She's truly amazing! This is my go-to spot; excellent service at reasonable prices. To management: since vagrancy is a big issue in mid-town at the moment, I would strongly suggest that you install a buzzer system in this shop. Yesterday a man who had been pacing the sidewalk for a few minutes walked in and asked where 50-cent lived. Clearly this person has some mental health issue and may possibly be homeless. I have also witnessed belligerent behavior from other vagrants in the neighborhood. The ladies are often alone until the next customer comes in. For the safety of your patrons and your employees, please install a buzzer to keep undesirables out!

Interior is clean and airy, and they are running a well oiled threading machine upstairs. Ladies are efficient. Despite all of the staff being occupied, we were able to walk in and get service after only 5ish minutes. They are maybe too efficient because I noticed they didn't do a very thorough job. I had to fill in and tweeze a bit after. However, they got the 80% of the job done for a reasonable price. Good option in a pinch

Sarina was so nice right from the start, and did an incredible job of somehow finding a shape in the two little caterpillars I'd been sporting for a couple years!  Despite the overgrowth, she managed to make the experience virtually painless, and while she took her time and I never felt rushed (like I do at some other threading spots), I still was out the door very quickly, with no angry redness on my face to reveal where I'd just been, so I could easily get on with my night. If you're like me and looking for a new regular spot in the Midtown area, this is it!  (And Sarina is your girl!)

However, I chose Neelam's because of the reviews and the pictures seemed cleaner than walking by the salon right across from me, and it was the right choice. She was easy to book online and answered my questions immediately when I sent it through and offered for me to come in 15 mins sooner since I was close. There was a regular client before me and 2 after me so she's definitely popular. I had a couple ingrowns after my Brazilian so she threaded them out. Even though I've been threaded/waxed for years, she explained things and was very gentle. Wish she was available at home, but will definitely bookmark her for when I'm back in the city. Thank you!

When I moved from Chicago to NYC in 2018, I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to find anyone to do my threading and waxing the way my ladies back home had been doing for over 15 years. Surprisingly, I found this gem of a place, even though it's across town from me, and I haven't had to look elsewhere since! Himalayan has the best service, chillest vibe, and they are always on point! Sonya is my go-to lady and she's kind, funny, and efficient! I love that I can be in and out for a leg wax and threading in less than 30 mins! I'm pretty sure my commute takes longer than the services, but it's always worth the trek across town.

I told her that I'm allergic to black henna multiple times, specifically PPD, but she insisted that her henna is 100% natural and that there's different kinds of hennas and hers is just a naturally darker one. I confirmed multiple times because I said that I thought henna was orange and my hair is black and I didn't want to henna orange into my hair. She reassured me that it was completely safe and natural, and that there was no way anything would happen because there are no chemicals. 24 hours later my eyebrows are super red, itchy, and have started to blister. All signs of a chemical burn. I messaged her asking for the ingredients that was used so I can take it to the doctor, but suddenly she's in an accident or her car is on fire and she wants to talk to me on the phone. I tell her to call an employee instead to send me a photo of the product. Now she doesn't respond. I went to the salon again today to try to see what the heck she put on my face but suddenly the product is in the garbage that was taken out yesterday, and they don't have any more of this product to show me. They are lying about their products and take no responsibility for causing this, especially when I had specifically disclosed this particular allergy. NEVER GO HERE. I will be filing an official complaint with the state and small claims court. This is totally unacceptable.

I went in with the goal of getting an eyebrow lamination with no prior research. I asked soooo many questions and was met with honest suggestions, you could tell they aren't money hungry and care about their clients. They started with threading where she asked me how I typically like the shape to look (I'm never asked that, so I was shocked). Then, she made them thinner so the lamination would look natural. I have a sparse tail, so she advised me to get them tinted as well, but I chickened out lol (I'll get it tinted next time) Eventually, I decided I also wanted a lash lift just to try it out. She (I wish I remember her name) took me to the back room and explained every step she was doing with my lashes. The room was relaxing enough to the point where I fell asleep. The lash lift took an hour, then she began laminating my brows . After the treatment, she gave me the do's and don'ts for maintenance. I will be going back for my 5-week brow lamination refresh here on out! I'll never cheat on this place !!
