more

Returned again to Frank's for another service and beyond impressed again! Strongly recommend!

My car broke down on a Sunday afternoon/evening. I did not have a mechanic in Morgan Hill for my 2012 INFINITI EX35. I saw the outstanding reviews for Frank's Auto Service and called to see if I could get my car in. I had the car towed on Monday morning and in 24 hours Frank and his staff had ordered the parts and replaced my radiator and thermostat. I picked up the car and it had been washed and was ready to go! Thank you Frank, Brandy (my car) and I will see you again. Not too soon, I hope. :) read more

I was very happy to find Frank's... thanks to all the yelp reviews. I've been going to the dealership all these years I've moved from SoCal to NorCal because I don't have my trusty brother as a mechanic to check things out for me anymore. I thought it was time to look for a family owned auto mechanic because the dealership became expensive now that I have a family. Coming here, family is what I got. Frank was open, honest, and the pricing was fair. It felt comfortable conversing with Frank and like others say... it felt like family. I will definitely be coming back. Check them out! read more

Had my car towed in a few months back and Frank was extremely communicative, efficient and professional. He got things up and running in no time and was super flexible with my crazy schedule. Could not have asked for a better experience. Popped back in today with brake fluid light off and they reset everything and checked out my breaks in 5 minutes and I was on my way. Very courteous and awesome team- this will always be my go to auto shop! read more

Brought my car in for a second opinion after I had taken it to a tire shop. Frank diagnosed the same things as the tire shop, but also found another problem. I agreed to get all items fixed. After telling my husband what was going on, he questioned me about what needed to be fixed because of the low mileage on the car. When we came to pick the car up, we got to see all of the parts, and man, did they ever need to be replaced. Frank explained that the newer cars are using cheaper parts, thus, items that used to last 100K are not lasting 50K any longer. I was pleased with the work and time frame. Customer for life, or as long as we are in MH! Thank you Frank! read more

So, I believed that I needed to have my rear brakes done. I had 90k+ miles on my 2009 Honda Fit. I also heard some squeaking in the rear when braking (occasionally) and heard a grinding noise when I put on the parking brake with the car on a slight rearward incline. I went to Frank's shop to set up an appointment (I was in the area.) He gave me a quote for ~$580 for brake shoes, drums, & labor, and so I set up an appointment. Hellava better price what than what the Honda dealership was charging.($1100) On my appointment day, dropped off the car in the early AM. Got a call from Frank about 2 hours later. He said that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. The shoes still had enough meat on them, and the drums were in good condition. I know that most of the braking was done on the front brakes (front brake pads were replaced at 76K). Still, 90K miles on the rear brakes. WoW!! Frank said the car would be ready in about an hour. Frank stated that the rear brake system was put back together, and adjusted. He checked the struts & shocks: All was OK, and the car was in good condition. My wife and I went to pick up the car in the afternoon. I asked how much for his labor. He said there was no charge. We protested as he did use some labor to check out the car. (I know. I know. Paying money when there is no need to, makes no sense. But we felt that he did some work, and gave us some peace of mind.) Frank stated that he doesn't charge for an inspection. Well. A less scrupulous mechanic would have replaced the shoes & drums, and not thought any more about it. Frank said "Well, I gotta sleep at night." So I'm very pleased with Frank and his service philosophy. I think that his garage full of work and all the positive 5 star ratings on Yelp is indicative of Frank and the work he and his mechanics do. We'll be back for servicing in the future. read more

By far the best auto shop I've ever been to, and I've been to many around the Bay Area! Frank has been nothing but upfront, honest and helpful towards me and my jeep patriot. He goes above and beyond to satisfy his customers and has definitely satisfied me and my family with several issues for a multiple of different cars throughout the years, he's even done more than he should've. I definitely recommend Franks auto service because you will be guaranteed taken care of with the upmost quality service. If I could give this place ten stars I would! read more

Me and my family have been taking our cars to Frank's for years. I always feel like he is taking care of us. It is so comforting to feel like your mechanic has your best interest at heart. First time at franks this week. I can't say enough about the great customer service, price/cost and knowledge/professionalism of this business. I am a life long customer. The pricing was fair, the knowledge was exceptional and the communication was great. I highly recommend this shop and I will not be going anywhere else. Even though the location is far from my house. The extra Uber cost is worth it. read more

I have seen a lot of good review for this shop. So when I had an oil leak I towed my car to Frank's Auto Service. When they fixed the leak they told me the breaks needed replacement. I asked the shop to also do the break work. After the service, I drove the car for about a couple of weeks I started hearing creaking noise from breaking sometimes. Initially I did not pay attention since they just serviced the break. However a few months later it's getting worse and I heard more frequent squeaking noise I decided to take it back for them to check it out. And Frank told me the break disks are too thin and they need to change it. I assume they worked on it before and I also paid for previous break work, now I need to pay about $400 more for the break again. Frank is nice enough to discount on the break job in the second time, which I appreciate. read more

Frank's is the sort of auto maintenance and repair shop I've always loved and only ever had once before in my life in the mid 1980s. I've been taking my Toyota truck there for a while now and he's been great taking care of it and fixing things that need it. It's the whole package. You can trust him, he knows what the heck he is doing and he's great to deal with. I will be taking another vehicle to him soon in lieu of a dealership. This place is a gem. I hesitate to post review because I don't want him to have so much demand I can't get in there. :) But he deserves that so here I am. read more
