Very beautiful bakery with seating tables. Everything looks in home made. I had the spinach empenada which was great. I did not like the croquettes they were all dough and very little ham with a soggy crust. But it can also be personal taste, I just like Mine crispy and more ham inside.

They need to work more on their customer service skills but other than that, I will say the price value doesn't match with the quality of the food. But then again, that's food from the airport for ya. I ordered a Milanesa chicken sandwich and water. I don't know what the heck was at the end of the sandwich because I tasted something real sour and rotted. I wasn't able to finish it because of that. My relative ordered Picadillo and it was way better than my sandwich to be honest haha. The picadillo was around $6 and my sandwich was around $10. Though, I do like the layout and design of the cafe.

Gilbert's Bakery is not the same as it used to be. The staff could use more customer service training. I ordered a pimento roll, a ham roll, and a pastelito. When I took a bite of the pimento roll, it was still frozen. I assume they prepare them in advance, freeze them, and then thaw them to sell, but mine had clearly not been thawed properly. In addition, the warm pastelito was placed in the same box as the frozen items, which affected its quality. Overall, the experience was disappointing.

I tried their iced Tres Leches Cortadito and a ham & cheese empanada. Both were good!

Nona Rum Cakes and Mini Señoritas

Love the Nona Rum Cakes from Gilbert's Bakery! My family always enjoys them when I bring them home and they definitely do not last very long. I will say, all the times I have tried their patelitos and croquetas I have been disappointed. This last visit I ordered a Ham Pastelito and Croqueta, they gave me a Beef Pastelito instead which I happily took because it's one of my favorites but both the pastelito and croqueta were cold and seemed like they were old. I can only vouch for their wonderful desert pastries. I typically go for the rum cakes + mini señoritas and always pair it with a cortadito!

Flan, Guava pastry, Capuchino cake, Cortadito

I ordered the flan, guava pastries, capuchino cake, cortadito, and the packaged alfajores. Everything was delicious! The flan was creamy and smooth and had a little fruitiness from the vanilla they used. The guava pastries were fresh and crisp and flaky. The capuchino cake had a wonderfully flavored syrup, it was sweet but had enough liquor to offset the sweetness. The alfajores were soft and had icing but it wasn't too sweet. And the desserts went well with the cortadito which was also delicious. The staff was also friendly and very helpful.

Chicken Menesier

Not what it used to be. Bought a chicken Menesier and got a chunk of dried chicken inside. Also got a meat pastry and an asparagus bocadito that barely had any filling inside. It is a shame.

Good quick service, and great cuban bakery food, always a joy in the morning for some pastelitos, tostada, and cafe con leche!

It's so refreshing to find a place in the U.S. that delivers the authentic flavors of an Italian bakery without compromise. Everything is incredibly fresh and high quality -- from the flaky, perfectly baked pastries to the excellent bread. Each bite genuinely brings you back to Italy. The space is warm and beautifully designed, perfect for a relaxed breakfast or a quick stop, and the staff is always kind and welcoming. A little slice of Italy in Miami that I highly recommend to fellow Italians and to anyone who appreciates great food. I'll definitely be back!

The Cortaditos will be a taste I chase till the next time I make it to a Cuban coffee spot, it was a perfect energy after eating enough for an elephant. My Cannoli was the most densely filled I've had and beat all expectations. The Tres Leches tasted different than the one I typically prefer at my local taqueria but the difference was not a bad one. Our coffee for the road was very pleasant to sip on as we finished desert and ended the evening. I even had half of mine left I put in the hotel mini fridge to drink as a pick me up before out early morning flight and it was so much better than any other coffee I could have sourced that morning. Prices are unbeatable too, 2 deserts, four coffees, and a souvenir shot glass came to just over $20. Once again, Versailles offering the best value of the trip and getting my money fair and square!
