Very fair no nonsense, Mechanic/shop Frank personally took my call He told to bring in my daughter's car that had an issue with the leaking gas bringing fumes inside the car. He said he would diagnose it for free which is not common. . They could've told me it was $300 or $3000 and I wouldn't have known any better. Which a lot of mechanics will charge you as much as they can. But they ended up doing an extensive job by dropping the whole gas tank in order to fix it the car was there for two days and I thought it was gonna be doubled than what they charged me and turned out. It was only $600 and they got the problem fixed. I was pretty impressed and the problem was fixed. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend the shop read more

This is my second time coming in to Frank's Auto Service for an oil change and it has been good! Thanks Frank for helping my car be in its best shape! Frank was informative about what was needed for my oil change/the filters and let me know what was the next steps for my car! I appreciated that. The only thing that takes down one star is when I called in a few times to book an appointment or check on my car, there were no phones being answered within the last hour. Brought my car in for a second opinion after I had taken it to a tire shop. Frank diagnosed the same things as the tire shop, but also found another problem. I agreed to get all items fixed. After telling my husband what was going on, he questioned me about what needed to be fixed because of the low mileage on the car. When we came to pick the car up, we got to see all of the parts, and man, did they ever need to be replaced. Frank explained that the newer cars are using cheaper parts, thus, items that used to last 100K are not lasting 50K any longer. I was pleased with the work and time frame. So, I believed that I needed to have my rear brakes done. I had 90k+ miles on my 2009 Honda Fit. I also heard some squeaking in the rear when braking (occasionally) and heard a grinding noise when I put on the parking brake with the car on a slight rearward incline. I went to Frank's shop to set up an appointment (I was in the area.) He gave me a quote for ~$580 for brake shoes, drums, & labor, and so I set up an appointment. Hellava better price what than what the Honda dealership was charging.($1100) On my appointment day, dropped off the car in the early AM. Got a call from Frank about 2 hours later. He said that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. The shoes still had enough meat on them, and the drums were in good condition. I know that most of the braking was done on the front brakes (front brake pads were replaced at 76K). Still, 90K miles on the rear brakes. WoW!! Frank said the car would be ready in about an hour. Frank stated that the rear brake system was put back together, and adjusted. He checked the struts & shocks: All was OK, and the car was in good condition. My wife and I went to pick up the car in the afternoon. I asked how much for his labor. He said there was no charge. We protested as he did use some labor to check out the car. (I know. I know. Paying money when there is no need to, makes no sense. But we felt that he did some work, and gave us some peace of mind.) Frank stated that he doesn't charge for an inspection. Well. A less scrupulous mechanic would have replaced the shoes & drums, and not thought any more about it. Frank said "Well, I gotta sleep at night." So I'm very pleased with Frank and his service philosophy. I think that his garage full of work and all the positive 5 star ratings on Yelp is indicative of Frank and the work he and his mechanics do. We'll be back for servicing in the future. read more

I have seen a lot of good review for this shop. So when I had an oil leak I towed my car to Frank's Auto Service. When they fixed the leak they told me the breaks needed replacement. I asked the shop to also do the break work. After the service, I drove the car for about a couple of weeks I started hearing creaking noise from breaking sometimes. Initially I did not pay attention since they just serviced the break. However a few months later it's getting worse and I heard more frequent squeaking noise I decided to take it back for them to check it out. And Frank told me the break disks are too thin and they need to change it. I assume they worked on it before and I also paid for previous break work, now I need to pay about $400 more for the break again. Frank is nice enough to discount on the break job in the second time, which I appreciate. read more

Frank's is the sort of auto maintenance and repair shop I've always loved and only ever had once before in my life in the mid 1980s. I've been taking my Toyota truck there for a while now and he's been great taking care of it and fixing things that need it. It's the whole package. "WOW!" I've been a long-time customer of Frank's Auto Ser.but, this last repair "Will be my last!" Frank charged "More" than what the Toyota dealer would have charged for parts and labor! His labor charge was $180 for something the dealer would have charged $60.00! Parts total was $560.00 while the dealer would have charged $624.00.
