Service is the best in the area. Friendly, respectful, quick... can't say enough great things about the staff. It feels like you're on the Cheers set, if Cheers served great food. However that's just not fair now, is it? I love the interior. Dark, but there's one window in the front. Comfy booths. It's got the Boston bar feel. I don't know if that's a compliment for everyone, but I mean it in the best way. Established and substantial. Service is good. Clyde, the only bartender I've encountered is a pretty cool cat. Go visit him and see what I mean. The drink menu is impressive with old school tiki bar drinks highlighted. However, that Sparr Cocktail (a manhattan) rings my chimes too. I've had both lunch and dinner. Some stand outs: the crab cakes, the roast beef dip, and the sand dabs at dinner were all very satisfying. I just remembered the cobbler of pears poached in red wine! So good! I also had a filet one night and it was cooked perfectly. Check out John Sparr. You won't regret it unless you get a ticket for not curbing your tires!

It was actually a collaboration with three Filipino breweries in LA. We really enjoyed the beer here and ended up doing three rounds. Of course we had the Jollibeer, which is a Peach Mango Lager. Their ube-flavored drinks are also really good, so we tried the Ube Macapuno Porter. Their calamansi drinks are amazing too, so we had Lola's Wit, a Belgian Wit with calamansi and coriander. They also have some interesting Japanese beers like Yasuke, a Matcha Black Lager, and Kanpai Krush, a Sushi Rice Lager. I'll definitely be back for more of their great tasting beer. As a bonus, they also have disc golf. One of the employees was really cool and even let us take some discs home.

I do appreciate the know-how of the bartender/brewer in their knowledge of the beer they brew here as well. The ambiance is cohesive and family safe. There are plenty of folks from the movie industry kicking back at this place, a trivia night, families hanging out; the vibe is chill here. A Food truck is generally always around. The one downside is their parking situation isn't super big. Their location is basically in a large garage warehouse, but it's very well put together. The expanded available parking in just nearby under the overpass which could use some lighting but it's only a few yards away from the friendly-establishment. I'll never say no to this place to visit a friend for a solid pint of beer. Good stuff Brewyard!

The establishment was named after Elias Jackson "Lucky" Baldwin - a prominent 19th century businessman who purchased over 40,000 acres of land in SoCal including Rancho Santa Anita, which became the foundation for Arcadia, Baldwin Park, & Baldwin Hills. He also built the opulent Baldwin Hotel & Theatre in San Francisco. I've been here in the past to watch Soccer matches with friends. The vibe is lively, especially during a match. Inside is reminiscent of a cozy countryside pub with exposed brick & wooden beams. The outdoor patio is dog friendly (they even have a doggie menu), and it is charming at night with the lights. My friend and I stopped in for a drink. He had a beer and I had a glass of Chandon. (They do have a full bar.) The bartender was friendly and checked on us frequently. We enjoyed our visit and conversation. I'm sure this place will be packed during World Cup. *Dog Friendly *Adjacent parking garage (90 mins free) or metered street parking.

Happy to say…read moreit's still the same cozy, welcoming place, with friendly servers and a beer selection that's hard to beat -- possibly, it can't be beaten at all. That said, when I'm in a Pub I tend to go for Guinness or some kind of 1/2 & 1/2, and this time I chose Smithwick's with a Guinness topper. My bartender, Sarah, proffered a perfect poor, with a smile and a laugh, and I was ready for a good time. The menu is packed with traditional pub favorites plus other general sandwiches and salads, etc. I decided on their Reuben, which is built with Corned Beef, Swiss, Sauerkraut, both Russian AND Mustard, and it's served with fresh cut Fries. The sandwich was hearty and generously made, with flavorful corned beef boasting all the best of the pickling spices without too much salt -- the cook knows how to balance flavors. The sauerkraut and melty Swiss provided a rich, acidic contrast to the beef, an effect echoed by the blending of Russian with Brown Mustard. Then there was the bread -- an artisan rye with good flavor, appealing texture and just the right amount of fresh seeds to let you know this bread came from an oven not a bag. Fries were hand cut, as advertised, arriving hot and crispy with just the right dusting of salt -- a perfect match for the Reuben. This being Monday night, it was quiet on Colorado Blvd., and the restaurant had only a few people at dinner time. While this was a laid-back visit, I'm well aware the place can get busy and boisterous when people descend on their back-alley entrance, and it's hard to know which scenario would be better: the high energy pulse or the calm conversation. Best to come in multiple times for a proper scientific analysis (as well as several cold pints and a few very good meals).

The chicken was a little dry and the seasoning on it just tasted spicy to be spicy. No real flavor. The cucumber and slaw also did not help with the bland taste.
